“Alright we got three rooms.Garrett you are with Emmett, Kate you are rooming with Rosalie and Alice and Bella is with me and Irina.”Tanya explained as she handed over the hotel room keys.It was somewhat silly to get so many room but Bella still didn’t know they were vampires so they had to pretend they would need the extra beds.Splitting Emmett and Alice up was just a formality because it wouldn’t look good to give the two a private room.They had to at least give the impression to Bella that they wouldn’t put up with any funny business on their watch.

“Why can’t Bella and I get our own room?”Rosalie wanted a chance to room with her mate.

“Because you are both underage and need an adult with you so you don’t cause trouble.”Irina was happy they had an excuse to keep Rosalie and Bella apart and to have Bella stay in her and Tanya’s room.

“I could room with Rosalie and Alice.That would give you and Tanya some privacy.”Bella would prefer to stay with Rosalie as she was the one Bella was most comfortable with.

“That’s fine with me.”Kate would love the chance to hang out with Bella.Especially without her sisters around.

“No,Bella will be staying with me and Tanya.”Irina wasn’t going to budge on that.

“Then maybe I could room with the three of you.I mean all the rooms have two beds so I would have to share anyway.I might as well share with Bella.”Rosalie thought that was the perfect compromise.

“I would be alright with that.”Bella said.

Irina held back a growl.”I think it would be better for Bella to have her own bed.”

“Rosalie wouldn’t be a bother.”Plus Bella wasn’t comfortable being around Irina and Tanya by herself.They may be Sasha’s daughters but she didn’t know them that well.

Picking up on Bella’s discomfort Tanya cut Irina off before she could object further.”It’s settled Rosalie with room with us.”

“Cool now we can get started on our mission.”Kate said as she made her way to the elevators with the group.

“What is it that you need to do first?”Tanya asked.

“Ralph says we need to break into his house first.That’s where we will get the stuff we need to get into the safe deposit box.” Bella explained.

“Will his wife be at home?”Emmett asked.

“This is Ralph’s family home.His wife and him live in California.Plus it wouldn’t matter if they shared this home because the wife is still being detained by the FBI.”Bella told them.

Tanya sighed.“I forgot you did that.”

“Is she going to be ok?”Rosalie knew the woman murdered Ralph but didn’t want her to get in trouble for something she didn’t do.

“She’s fine.”Bella assured them.”When I put in her information on the no fly list I simply stated that she was a wanted art thief who specialized in dealing with works stolen by the Nazis in ww2.From what Ralph witnessed the authorities don’t believe her tales of innocents.I doubt she will be available to be tried for Ralph’s murder for years.”

“Jesus.”Kate was definitely going to have Bella teach her how to hack the government.She would just have to find a way to make sure Tanya didn’t find out.

“It’s not happening Kate.”Tanya easily picked up Kate’s train thought.It did disturb the coven leader that Bella was able to do so much damage from behind a keyboard.She would have to monitor Bella’s future internet access to make sure she wasn’t doing something that would lead back to the human.The last thing any of them needed was Bella getting in trouble with the alphabet governmental agencies.

“Lame.”Kate grumbled.She wasn’t deterred though.Tanya and Irina couldn’t be around Bella all the time so Kate would just have to sneak away to see Bella without them knowing.

Getting off the elevator Irina led the group to her room.”We will work out of our room for now.”

“Good idea.”Alice said as she followed the others into the suit which had two bedrooms a formal dinning table and full living room.Alice doubted that the other two rooms were as nice as this one.Not that she cared.Bella needed the extra comforts more than they did.

“I’ll take your bag to our room.”Rosalie told Bella feeling extra smug that not only would she be sharing a bed with Bella but they had their own private room.The others would be able to hear everything that went on in the room but it was nice to at least have the illusion of privacy.

Emmett clapped his hands together in excitement.”Alright now that we are settled how do we catch the bad guys?”

“As I said first we need to break into Ralph’s house.”Bella told them.

“How are we going to do that?”Garrett asked.

“I’m going to pick the lock.Ralph gave me the security codes so we will be able turn off the triggered alarm.”Bella explained.

“You can do that?”Kate’s niece was turning out a lot cooler than Kate originally thought.Now she was planning on how she could get Bella to teach her the skill without Tanya knowing.

Bella nodded.”One of the ghosts I helped was a thief in his human life.He taught me how so that I could help him get back some things his former partner stole from him so I could return them to their rightful owners.He was of the thought if I did this for him it would make those in charge give him a better afterlife.”

“Ok let get me get this straight.You know how to pick locks because a ghost who was a thief in his human life wanted you to steal from another criminal and return the stolen goods to their owners so that he could get into heaven?”Tanya wanted to make sure she understood what Bella was saying as this wasn’t one of the cases that the Cullens had posted on their wall.

“Well I can’t confirm that heaven is a real place just that he said that he needed all the help he could get before he passed on.”Bella told them.

“Let’s forget about the heaven aspect and get back to the fact that you stole from a dangerous criminal.How old were you when you did this?”Irina wasn’t happy to hear her daughter had been put in such danger.

“I was 14.”Bella said.

“Jesus!!”Rosalie was happy that they had made contact with Bella when they did because it seemed that Bella needed all the help she could get.”What did you have to do?”

“Well I was living in Phoenix at the time.Brad was the guy’s name and he had been on the run from the cops when he tried to jump from the roof of a building to a roof of the neighboring building but missed falling to his death.”Bella began only to be cut off by Emmett.

