“Your majesties I present Emmett of the Cullen coven.”A guard said as he led Emmett into the throne room.Rosalie froze at the sight of her brother.She had hoped that Emmett had been able to break free of the sire bond.Looking at him now she felt that hope die.The Emmett she knew was very protective of those he loved.He had many times stood up to Carlisle and always made sure Rosalie was alright.Watching as he focused all his attention on Bella and not even give her a second glance was not like him.He hadn’t even acknowledged the Denali standing with the guards.He only had eyes for Bella and those eyes were full of rage.Something Rosalie had never seen from her bother before.

“Welcome Emmett.”Sulpicia began only to be cut off by Victoria’s growls.

As soon as she saw Emmett Victoria’s gift alerted her to danger.Not even thinking about it she had Bella behind her back while she crouched in front of the newborn ready to defend her if necessary.She snarled at Emmett.”Stay back.”

“Victoria what’s wrong?”Bella was on full alert.If Victoria reacted like this that meant something triggered her gift.

“The boy means you harm.”Victoria told them.

“Restrain him.”Athenodora ordered the guards.

“What are you doing?I didn’t do anything wrong.”Emmett tried to fight off the guards but he was easily overpowered.

“Your majesties I know Emmett.He would never willingly hurt Bella.”Rosalie knew her brother would never harm anyone.

“Then this is a sire command.”Sulpicia concluded.

“What does the boy have to say for himself?”Didyme wanted to know what angle Emmett was going to use to get out of this situation.

“Yes, explain to us why you are here.”Athenodora said.

“My queen.I am here because after Rosalie was able to get away it gave me hope that I could fight the command that kept me with the Cullens.I overheard Carlisle mention that Rosalie had met up with Bella and they were here so once I was free I came here immediately.”Emmett told them.

“Carlisle was careless enough after Rosalie left to give you the opportunity to break free from the bond?”Sulpicia didn’t believe that for even a second.

Emmett nodded.”When he got news of Rosalie having made contact with Bella and had sired her he was furious.He started gathering allies and is making plans to overthrow you.It was because his attention was focused on that he didn’t pay attention to me.I honestly doubt he realizes I’m gone.”

“Who are these allies he has gathered?”Didyme wanted to know so she could hunt them down and kill them for putting her daughter in danger.

“I didn’t recognize any of them your majesty.”Emmett said.

“You don’t know who he is aligning himself with?”Sulpicia just added that to the list of things she didn’t believe.

“The only ones I know for sure are Alice, Jasper, Edward and Esme.”Emmett listed off.

“What are his plans?”Athenodora asked.

“Carlisle plans to gather all his allies and storm the castle.”Emmett told them.

With every word spoken Sulpicia’s list was getting longer.”So you have come here to seek protection and in return the only information you can offer us is that Carlisle is gathering allies, allies you can’t identify to storm the castle.When is he planning to do this?”

“I don’t know.”Emmett replied.

“I see.”Sulpicia shared a look with Athenodora.It seemed her love was thinking the boy was lying as well.Trusting Bella’s gift she spoke.”Bring the boy to me.”

“What are you doing?”Emmett asked in panic as the guards dragged him forward.

“Give me his hand.”Sulpicia took Emmett’s hand in her own and concentrated.Going through the boy’s thoughts Sulpicia focused on the important details.Once finished she threw his hand away from her.”Take him to the dungeon.”

“I have done nothing wrong!!”Emmett screamed.

“You think I’m going to allow you to remain free so you can follow through on your plan to capture Rosalie and Bella and if that failed kill Bella?”Sulpicia wasn’t surprised by the growls of Bella’s bond mates and the Denali sisters.

“Emmett what did Carlisle ask you to do?”Rosalie asked him.

“Carlisle didn’t ask him to do anything.He volunteered.”Sulpicia told them.

“No, he wouldn’t do that.”Rosalie was sure Emmett wouldn’t do something like that.

“But he did.He has hated Bella ever since you locked eyes with her in the parking lot.”Sulpicia wasn’t happy that she had to hurt Rosalie but she wouldn’t lie to the girl.

“Why would you hate Bella?You always encouraged me to fight for her.”Rosalie didn’t understand any of this.

