Silver Assassin 7

“I want one of you to guard each of the them except Rosalie.Put them in a window seat with a least one row in between them.The big one and his mate are allowed to stay together.”Jane ordered the guards as she ushered them and the Cullens onto the plane.Rosalie had done what she told her and was standing by Jane’s side.Bella was already on the plane incase anyone got the idea to try and overwhelm the guards or the pilots.On one hand Jane hoped they did so she would have a chance to use her gift on them on the other she wanted to get back to the castle quickly.The royals were going to want to know about not only Bella’s new mate bond right away but about the two traitors as well.

“Am I going to sit with the Assassin?”Rosalie asked.

“It will be up to them.”Jane said.

”Can I ask them?”Rosalie figured that if she asked the Assassin directly she would be able to persuade them to sit with her.

“The best way to get to know the Assassin is to let them come to you.If you try and put pressure on them it will end badly.”Jane warned.

“We are mates.Surely that means something.”Rosalie would expect to at least be acknowledged.

”It’s not that easy with the Assassin.”Jane told her.

“What do you mean?”Rosalie asked.

”The Assassin is a complicated person and although it doesn’t seem like it they do feel the mate bond with you.”Bella had shown Jane exactly how she felt and it was the same that Bella felt about Jane.That gave Jane enough proof to tell Rosalie Bella felt the mate bond.

“How do you know?”Rosalie hadn’t seen any sign that the Assassin felt anything let alone the mate bond.

This was really something Jane wanted to explain when they got to the castle.”I just know.Now let’s get on the plane.Once we get to the castle myself and the royals will explain everything you need to know about the Assassin.”

“Alright.”Rosalie hoped even though Jane had told her to wait that the Assassin would at least speak to her on the plane.

“Where are you sitting Assassin?”When Bella motioned to the seat that Jane usually took Jane felt relieved.It meant that Bella wasn’t going to shut herself down completely.Taking her seat she pointed to the one across from her.”Rosalie you sit there.”

Seeing that the Assassin was going to sit with them Rosalie eagerly took her seat.Once everyone was settled she wasn’t quite sure what to talk about.Deciding on small talk to get the conversation going Rosalie spoke.”How long until we get there?”

“About 18 hours.”Jane told her.Turning to Bella she asked.”Do you want to read a book on my phone?”

When the Assassin took off her glove to accept Jane’s phone Rosalie gasped.The Assassin's hand looked mangled.It had various scars that included vampire bite marks and long jagged lines that made it look like someone had hastily put the pieces together to heal it.The pinky finger was completely missing.Noticing the glare Jane was giving her Rosalie immediately apologized.”I’m so sorry.I wasn’t expecting to see so much scarring.”

Jane inhaled a deep breath to calm herself.She had reacted the same way when she had seen Bella’s scarring so of course Rosalie would also be surprised.”It’s alright just try to be more sensitive in the future.”

“Of course.”Rosalie had a feeling that the Assassin’s body was covered in a lot worse scarring then could be seen.Then again the vampire was covered from head to toe by the purple hooded robe that covered their body and head, thier mask that covered their face, the black boots that covered all the way up to at least their knees as seen by the way the Assassin’s robe rode up when they sat down and off course the gloves.Even the mask only had holes for the eyes with the rest of it solid silver.Rosalie figured when the Assassin talked it would be muffled as there was no opening for the mouth.

“Did you find something to read?”What Jane was really asking was if Bella was alright but knew if she asked directly then Bella would get angry at being what she considered managed.Bella held the phone out for Jane to look at.”I’ll download the rest of them when we get home.”

“What are you reading?”Rosalie jumped at the subject change.Anything that would move them away from her reaction to the scarring would be good.

“They are reading the Claimed series by Domina Alexandra.”Jane told her.

“I don’t know those books.”Rosalie said.

“They are about a wolf pack that gets involved with other supernaturals.”Jane explained.

Rosalie looked at the Assassin in surprise.”You are reading a book about a wolf pack?”

“They like to read books on the supernatural because they find them funny.”Jane enjoyed the many discussions she and Bella had about the ways the world depicted the supernatural.She and the kings and queens would read the books to have something to talk with Bella about.Even Aro was known to read some.

“I guess I never thought about it like that.”Rosalie had always thought the way the supernatural was portrayed was too ridiculous to pay attention to but if the Assassin was interested in it then Rosalie would put in the effort.”I’ll have to read the series.”

”The Assassin has their own room in the royal library that they keep their books in.You will be able to borrow anything you want from it.”Jane knew that Bella wouldn’t mind if Rosalie borrowed her books.

”I look forward to it.”Hearing that the Assassin had their own space in the library made Rosalie even more sure that the Assassin was Bella.When Bella was human she loved to read and it would make sense for something that was so important in Bella’s human life to follow over to her vampire life.”What is going to happen when we get to the castle?”

“Carlisle,Japser, their mates and Edward are all going to be taken to the dungeon.The other two will be sent to a comfortable room where they will be held until the kings can talk to them and find out their role in all of this.The fact that they didn’t attack when Carlisle ordered you to and that Emmett spoke of Carlisle forcing you to ignore the mate bond will work in his favor.”Jane said.

“What will happen to me?”Rosalie was relieved that Emmett and Becky would be given the opportunity to plead their cases.

“When we get to the castle I will bring you to meet with Queen Didyme and King Marcus.”Jane told her.

“Why would those two want to see me?”Rosalie would figure out of all the royals Aro would be the one that she would meet first.

“They will explain why when you meet them.”It wasn’t Jane’s place to explain Bella’s relationship with the royals.

“Will you be there with me as well?”Rosalie asked the Assassin.

“It will depends on what happens when we reach the castle.”Jane answered for Bella.

