“Assassin what are you doing?”Jane asked Bella when she saw the vampire walking towards the arcade carrying a bunch of cleaning supplies.The supplies weren’t the confusing part as Bella didn’t like people touching her things so she cleaned her rooms herself.The part that confused Jane was why Bella decided she needed to do it right then.Jane had expected Bella to be in her room hidden away from everyone taking time to process everything that had happened in Alaska not cleaning the arcade.Seeing Bella point to the cleaning supplies then to the arcade Jane rolled her eyes.”Yes, I know you are going to clean the arcade, what I want to know is why are you doing it right now?”

“Does she usually clean things?”Rosalie assumed that members of the guard took care of cleaning the castle.

“The Assassin doesn’t like people in her private spaces so she cleans her rooms herself.Now why are you cleaning the arcade?”Jane asked again.When Bella took her hand Jane held back a smile.”You want it to be clean for when Kate visits.”

“You’re cleaning up for Kate?”Rosalie was surprised that Bella would put in the effort.Bella nodded and pointed at Rosalie then to the door Rosalie figured was the entrance to the arcade.”What do you want me to do?”

“She wants to show you the arcade.”Jane told her.

Bella nodded again and held the door open for Rosalie.Rosalie walked in and was almost overwhelmed with how big the room was.When she had been told there was an arcade she had thought it would have a few stand up games and maybe a console or two.That was not the case as there had to be over 4 dozen stand up games and a huge screen that covered an entire wall with a comfortable looking living room set.Rosalie was already picturing spending time cuddled up with Bella on the couch watching her play her games.”It’s very impressive.”

“The royals all helped find the games.”Jane smiled thinking about how competitive the royals got trying to outdo each other to find the game Bella would like the best.Athenodora had won when she found a game that had guns that shot zombies.Bella and the queen played it together often.

“Do you need help cleaning?”Rosalie asked earning a shrug from Bella.

“Why don’t you show Rosalie how to clean one then she can do one on her own.”Jane suggested.

Bella waved Rosalie over to her and began to methodically clean ever inch of the stand up game.Rosalie made sure to pay close attention because she didn’t want to accidentally ruin one of them.Once Bella was done she handed her the bucket of supplies and pointed to the one next it.”Make sure to tell me if I do something wrong.

Jane stood back and watched as Rosalie carefully touched the machine.She was pleasantly surprised when Bella touched Rosalie’s hand numerous times to correct her.Even though Bella was wearing gloves Jane hadn’t expected Bella to initiate any type of touch with Rosalie so soon.She reasoned that Bella did know Rosalie from when she was human and that Bella was somewhat comfortable with her.If Bella wasn’t Rosalie wouldn’t have even been allowed in the arcade.

“Did I do alright?”Rosalie asked Bella when she finished.When Bella had touched her hand Rosalie had tried not to react but it was hard.All she wanted was to pull Bella into her arms and hold her close to make sure she was really alive but Rosalie didn’t want to upset her.She thought the touches were a good sign but wished that Bella would take off her glove so Rosalie could actually talk to her.Bella nodded and walked away.”Are we supposed to follow her?”

“Why don’t you just start working on the next machine.She will come back when she’s ready.”Jane wasn’t worried.Bella wouldn’t leave them alone in the room even if they were her mates so Jane knew she would be back.

Rosalie was about to ask more questions when all of a sudden music starting playing.Very familiar music.Music that Rosalie hadn’t listen to since she was forced to leave Forks with the rest of the Cullens.Venom tears filled her eyes as she listened.When Bella came back it took everything inside Rosalie not to rush into her arms and sob uncontrollably.”You remembered.”

“What did Bella remember?”Jane asked.

“Bella had an old truck.Edward would make me fix it for her when it would break down.It was the only time I was allowed to spend time with Bella alone.We used to listen to this band while I worked on her truck.”Rosalie couldn’t believe Bella actually remembered.

“And is this a good memory for you?”Jane wanted to make sure that Bella wasn’t bringing up something that would trigger her.When Bella took off her glove and touched Jane’s hand Jane was overwhelmed with images of Rosalie as she danced around a garage with grease on her cheek and other images all related to Rosalie and a very old red pick up truck.Jane felt her eyes fill with tears at the amount of happiness Bella felt during those moments.Never before had she felt Bella feel anything even close to that.

“What did she tell you?”Rosalie was concerned by how emotional Jane had gotten over whatever Bella had said.

“She showed me how she felt about the times you spent together fixing her truck.”Jane cleared her throat to get control of her emotions.This would be something she would definitely be bringing up with Didyme.

“Was it bad?”Rosalie was afraid to know what Bella had felt about her when she was human.Rosalie knew that Edward and Alice went out of their way to bad mouth Rosalie to make Bella hate her so Rosalie didn’t think anything Bella felt when she was human would be good.

”The memories she just showed me about you are the happiest memories of her human life I’ve ever seen from her.”Jane told her.

”You liked spending time with me when you were human?”Rosalie asked Bella.Bella shrugged in reply and went back to cleaning the machines.Rosalie wanted to push the issue but it was obvious that Bella didn’t want to talk about it anymore.”So when is Kate coming?”

“I expect them to be here by tomorrow morning.”Jane knew that Kate would be pressuring the rest of her coven to leave as soon as possible.

“That soon?”Rosalie wouldn’t think that the Denali would be in such a hurry to visit the castle.

