Sight Unseen 24

“Rosalie change seats with me.”Irina said to Rosalie from her first class seat across the aisle on the airplane she and the rest of the group traveling with Bella were flying on.Once they made it to the airport they had enough time for Bella to eat and then catch their flight.Irina and the others had noticed Bella’s exhaustion and Irina was not surprised that Bella fell asleep as soon as the plane was in the sky.Although Irina was happy her daughter was getting some rest she wasn’t pleased with the fact that Bella was laying mostly on top of Rosalie who had put the arm rest up and had her arm around Bella cuddling her.

“No Bella wanted to sit next to me.”Rosalie was more than pleased that Bella was comfortable enough with her that she not only fell asleep but snuggled into Rosalie when she wrapped her arm around the human.

“Change seats with me right now!”Irina demanded keeping her voice stern but quiet as to not wake up Bella.

“I’m not changing seats with you.If Bella wanted to sit with you she would have.”Rosalie not only wasn’t changing seats with Irina but she wasn’t going to be moving at all.She didn’t want to wake Bella up and end their snuggling.

Before Irina could go off on Rosalie Tanya interfered.”My love Bella is sleeping.If you were to change seats it would wake her up and we all know she needs her rest.”

“She would just go back to sleep after I changed seats.”Irina said.

“Regardless we shouldn’t chance it.”Tanya knew that Irina wanted to act on the parental bond but the fact of the matter was Bella didn’t feel it.It hurt Tanya as well but she wasn’t going to be forceful with Bella as she knew that it would push the girl away.Unfortunately Irina was stubbornly ignoring that fact.Tanya just hoped that Bella was understanding and didn’t take offense to Irina’s affections.

“Did I hear her say that Ralph kept her up most of the night?”Kate asked from her seat behind Irina.She was sitting next to Garret with Alice and Emmett sharing the seats across the aisle from them.

“She said he was bugging her about all the things he wanted her to do for him when we got to his hometown.”Rosalie told them.

“Should we worry about what those things are?I mean from what we have been told and witnessed it doesn’t seem this Ralph guy is that good of a person.”Emmett said.

“I personally don’t trust him.He got Bella involved in something very dangerous.”Irina and the others were keeping their voices down so that the humans in first class couldn’t hear them.

“That’s true.Having Bella investigate a hitman is not something a teenager should be involved with.”Alice wished that she had a vision of what they were going to do so that they could take care of it for Bella but it wasn’t happening.No matter how hard she tried.

“It shouldn’t be something anyone is involved with.”Tanya wasn’t that happy they had been pulled into this situation but she wouldn’t leave Bella alone to deal with it herself.

“What is the plan when we get there?”Emmett asked.

“We first pick up the van I rented, then we are going to do an early check in at the hotel.From there Bella will be the one to tell us what to do.She hasn’t really told any of us what she needs to do.”Tanya turned her attention to Rosalie.”She hasn’t mentioned anything to you has she?”

“No, we didn’t talk about Ralph when we were alone.I know the same information about him as you all do.”Rosalie told her.

“What did you talk about when you drove her home?”Irina had wanted to ask before but hadn’t gotten the chance.

“It’s none of your business what I talked about with my mate.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell Irina anything.The vampire may have a parental bond with Bella but Rosalie was Bella’s mate.Plus Rosalie would never break Bella’s trust and speak to others what they spoke about in private.

“That’s perfectly reasonable.It isn’t like I tell anyone what we speak about Rina.”Tanya said.

Irina huffed.”It would just be helpful to know more about my daughter.”

“We will have many opportunities on this trip to talk to Bella.”Tanya assured her.

“True we are the chaperones.That means that Bella will need to be with us at all times so we can make sure she doesn’t get into trouble.”Irina was pleased that she had a reason to be around Bella.

“I’m a chaperone to.”Kate reminded her.”Garret and I can watch her as well.”

“I think we should first see what needs to be done before we start assigning jobs to everyone.”Tanya interjected stopping any fighting from continuing.

“I hope I get to be involved in the bank robbery.”Emmett had been making plans that included Bella calling up some ghost to spook the bank employees.

“I’m not missing the chance to break into a bank.”Kate wasn’t going to left behind for that mission.It might be her only chance to ever pull a bank job and she wasn’t going to miss out.

“We might not have to rob the bank.Bella may have a way for us to get access to the safe deposit box without doing anything illegal.”At least Tanya hoped they weren’t going to do anything illegal.From what she was told Bella regularly broke the law to help ghosts and Tanya wanted to be there to get her out trouble if she needed to.

“What other stuff do you think we are going to do?”Garret asked.Kate had briefed him on everything that was going on with the Ralph case and the adventurer in him was excited to be able to help solve a murder.

