“Well it looks like you are getting your wish to see inside a pyramid.”Isabella told Rose as both of them and Rosalie watched a female vampire move a large stone to the side and go through a doorway pulling the stone back behind her.They had been tracking the vampire once they came upon her scent in what they figured was her safe house that she used when the sun was out.The trail led them to a series of pyramids and from the scent of numerous vampires Isabella knew that this was a meeting place.

“This is going to be so great!!”Rose cheered.”Not only are we going inside a pyramid but we are going to get to crack some heads.”

“I’m little worried about your love of hurting people.”Rosalie said.

Rose threw her arm over Rosalie’s shoulder.”Oh, Rosalie when are you going to embrace your inner vampire and let go of all those pesky morals?These are bad people who want to kill your coven and kidnap your sister to do who knows what with her.”

“I know it’s just hard to get past Carlisle’s teaching of violence is wrong.”Rosalie hated that she had a hang up over hurting people.It was something she knew she needed to get over but living with Carlisle constantly telling them to use their words and talk things out was difficult to overcome.

“Every time you think it’s wrong to use violence think about not only what was done to you but of what Edward would do to Bella if he got his hands on her.”Isabella told her.

Rosalie flinched thinking about it.”I see what you mean.Edward would do horrible things to Bella.”

“The Volturi may be horrible rulers but from the stories we were told before leaving about the Romanians I would rather them not to be in charge.I can almost guarantee that violence would be the least of your worries if the Volturi were defeated.”Rose had listened to the many stories the others told them about the rulers while they were waiting for a lead.Neither of the two options were that great but the Volturi seemed like the lesser of two evil.

“That being said you need to start looking at these vampires as vampires.”Isabella said.

Rosalie was confused.”I know they are vampires.”

“No you don’t, you see them as people.People can be reasoned with.They can be taught the error of their ways.Vampires cannot.When a vampire commits to a cause they are all in.It’s the way our minds work.I originally came here to bring Tanya and Bella together.Along the way I met you and the others.The only reason I even protected the others was because of my commitment to you, Tanya and Bella.That will never change.I have met horribly cruel versions of each of you but I am dedicated to keeping you safe.I have killed a version of most the people you call family and friends.It’s how I’m wired.It’s not about right or wrong it’s about dedication.”Isabella wasn’t surprised by the look of horror on Rosalie’s face.

“You have killed all of us before?”Rosalie hadn’t thought that Isabella would go against any of them.

Isabella nodded.”No one wants to hear about those dimensions.They just want to hear about the happy times when we band together and beat the bad guy.Some times each of you are the bad guy.Even if you aren’t doing bad things.Like I said I’m vampire I’m ruled by my instincts.My bonds are strong and I won’t go against them.So in the dimension where Tanya was a ruthless dictator who was hell bent on ruling over humans was being threatened by her enemies I protected her.”Isabella said.

“Jesus.”Rosalie wasn’t sure what to think.In her mind Isabella had a noble mission.Rosalie had seen her friend as selfless and willing to put herself at risk to save others.

“I know it’s a lot to wrap your head around but you really need to understand that vampires are not people.They are ruled by their beasts.It’s a noble idea that you can work everything out by sitting down and having a chat but this isn’t the time to do that.The vampires we are after have chosen a side.A side that they know the history of.Would you actually trust someone who thinks the Romanians are the best rulers we can have to change to your side?I sure as hell wouldn’t.”Rose hoped Rosalie would get with the program soon because if not she would be killed.

Rosalie knew they were right and that left a bitter taste in her mouth.”It is a lot to wrap my head around but I understand.When I was turned I killed the men who hurt me.I enjoyed it.I enjoyed the torture,the begging, the pleading and knowing that it was up to me if they were going to live or die.I have wanted to kill Edward for years.What he is doing now isn’t his only transgression.Carlisle wouldn’t hear of it though.If he had then we wouldn’t be dealing with this.You would be home with your mate and Rose wouldn’t be in danger of being stuck here.If I had acted on my vampire instincts like Edward has been this entire time we would be safe.”

“Exactly, even now Carlisle refuses to kill Edward.He feels like if he gets the chance to talk to the idiot that he can set him straight.We all know that won’t change Edward’s mind.I have warned Carlisle and told him of my experiences but he is to stuck in his ways to see that his own family that he claims to love beyond anything is in mortal danger because his beast clings to his so called son.”Isabella knew that by the end this Carlisle would probably lose his life.The man wouldn’t stand for Edward being killed and would get in the way.

“That means you have to be prepared to make the hard choices.Carlisle thinks taking a life is wrong.If you had killed Edward years ago like you wanted to then Bella wouldn’t have been in danger from that nomad.She would have found Tanya eventually as Isabella would have visited to make it happen but Bella wouldn’t have been put in so much danger of having to deal with being Edward’s singer.You want to be a leader well being a leader is making the choices that aren’t best for you but best for the coven.”Rosalie said.

“That’s why Carlisle is such a horrible coven leader.He is so narrow sighted in his want to live as a human that he hasn’t accepted the fact that he is not.Think about your skill level when I got here.If you had to go up against that newborn army you all would be dead.”Isabella knew that they wouldn’t have lasted past a handful of those newborns.

Rosalie sighed taking in everything Rose and Isabella was saying.A lot of hard truths had just been thrown at her and she would have to make some decisions.It was time to hang up her high heels and put on some combat boots because she was about to be knee deep in some dangerous shit.”I get it.Act first,ask questions later.”

“Exactly and listen to orders when you aren’t in charge.I learned that the hard way.”Rose joked trying to lighten the mood.

“That’s true in the beginning of us working together I lost numerous limbs trying to get her out of danger.”Isabella smiled thinking about those early days of her friendship with Rose.”Now lets get going.The sooner we interrogate these idiots the sooner we break into the Volturi castle, sneak past the most dangerous vampires alive and kidnap the most important vampire to the Volturi.

“Is it wrong to be kind of excited about this?”Rosalie asked.Seeing the shrug from Isabella and the bright smile on Rose’s face Rosalie figured it was alright.Following the pair Rosalie focused on the task at hand.She knew Emmett was going to be pissed when he found out what she had been doing but she didn’t care.Next time they had a moment alone she was going to have the same talk that Isabella and Rose had with her with Emmett.It was time for him and everyone else to grow up.Just because Bella was going to be changed into a vampire didn’t mean she would be able to protect herself a good as Isabella did.That meant that the family would need to protect her because Rosalie wasn’t naive enough to think that vampires would stop coming after Bella when they defeated Edward.That meant that they would need to be ready to take on any threat and Rosalie wanted to be standing with the decision makers when the time came to restructure the covens.