“Kate was very excited about being able to not only visit the arcade but to be allowed to help with the punishment of your coven.”Jane told her.

“My former coven.”Rosalie would never be a Cullen again.

“That’s true you are a Volturi now.”Jane was pleased that Rosalie wasn’t clinging to her sire.It would have complicated things if Rosalie was actually loyal to the man.

“Will I have to take Volturi as my last name?”Rosalie figured since Bella was a guard member and that Jane already used it that she would have to as well.

“It’s up to you.I think that Didyme would appreciate it if you did but no one will force you.”Jane said.

“I don’t mind changing it.I only kept Hale because it was a way to rebel against Carlisle.”Rosalie was more than willing to shed the last link to her human family.They treated her horribly and Rosalie didn’t want anything to do with them.

“We can bring it up to the queen next time we see her.She is probably already planning on how to present you at court so that everyone knows that you are under their protection.”Jane knew that the queen would be worried about Rosalie’s safety and would be taking whatever precautions she could to make sure Rosalie stayed safe.

“I am going to be presented to the court?”Rosalie was surprised to hear that.

“It’s the only way to keep you safe because you aren’t part of the guard.I suspect that you will be given the title of Volturi princess but I don’t know what the royals have planned.”Jane figured that would be the title the royals would give Rosalie as there wasn’t any other that would guarantee that Rosalie be left alone.

“I’m not a princess.”Rosalie said.

“Actually by being Bella’s mate you are the princess consort as am I.Bella may be the Silver Assassin but she is considered the Volturi princess.She would have been presented to the court but she didn’t want that.”Jane knew that Didyme had been upset that Bella didn’t want to claim the title but respected her daughter’s wishes.

“I didn’t even think of that.”Rosalie added Bella being a princess to the list of things that she was going to have to get use to.

“Regardless of what they call you you will receive training to fulfill your role.”Jane told her.

“When do I begin that training?”Rosalie hoped it was soon because she wanted to be able to prove her worth to the not only the royals but to Bella as well.

“Not until after the Cullen’s punishment.”Jane knew that nothing was going to happen until the Cullens were taken care of.

“What is that punishment going to be?”Rosalie asked.

“The royals are planning a gladiator tournament with the main event being Bella fighting every member of your coven except for Emmett and his mate.”Jane was looking forward to seeing the look on the Cullen’s faces when they found out their punishment.

“Isn’t that dangerous?”Rosalie knew that Bella was skilled but wasn’t sure she could fight all five of her coven members by herself.Especially with Jasper’s fighting ability and Carlisle’s age.

”Maybe for the Cullens but not for Bella.She has defeated bigger threats than your former coven.”Jane knew that the only problem Bella would have with the fight would be not killing them right away.

“I’ve heard the rumors.”Rosalie and the rest of the vampire population had heard the stories of how deadly the Silver Assassin was.

“The rumors you heard are no more than pleasant children stories compared to the truth.Bella is the deadliest vampire that has ever existed.She could take on the whole Volturi guard plus myself and my brother and not only kill every single one of us but do it without even lifting a finger.”Jane told her.

“How is that possible?”Rosalie wasn’t sure that she believed Jane.

“Bella has trained her shield so that she doesn’t even have to touch you to remove all your limbs and head at the same time.I’ve seen her do it while not even looking at the victim.The only reason she puts in the effort is because she likes to fight.”Jane knew that Bella could easily overthrow the kings if she wanted to.They were just lucky that Bella didn’t want the responsibility.

Rosalie looked over at Bella who was cleaning a machine in another row not paying attention to Jane and Rosalie’s conversation.It was hard to believe that the human she had loved had turned into such a formable creature.Human Bella was shy and hated confrontation.She was a people pleaser who went out of her way to make those around her happy no matter the cost to herself.Now she was a violent killing machine who held no remorse for her victims.It broke Rosalie’s heart knowing the events that led to that happening.She just hoped that one day Bella would let her carry some of the emotional baggage those events created.

“Who is messaging you?”Jane asked when Bella joined them holding up her phone.Looking at the screen Jane saw a message from Aro.”We will come with you.”

“What’s going on?”Rosalie asked.

“Aro is going to be questioning Emmett and his mate and asked Bella to meet him in the room the couple are being held in.”Jane was glad that Bella hadn’t locked herself in her room.If she had they wouldn’t be able to question anyone so soon.

“Am I allowed to go with you?”Rosalie wanted to be there when her brother was questioned.

“I think if Bella wants you to be there then Aro will let you.”Jane said.

“Can I come with you?”Rosalie asked Bella.When Bella nodded Rosalie sighed in relief.

“Let’s get going we don’t want to keep Aro waiting.”Jane said.

Rosalie followed behind Jane feeling extremely happy that Bella had decided to walk next to her.It seemed that she was making good progress with Bella.Rosalie had been worried that with the warnings Jane and Bella’s parents gave her that Bella would go out of her way avoid Rosalie.That wasn’t the case though.If anything Bella made sure Rosalie knew that she wanted her company.Especially when she played Rosalie’s favorite band.It made her wonder exactly what Bella had shown Jane that made the usually severe vampire so emotional.Hopefully one day Bella would show Rosalie as well.Until then she would continue to go at Bella’s pace.It wouldn’t be to much of a problem because after thinking Bella was dead Rosalie was willing to do anything to be with her.