“Well based on what Bella said Ralph has a bunch of different things he wants her to do for him.I personally think most of them are going to be illegal but there may be a couple of things that won’t be that bad.”Rosalie told them.

“Rose.”Bella mumbled as she snuggled closer to the body she was laying against.

Rosalie smiled brightly at the nickname.”I think she’s waking up.”

“Grrr.”Bella grumbled as she stretched out her her arms without opening her eyes.She was very comfortable and didn’t want to move.It was as she felt a hand running through her hair that she stilled.Opening her eyes she jolted upright.”Oh shit.Rosalie I’m so sorry.I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.”

“It’s alright Bella.You were tired.”Rosalie really wanted to say you can fall asleep on me anytime or you could snuggle with me anytime but she could see that Bella was embarrassed.

“No it isn’t.I bet you were super uncomfortable with me taking over not only your space but your body.”Bella blushed when the she realized how she phrased her sentence.

“Seriously Bella it isn’t a big deal.I’m just glad you got some sleep.”Rosalie wished Bella had slept longer but she would savor the memory of how Bella’s body felt against her.

Bella wanted to object more but Rosalie seemed sincere.The fact that Bella had so easily sought Rosalie out in her sleep was something she would ponder over later.”How long left of the flight?”

“About two hours.”Irina told her.She wanted to coo over how cute Bella looked with her sleep mussed hair and the creases on her face from leaning on Rosalie.

“Do you want anything to eat or drink?We can call a stewardess for you.”Tanya offered.

“I need to go to the bathroom but can you have her bring something caffeinated.”Bella was going to need the caffeine to get through the day.

“Of course Bella.”Irina happily pushed the button to call the stewardess.It may be a little thing but to Irina getting Bella a drink was a way for her to provide for her daughter.

“How can I help you?”The stewardess asked when she came to Irina’s seat.

“My daughter would like a beverage that contains caffeine.”Irina said.

“We have soda, coffee or tea.”The woman told her.

“A soda would be fine.”Irina didn’t think a teenager should be drinking coffee as she had read it would stunt their growth.

By the time Bella made it back to her seat a soda with a cup of ice was there waiting for her.”Thank you.”

“It’s no problem.If you want anything else let me know.No matter what it is.”Irina would be more than happy for Bella to come to her for things she needed.Or even things she wanted.Irina would take any opportunity to spoil Bella.

Noticing most of the attention of the group was on her Bela shifted uncomfortably in her seat.”I think I’m going to watch a movie for the rest of the flight.”

“Can I watch with you?”Rosalie asked.

“Sure that would be fine.”Bella wouldn’t mind watching a movie with Rosalie.She was really beginning to like the girl and felt like Rosalie could be a good friend if she allowed it.

“Great, you pick."Rosalie didn’t even try to hide her bright smile.It may not be as good as being alone with her mate but at least they were doing something together.

“What movie are you going to watch?We will watch it as well.”Kate wanted a chance to bond with her niece and if they watched the same movie then she would have something to talk to Bella about.

“Let’s watch Cocaine Bear.”Bella had seen the preview and thought it looked good.

“What is Cocaine Bear?”Irina wasn’t sure that was an appropriate movie for her daughter to watch.

“It’s a movie based on a true story of a bear that gets into a bunch of cocaine that accidentally gets dropped in the forest where it lives.The bear goes absolutely insane and kills a bunch of people in the park.”Bella explained.

“That sounds rad.We are going to watch that too.”Emmett said.

“We are definitely watching it.”Kate was happy Bella picked out something Kate herself would watch.

“I suppose we will watch as well.”Tanya didn’t want to admit it out loud but the movie sounded amazing.

“Yes we will.”Irina wasn’t impressed with Bella’s choice but she was completely out numbered so the least she could do is watch the movie to see what it was like.

“Can we share headphones.I forgot mine.”Rosalie hadn’t even thought to bring headphones because she figured she would be spending her time talking to Bella.

“I have a few extra pairs.”Alice had foreseen the others needed them to keep up appearance.

“The rest of us will need them as well.”Tanya was feeling silly for forgetting something as simple as headphones.She actually didn’t even own a pair.

“I don’t have enough for everyone so Rosalie will have to share with Bella.”Alice did indeed have enough but wanted to give Rosalie the chance to get closer to Bella.

“That’s fine.”Bella handed Rosalie one of her ear buds and started the movie.Since they were sharing earphones Bella moved over so Rosalie could see the screen.

Rosalie happily snuggled into Bella to watch the movie.She would have to thank Alice later because she knew without a doubt the seer had purposely not given her head phones.Ignoring the glare Irina sent her way Rosalie pulled her attention to the movie.It sounded interesting and since Bella wanted to watch it Rosalie would pay attention.That way she would have something to talk to her mate about.Especially since the rest of the group was watching it.Rosalie definitely didn’t want to be left out.
