“Man it looks like you brought a whole apartment with you.”Emmett said as he walked into the training room and spotted Bella sitting on a couch that was part of a living room set which included a mini fridge.Emmett was surprised that the royals had brought all the furniture in the room for Bella but then again they where already known for going overboard when Bella was concerned.He took a seat on one of the arm chairs while the rest of the group that included the Denali, Rosalie, Alice and Jasper took seats on other pieces of furniture.The only ones who were missing were Carmen and Eleazar as they weren’t interested in watching the fighting.

“My mother wanted to make sure I was comfortable while watching.”Bella told him from her spot in the middle of the couch wrapped up in the blanket that Athenodora forced her to use.Although she was almost over her sickness Bella still wasn’t a hundred percent and the queen and Caius didn’t want her to catch a chill.

“How are you feeling?”Tanya asked as she took a seat next to Bella and kissed her mate on the cheek.

“Better.The bath was nice and I’m happy for the change in scenery.”Bella said.

Rosalie took the seat on the other side of Bella.“I’m glad to hear that.We were all very worried about you.”

“It was just the flu.”Bella grumbled.

Alice gave Bella a hug before taking a seat on the love seat next to Jasper.“Yes, well in most of our time having the flu led to death.”

“That’s true.I mean wasn’t Edward dying of the Spanish flu when Carlisle found him.”Irina said.

“He’s going to wish it had taken him when Queen Athenodora and King Caius are done with him.”Kate had seen the looks on the king and queen’s faces and it looked like Edward was going to have a day of intense pain.

“Where is Edward?”Jasper asked.

“He should be here any minute.”Athenodora told him as she made her way over to her daughter.She knew that Bella would be perfectly safe from Edward but she still worried that her daughter felt something for the man child and would choose him over her family.

“Let go of me and I will make your deaths quick.”The group heard Edward screaming before they saw him being pulled into the room by a group of guards.

“Captivity has not been kind to that dumbass.”Kate said as she looked at Edward’s disheveled appearance.His clothes were torn and filthy, his hair a rat’s nest on top of his head and his nose looked like it had been removed from his face and put back on crooked.

“Bella?Bella my love.”Edward started to struggle harder upon seeing Bella.”Bella don’t worry I’m here now.”

Tanya shot up from her seat and made a move towards Edward only to be held back by Athenodora.”Let go of me.”

“You will get your turn to deal with him after myself and the king do.”Athenodora promised.Although this was supposed to be a training exercise with the guard it was mostly going to be the royals and Bella’s mates taking out their anger on the boy.

“If I may my Queen would you be opposed to some of the rest of us being able to have our turn?”Jasper asked.Ever since he found out what had happened to his wife’s best friend he had been wanting to punish his former coven mate for the trouble he got all of them into.If it weren’t for Bella’s love of Alice all of the Cullens would have been killed.For that reason alone Jasper was pissed.Add on to the fact that Edward had hurt Bella so badly pushed his anger into a rage.

“Yeah I think all of us would like a chance at the asshat.”Emmett looked at his wife who was nodding in agreement.

Athenodora had predicted that Bella’s friend would ask and had already set it up with her own mate.”It was discussed and after myself and the king get our chance then Bella’s mates will get the opportunity.After they are done you all are more than welcome to take your pound of flesh.We aren’t going to kill him any time soon so if you don’t get your chance today you can get it another day.”

“That’s fine.I think it would be more fun fighting him when he isn’t half dead.”Kate figured if Edward was at full strength he would feel the pain more intensely because he hadn’t had a chance to get used to the torture.

”Let go of me.I will not be forced away from my mate!!”Edward screeched as he was pulled to the middle of the training grounds struggling all the way.

“Now he’s done it.”Irina mumbled as they all watched Edward drop to the ground screaming in pain.

“Jane that’s enough.”Caius told the guard as she entered the room her entire focus on Edward as he thrashed around on the ground in pain.

“Sorry your majesty.”Jane cut off her gift and made her way over to Bella.Leaning down she gave Bella a hug and a kiss on the cheek.”How are you feeling?”

“I’m fine.Mom has everything I need here so I’m comfortable.”Bella motioned to the electric heater that faced the couch.”Father ordered heaters for the castle so I won’t catch a chill.”

“That’s good.Let me know if you need anything.”Jane said.

Athenodora held back a growl.She understood Bella’s mates need to fulfill her needs but as Bella’s mother it was Athenodora’s job to provide for her daughter.”She will fine.Now if you will excuse me my mate and I have an appointment with the mind reader.”

“Can you go slow so I can see everything?”Bella asked.