When Emmett didn’t speak Sulpicia answered for him.”The boy has been in love with you ever since you saved him.It was that love that had him agreeing with Carlisle’s plan because your sire promised once he got you and Bella away from the castle he would force you into a false mate bond with him.”

“Emmett!!”Rosalie couldn’t believe that the Emmett she knew would go along with that.”How could you?!”

“No how could you?I have been by your side for over a century and never have you given anyone the time of day.Then she comes along.”Emmett snarled at Bella dropping his act.”And all of sudden you’re in love.It should be me you open your legs for not some fucking abomination.”

Athenodora was suddenly off her chair and had a hand around his throat.“Don’t call her that!”

“She should feel lucky Edward still wants her.”Emmett choked out.

“Can I kill him?”Kate asked.

“I think that honor should go to Bella.”Didyme said.

Bella wanted to kill him but wasn’t sure if Rosalie would be alright with that.”I think Rosalie should decide.”

“I want to do it but I want some time with my mate first.”Rosalie needed a moment to take in everything that happened.She was furious with Emmett and his deception but he was still the person she had relied on most of her vampire life.

Athenodora tossed Emmet to the ground.”Throw him in the dungeon.”

“I’ll kill you!!”Emmett roared as he rushed around the queen towards Bella.All at once the queens, Denali sisters and Bella’s mates moved to intercept him but before they could get to him he was flying through the air slamming into the wall.

“Bella are you alright?”Victoria ran her eyes over her mate making sure nothing was wrong with her.

“I’m fine.”Bella assured her.

“I don’t think Emmet is.”Kate pointed to the vampire who was slumped on the floor.He looked to have been missing an arm and a leg and his body was covered in cracks.The only sign of life was his groans of pain.”That’s got to hurt.”

“Collect his pieces and put him in the dungeon.”Athenodora once again ordered the guards.”The rest of you are dismissed.”

Bella stepped closer to Rosalie and pulled her into a hug.”It will be ok.”

“I don’t know how.”It was taking everything inside Rosalie to keep herself from breaking down.

“What exactly did you see?”Tanya asked Sulpicia.

“As I told you Emmett has been in love with Rosalie every since she saved him from the bear.It seemed that he accepted the fact that she didn’t love him back because she didn’t show interest in anybody else either.”Sulpicia told them.

“But he was the one to encourage me to fight for Bella.”Rosalie didn’t understand that part.

“It was all part of his and Carlisle’s plan.Carlisle knew that he loved you and used that as a way to control not only him but you.”Sulpicia explained.”Emmett was the one who told Carlisle of many of your indiscretions making it so you were unable to get away from the coven.”

“He was the one who told Carlisle.”Rosalie thought about all the times she had confided her plans to Emmett and the way Emmett had consoled her when Carlisle found out.

Bella pulled Rosalie into her side holding her as close as she could.”We’ll get through this.”

“What happened when Bella came into the picture?”Irina asked.

“When the group saw Bella and Rosalie confirmed the mate bond Carlisle spoke to Emmett and told him to interfere.Emmett’s orders were to keep Rosalie away when Bella was around.The reason he encouraged you to not give up on Bella was because he wanted you to tell him how you planned to get close to her so he could either stop you or tell Carlisle and Carlisle could stop you.”Sulpicia was somewhat impressed with how much planning was put in place to convince Bella Edward was her mate.

“If Carlisle wanted Rosalie to stay away from Bella why didn’t he force a false mate bond between Rosalie and Emmett?”Tanya knew that the sire bond could make a vampire bond with a person who wasn’t their mate and wondered why Carlisle didn’t enforce it.

“It was Carlisle’s plan to use Rosalie as a bargaining chip if he needed to form an alliance.”Sulpicia was beyond disgusted with the coven leader for thinking that he could use anyone that way.

Bella growled at the thought.”I’m going to take great pleasure in killing that man.”

“My love you are going to have to get in line because everyone here is going to demand their pound of flesh.”Carlisle was number two on Victoria’s list right after Edward.

“Why did he send Emmett here?”Kate was definitely going to take a turn with Carlisle.The man had not only threatened Bella and her mates’ lives but the Denali’s lives as well.That wasn’t even getting into the other crap he did which were just more justified reasons to make his death drawn out and extremely painful.