Rosalie was confused by not only the fact that Jane continued to answer for the Assassin but by the way the Assassin was so obviously ignoring her.Jane had said that the Assassin felt the bond but they weren’t acting like it.”Why is it you answer for them?”

“The Assassin doesn’t speak.”Jane told her.

“What you mean they don’t speak?”Rosalie asked.

“I mean that they are mute.They don’t speak out loud.”Jane said.

“Is it because they can’t or do they choose not to?”It was rumored that the Assassin didn’t speak but Rosalie just thought that was because they wanted to cause fear.

“When they were human their vocal cords were damaged.The result of that damage prevents them from speaking.”Jane explained.

“Do I need to learn sign language to speak to them?”Rosalie asked.

”They don’t speak sign language.”Seeing Rosalie’s confusion Jane explained.”Even though we have privacy on the plane I’m not comfortable telling you how they communicate.”

Rosalie was curious but she wasn’t going to push.”What do you mean we have privacy on the plane?”

“The Assassin has a gift that allows them to block others from hearing our conversation.”Jane told her.

”They are a shield.”Rosalie concluded.This was just one more thing that proved that the Assassin was Bella because Bella as a human could shield her thoughts from Edward.

Jane nodded.”They are.”

“They must be incredibly powerful.”Rosalie had never heard of a vampire with the gift to block not only Edward’s gift but Alice’s gift as well.For the Assassin to do both it made the Volturi a lot more dangerous than people gave them credit for.”During the fight I saw Alice frozen in the air.Was that the Assassin as well?”

“Yes, their shield is both physical and mental.”Jane usually didn’t tell anyone about Bella’s gift but Rosalie was Bella’s mate so she would learn about it anyway.

“That’s amazing.”Rosalie was pleased to know that her mate was able to take care of themselves.She was embarrassed that she couldn’t even properly defend herself.Hopefully the Assassin would train her.

“After years of practice the Assassin has honed their gift to the point that they are the most dangerous vampire that ever lived.”Jane wasn’t just bragging either.Bella was extremely deadly.Jane had seen her mate remove a vampires limbs and head without even lifting a finger.Bella wasn’t even looking at the vampire when she did it.

“Would they be willing to train me?”Rosalie asked.

”The Assassin doesn’t train people.I however would be happy to train you.”Jane offered.

Rosalie was disappointed that the Assassin wouldn’t help her but Jane was formidable in her own right and would be a great vampire to learn from.”I would like that.”

“It will have to wait until we deal with the rest of your coven.”Jane said.

“Do you know what will happen to them?”Rosalie wasn’t concerned for the rest of her coven’s wellbeing she just wanted to make sure whatever happened to them was painful.

“I do however it’s up to the royals to tell you.”Jane didn’t want to give Rosalie too much information even if she was Bella’s mate.

Rosalie wanted to question further but knew Jane wouldn’t tell her.Changing the subject to something she overheard she asked.”Did I hear right when you said that Kate was going to visit the Assassin in the castle?”

“While we were waiting for you to show up the Assassin and Kate formed a friendship.The Assassin invited Kate to the castle to spend time in their arcade and to help with the punishment.”Didyme was very happy to learn that Bella made a friend and Jane knew the queen was going to go all out to make sure Kate felt welcome and had a good time.

“The Assassin is friends with Kate?”Rosalie was very surprised to hear that.

“They hit it off due to their mutual love of video games.”Jane had been pleased when Bella asked to play games with Kate.It gave Bella something to focus on other than her anger over the Cullens.

“The Assassin plays video games?”Rosalie couldn’t imagine the dangerous vampire had the patience for such things.

“They have hobbies.Their life isn’t all fighting and killing.”Jane understood where Rosalie was coming from but was insulted on Bella’s behalf.

Rosalie felt ashamed that she gave the Assassin so little credit.Of course they had to have hobbies.Reading was one of them."I’m sorry that was insensitive of me to think that the Assassin didn’t have their own interests outside of guard duties.”

“There is so much more to the Assassin than just what the public knows.”Jane told her.

“Of course.”Rosalie said.

“You’ll learn don’t worry.”Jane looked to Bella when Bella held out the phone to her.”Are you done?”

Rosalie watched in interest as the Assassin gave Jane the phone and stood.”Where are they going?”

“Probably to take over flying the plane.”Jane said as Bella made her way to the cockpit.

“They can fly a plane?”Rosalie asked.

“I said the Assassin has hobbies.”Jane reminded her.

“I can see that.”Rosalie was surprised to learn one of those hobbies was being a pilot.

“One of their favorite things to do is land a plane.”Jane checked her watch.”We only have about an hour left of the flight so it makes sense that they would take over now.”

“I guess it does.”Rosalie agreed.

“I want you to remember when we get off the plane to stay by either my side or the Assassin’s side.I would prefer you be with me but I’m not sure how the Assassin will react to being home.They may take over your security personally.”Jane knew that Bella likely wouldn’t make the choice to have Rosalie with her until they had the Cullens secured.

“I would like to be with them.”Rosalie wanted to be near her mate.

“We won’t know what they have planned until we get there.”Jane told her.

“I guess we have to wait and see.”Rosalie said.Knowing the conversation was over Rosalie took the silence to think over everything that was going on.It was quite obvious to her that the Assassin was Bella.She wasn’t sure when she would finally find out if that was true or not but hoped it would be soon.Rosalie also wanted to know how the Assassin got their scars and what other ones they had.If Rosalie was right then the Assassin had a very violent turning.The obvious vampire bite marks and the missing finger on their hand had Rosalie believing that happened when the Assassin was human.If not then the finger would have probably been found and reattached.Sighing Rosalie leaned her head back and closed her eyes.She knew her life was going to change when she sent Tanya those messages but she would have never thought that it would have ended up like it had.