“Fuck!!Did you have to see his body?”Emmett asked.

Bella shook her head.”Not this time.Anyway after he died he somehow found about me and came for my help.I told him to get lost and leave me alone but he pestered me for three days straight not letting me sleep.When I finally gave in he had me go to his safe house where he told me how to pick the lock and bypass the security.I found some of the stuff to give to his victims but most of it was taken by his partner.He staked out where the other guy was and when he was gone I broke into that guy’s safe house where Brad taught me how to break into all his safes and locked doors.When I got all the stuff he taught me how to hack into the security system to erase any evidence that I had been there.”

“And you were 14 when you did this?”When Bella nodded Irina was convinced she felt the beginning of a headache coming on.

“Brad let me keep most of the cash I found at his safe house.With some of it I bought a nice computer that Brad helped me set it up and taught me how to be a proper hacker.He stayed with me for about two weeks after I finished returning the stuff for him to make sure I had learned all he could teach me.I haven’t seen again.”Bella had hoped that Brad was given a break and got some kind of relief in the after life.The skills he taught her had saved her life numerous times.

“So that’s how you learned how to use a computer.”Rosalie had wondered how Bella had gotten so good at it without being caught.

“Brad wasn’t the only one who helped me learn.He knew how to tackle security systems mostly.It was a woman named Janet that taught me how to hack websites.”Bella told them.

“Was she a criminal as well?”Tanya asked.

“No, she worked for the CIA.Her specialty was IT.When I helped her I had to hack into her old account because once she died her access was deleted.”Bella said.

“A dead CIA agent taught you to hack government websites for her?”Bella nodded making Alice think of another question.”What did you help her with?”

“Well it’s kind of a secret.I promised her I wouldn’t tell anybody.”Bella wasn’t that sure it would be smart to tell anybody what she had done for Janet.

“Did it have to do with government secrets?!!!”Kate excitedly asked.

“Not the US government but it still wouldn’t be good if the information was leaked.”Bella told them.

“That is so cool!!”Emmett was beyond happy that Bella was a part of their lives.He was happy his prediction that she would bring a lot of fun and excitement to the family was proven right.

“Let’s get back on topic.”Tanya would ask Bella later what kind of government secrets she got herself entangled in.She needed to make sure nothing could be traced back to her daughter.”What do you need to break into Ralph’s house?”

“I have Brad’s kit and the outfit I usually wear for this kind thing packed in my bag.”Bella told them.

“You have a professional thief’s personal kit with you?”Garrett asked.

“Of course.I knew we would have to not only break into Ralph’s house but the safe in his basement as well.”Bella said.

“I am so going with you to Ralph’s house.”Kate was not going to be left behind for this one.She had never broken into a safe before without using her strength and she didn’t want to miss the chance to learn from Bella how to do it.

“Me to.”Emmett was of the same thought as Kate.There was no way he was going to miss learning how to break into a safe.

“Alright before everyone gets to excited we should ask Bella what the plan is.”Tanya knew the others were excited but didn’t think it was a good idea for all of them to go to Ralph’s house.

“There is a bunch of stuff we are going to need to get out of Ralph’s house.He gave a me a list of stuff he wants sent to various people that he didn’t officially leave to them in his will.”Bella was somewhat annoyed they would have to send everything but knew Ralph would throw a fit if she didn’t.”Ralph wants me to personally delivery everything but I told him no so we will be sending everything in the mail.”

“Getting things packaged and sent is not hard to do.What else do you need to do at the house?”Tanya would just send someone to get all the packaging material after they saw what needed to be sent.

“I’m getting a bunch of money and gold and silver bars out of the safe so I will need to find a place to sell the gold and silver and then deposit the money in my bank account.”Bella shrugged at the incredulous looks she was getting.”Ralph said I could have it.It’s not like he needs it for anything.”

Kate laughed.”That is so great!!”

“We will help you with that as well.”Irina wasn’t that happy about Bella taking money from a dead man but if the ghost didn’t care then the least Irina could do is make sure Bella went through legal means to claim it.

“Thanks.”Bella was happy that Irina was going to help because as minor Bella wouldn’t be able to sell the gold and silver.She needed an adult to do it for her.

“How many people do want to come with you?”Tanya would speak to Irina later about Bella accepting money from the ghost.The coven leader wasn’t that comfortable with it but wouldn’t object until she spoke to her mate.

“With the van and the room we will need to put things and the house is far enough away from neighbors that we won’t be caught.”Bella thought it through for a minute.”How about myself and 3 others.”

“I’m going.”Kate and Emmett said at the same time.

“I would like to go.”Rosalie didn’t want to be away from her mate.

Tanya sighed knowing that this would be the first of many fights the group was going to have about who got to participate in each mission.”It will be myself, Irina and Kate going this time.”

“Yes!!”Kate cheered.

“Why can’t I go?”Emmett asked.

“Kate knows better self defense than you do.”Tanya told him.

“I’m going on the next mission then.”Emmett wasn’t going to be left behind again.

“It’s settled now Bella get your stuff so we can get this over with.”Irina was pleased that Tanya picked Kate to go with them.They were going into an unknown situation to do something illegal and Irina felt a lot better having someone she knew she could count on covering not only her but her mate and daughter as well.Not that Irina was going to rely on just Kate to protect them.As Bella’s mother Irina was going to be sticking close to girl to make sure nothing bad happened and if it did Irina would just grab Bella and run her as far away from the danger as she could.