“We will try sweetheart.”Athenodora leaned down and kissed Bella’s forehead and made her way over to her mate.

“How is Bella?”Caius hadn’t been paying attention to Bella’s conversations as he was coordinating with the guards.

“She has requested the we go slow so she can see what is going on.”Athenodora told him.

Caius smiled brightly.”She was made to be our child.”

“That she was.”Athenodora agreed.

“Bella is not your daughter.”Edward screamed at the royals.He had finally gotten his bearings and was ready to prove himself as worthy enough to be Bella’s mate.

Athenodora rushed forward and grabbed the boy by the neck and lifted him in the air.”Bella is not only our daughter but she is the Volturi heir.”

“She is not yours.She is mine.”Edward chocked out around the pressure on his neck.

Bella put her hand on Tanya’s arm to hold her back when she heard her growl.”I’m not his.I would never pick him.I’m yours and Jane’s.”

“What are you talking about?”Edward asked hearing Bella’s words.Searching through Tanya’s mind he growled and struggled harder.”You harlot!!You will not claim my mate.”

“Oh shit.”Kate exclaimed with glee as Tanya rushed Edward.

“Bella is not your mate.”Blind in her rage Tanya wrenched Edward out of the queen’s hand and threw him on the ground.She got in a few good hits before she was pulled off of him.

“Calm yourself or you will be removed from here.”Athenodora warned as she pulled the blond vampire off the mind reader.

Tanya took deep unnecessary breaths to get herself under control.She hung her head in shame for her impulsiveness.”My apologies my queen.The bond is still new and it’s hard to hear someone else trying to claim my mate.”

“I understand that but it is not your turn.You can stay if you don’t interfere any further.”Athenodora told her.

“Thank you.”Tanya gave one last glare to Edward and made her way back to sit with Bella.She smiled gratefully at her mate when Bella shifted to sit on her lap.

“Now that that is out of the way let’s get back to the task at hand.”Caius said.

“Yes, Edward you have been found guilty of the crimes you were charged with and now we are here to begin your punishments.”Athenodora smirk when the boy jumped up and got into a fighting position.

“If I best you I expect that Bella and myself be let go.”Edward figured when he proved he was a better fighter than the warrior queen he would get a boon.

“You know I like the sound of that.You and me fight.If you win you may leave.If I win I will keep you alive for at least a month where I will personally everyday come to your cell and beat you in front of your maker.”Athenodora could already see the despair on Carlisle and his mate’s faces as they watched their golden boy beaten daily.

“You won’t win.”Edward scoffed at the very idea of it.No woman could best him.

“We shall see.”Athenodora waved her hand for them to begin.

“This is going to be so good.”Emmett was beyond excited to not only see Edward pummeled but to see the queen fight.It was a once in a lifetime experience and Emmett made a mental note to thank Bella later for inviting them to watch.

“I hope I will be able to see everything.”Bella knew her mother would go slow but as Bella saw Edward rush her mother faster than her eyes could follow she held out little hope.

“You’ll have to do better than that boy.”Athenodora taunted Edward as she dogged his arms from trying to wrap around her.Using his momentum she pushed him to the ground and stomped his chest hard enough to leave a cracked dent there.Seeming to not understand how out matched he was Edward tried to grab the queen’s leg but was instead rewarded with a kick to head so powerful it partially came off his neck.

“Holy shit did you see that?”Kate asked.She had never seen a vampire kick someone hard enough for their head to come off.She wondered if she could convince Bella to have her mother train a few of them.Maybe Kate could give her the excuse that Tanya needed to train to be able to protect Bella.

“Do you give up?”Athenodora knew it wouldn’t be that easy but wanted to make the boy more angry.

Edward growled the best he could as he spread his own venom over his neck to reattach his head.”You may have a gotten shot in but you won’t best me.”

“My dear finish him quickly so we can begin his real punishment.”Caius was bored with watching his wife toy with Edward.He wanted his chance at the boy and it wouldn’t happen until Athenodora won this so called fight.He did appreciate the queen’s suggestion of daily beatings.Caius was actually mad at himself for not thinking of the idea first.

“As you wish my love.”Athenodora rushed Edward and ripped his head ending the fight.

“That was anti-climatic.”Alice said as they watched the queen holding Edward’s head in her hands.

“That was just the warm up.”Bella told them.She had no doubt that her parents had much more in store for Edward.Something very painful.Getting herself more comfortable Bella leaned back against Tanya and sighed happily.She may not have felt completely better and she was in a lot of pain but she honestly couldn’t imagine being happier than she was in that moment.She had her mates, her parents, her friends and new family members to get know.Life wasn’t perfect but the future was looking pretty good.