“His hope was that because of Rosalie’s trust of Emmett that we would let Emmett go and he would be free to wonder the castle by himself.The plan was for Emmett to steal a phone and call Carlisle so that he could implant a sire command forcing Rosalie to bring Bella to him.If he couldn’t get Bella to come along Emmett was suppose to kill her.”Sulpicia told them.

“That confirms our belief that Carlisle thinks Bella only has a mental shield and that he doesn’t know about Victoria.”Tanya was happy that Carlisle was so uninformed.It gave them more advantages over the man.

“What else did you find out?”Didyme asked.

“I have the identity of some of his allies.Emmett knew quite a few of them.”Sulpicia said.

“Then we will have to start rounding them up.”Athenodora wished she could personally go but knew that her mates wouldn’t let her leave the castle again.That and she didn’t want to be away from her daughter while the newborn was still in danger.

“We need to gather the guard and send the teams out at the same time.That way we can catch them before they go into hiding when they realize we are hunting them.”Didyme knew that once they went after Carlisle’s people the cowards would give up the cause to save themselves.

“I also have the locations of a few of the Cullen’s safe houses.”Sulpicia said.

“You should have led with that.”Kate would have thought that was the most important thing.”When do we leave to get them?”

“We aren’t leaving to get them.”Tanya wasn’t going to let Kate go off with the guard.

“Why not?”Kate asked.

“Because I don’t need you to run head first into danger and get yourself killed.”Tanya told her.

“I wouldn’t get killed.”Kate was offended with Tanya’s lack of faith in her fighting abilities.

“It doesn’t matter.The guard will be in charge of hunting the Cullens.”Didyme was of the same thought as her mate.She wished she could go after them herself but it wouldn’t be safe and she didn’t want to be away from Bella.

“Something we need to plan.Why don’t the Denali show Bella and her mates their new rooms.That way you can take a moment to collect yourselves before we continue.”Sulpicia could see stress that the situation was causing the triad and wanted her daughter and her mates to relax before they went forward with anymore plans.

“I think that’s a good idea.”Victoria could tell Rosalie was close to breaking down and wanted to get someplace private for her to do it without an audience.

Athenodora hugged Bella.”We will see you when we are done.”

“Alright.”Although Bella would miss her mothers she was anxious to get Rosalie alone.She could feel Rosalie’s destress through the bond and was overwhelmed with the need to comfort her.

“Your guards will meet you outside the throne room door.”Sulpicia told her receiving her own hug.

Didyme not to be left out hugged Bella as well.”We will give a proper tour when we finish.”

“That would be nice.”Bella would like to see what the castle had to offer.Especially because they were going to living there for a while.

“Come on Bella I can’t wait to show you what I did to your rooms.”Kate grabbed Bella’s arm and took off out of the room.

“Let her go.”Victoria growled as she rushed after them Rosalie right on her heels.

“Kate!!”Tanya yelled as she raced after them hoping to stop Kate from getting hurt.

“We will see you later your majesties.”Irina said before she followed the others at a much slower pace.

“Well that was eventful.”Athenodora commented as she watched the scene play out.

“I dislike the Denali but I am happy Bella has friends.”Didyme would prefer the coven had gone back to Alaska but having them in castle gave Bella more protection.They just needed to keep Carmen away from Bella.The woman still had illusions of having a mother role in Bella’s life and Didyme and her mates didn’t like it.

“She will need them in the coming days.”Sulpicia said the others offing murmurs of agreement.The queen knew that Emmett’s betrayal was going to effect the triad as Rosalie had such a close relationship with him.Sulpicia had seen all of it play out in Emmett’s mind.Rosalie had confided in Emmett all her secrets and went to him for comfort.The betrayal was something she didn’t know how Rosalie was going to ever get over.Rosalie wanting to be the one to kill him was a good start though.Him dying at her own hands would satisfy her need for revenge and sooth her beast that no doubt wanted to lash out with violence.At least Sulpicia hoped it did.Not only did the queen not want the castle destroyed but Rosalie wasn’t strong enough to fight with the guards.If she tried Bella would get involved and Sulpicia didn’t want to lose any guard members when they had Carlisle to deal with.They would need their numbers to make sure they got everyone aligned with the man.
