“I think her eye change coincides with her gift.”Eleazar told the group of vampires gathered in Queen Athenodora’s private room.The group consisted of the three queens, the entire Denali coven and Victoria, Rosalie and Bella.Bella was eating a snack that Sulpicia had demanded be made by her.From the slight grimace that crossed Bella’s face when she was presented with the grilled cheese sandwich it wasn’t a successful attempt at making human food.Even so Bella was dutifully eating not making any complaints.

“How so?”Victoria asked.

“By the fact that once Bella’s headache went away her eyes changed back to what they were before she used her gift then I believe that in the future they will change every time Bella’s gift is activated.”Eleazar explained.

“They didn’t change back to their natural brown though and it doesn’t explain the streak of white hair.”Rosalie said. Bella’s eyes were still silver white with the black pupil and black ring around where an iris should have been.The white streak of hair was still visible as well.

“Unfortunately I believe those are permanent changes. Although when she is turned they might change further.”Eleazar wasn’t sure what Bella’s eyes were going to look like when she was a vampire.

“Well I for one hope they don’t change. They make you look freaky and I bet they will scare tons of people when you look at them.”Kate couldn’t wait until Bella was a vampire because with her eyes and her gift she was going to intimidate a lot of people.Kate was already imagining all the fun she and Bella could have because of it.

“Bella doesn’t look freaky.She looks unique.”Didyme was offended that anyone would consider her daughter looked anything but perfect.

“Anyway, have you heard anything else about the captive?”Tanya wanted to get the attention off of Kate because even though they were being nice the royals were still their monarchs and weren’t known for putting up with being insulted.

“Based on the information they were able to get from him the guards have caught an additional 4 vampires working as sentries for Carlisle.”Athenodora told them.

“I know you said he was scared but to so easily give up that important of information is surprising.”Victoria said.

“Whatever Bella did to the man caused him severe psychological damage.He hasn’t stopped talking since he woke up. As of now the guards are just trying to sift through his ramblings to find anything useful.”Sulpicia had been surprised by the numerous reports they had been getting.It made her wonder what would happen when Bella could actually control her gift.Not only that but what would happen when Bella was turned and was at full strength.

“As someone who was one of Bella’s victims I can honestly say that if my enemy was the one who attacked me that way I would tell them anything I could to prevent it from happening again.I would turn on everyone I knew.”Kate wanted to say otherwise but if faced with being tortured by Bella she would have done anything to prevent it.

“I am sorry for that Kate.”Bella wished she hadn’t hurt Kate and still felt bad that Kate had to go through it.

Kate waved off her apology.”It wasn’t your fault.It was just a freak accident.”

“Regardless there is something we need to speak about.”Athenodora was sure this topic would cause some fighting but it needed to be discussed.

“What would that be?”Rosalie asked.

“Bella needs to be turned.”Athenodora said.

“I think that is a good idea.”Bella knew things would just get more dangerous for not only herself but the vampires attached to her as well if she wasn’t changed soon.

“Now we just have to discuss who is going to do it.”Sulpicia hoped Bella would allow her the honor but wouldn’t be to upset if one of the other queens were allowed to as well.It was obvious Bella was closer to Athenodora than the rest of them.

“Bella has already made her wishes known and wants Rosalie and myself to turn her.”Victoria told them.

“Would you be willing to let one of us have the opportunity as well?”Tanya asked.She would like to have a chance to add her venom to Bella to not only be close to the human but for safety reasons as well.”That way that even though Rosalie and Victoria both sire you if something happens you will have a third person to fight off the sire bond that Carlisle has with Rosalie.”

“I didn’t think of that.”Rosalie hadn’t really thought about if something happened to Victoria that Bella would be vulnerable to Carlisle.

“I didn’t either.”Victoria wanted to protest and say nothing would happen but the future wasn’t set.It would be better for Bella to be sired by just Victoria but she knew that Bella had her mind set on Rosalie being involved as well.Turning her attention to Bella she asked.”What do you think?”

“I understand the concerns but how would being changed by three vampires effect me?”Bella wasn’t exactly keen on the idea but could understand it would be safer if she wanted Rosalie involved and there was no way Bella was going to go through with it without Rosalie.

“It’s happened before and although the sire bond is there it is more equally distributed if that makes sense.Not one of the sires can ever take full control but if the three of them get together they can enforce an agreed upon command.”Athenodora hoped that if Bella was willing to allow three people to sire her she would be allowed.

“I think we should do it.”Rosalie knew she was the weak link in this and if she wanted to be a part of changing Bella they would have to add at least one more person to be safe.

“I do as well.”Victoria agreed.”The problem is how to pick the third person.”

Bella didn’t like the fact that the choice would be hers to make because she knew no matter what someone’s feelings would get hurt.”I don’t know how to pick.”

“Well myself and your other two mothers of course would like to volunteer.”Athenodora made sure to use their bond in her plea to remind Bella that they were her mothers.

“As would anyone in our coven.”Tanya knew that all of them would happily help sire Bella.

“I think you should pick me.”Kate said.”I’m your best friend and will be more than willing to not only protect you but teach you how to protect yourself.I even have plans on teaching you how to be a better vampire.”

“All of us are more than willing to protect Bella.Addressing the subject of teaching you to be a better vampire who would be better than a vampire queen who has been alive for many millennia and has been through similar situations that you have like a false mate bond, been kept away from your mates and is in a triad relationship.Not only that but the three of us have a familiar bond with you.A bond that you will feel when you are turned.”Sulpicia explained.The queen didn’t like that she had to plead her case to anyone other than her two mates but she was willing to if it encouraged Bella to pick one of them to be her sire.

Bella wasn’t sure what the right choice would actually be.It made sense to have Tanya do it because Bella trusted the coven leader not to do anything bad to her.Kate was out because Bella didn’t like the idea that Kate would be able to influence her.The queens were also a good option.Well Athenodora would be a good option.Bella knew her better than she did the other queens.Coming to a decision Bella spoke.”I want Rosalie, Victoria, Tanya and Athenodora to do it.”

“Oh man.”Kate complained.She really wanted to be a part of this.

“Thank you Bella.”Tanya beamed at the girl.It was nice to know that not only did Bella care about them enough to protect them with her gift but wanted Tanya to be one of the ones she trusted to turn her.

“I think it’s a wonderful idea.”Athenodora would prefer doing it herself but if there had to be more than one person doing it she was just happy she was involved.The other queens were obviously upset with the decision but Athenodora would just have to remind them that she had had more time to form a relationship with Bella than they did. Not that that would stop the hurt feelings but it would put it in perspective.

“I can get on board with that.”Rosalie liked the fact that Bella chose Tanya because it was just one more thing that proved that Bella cared about the Denali.Hopefully it would make Bella inclined to join the coven if they had the chance like Rosalie had initially wanted.

Victoria wasn’t sure if she liked the fact that Bella was involving two other people instead of one but if she really thought about it Bella was making a good political move for the triad. By having not only Tanya the head of a large coven sire her but one of the queens as well then it would form an unbreakable alliance with both groups. Even though she wasn’t that comfortable around the royals it would be nice to know they would be on their side even without the familiar bond.”I will go along with it if that is what you really want.”

“It is.”Bella told them.

“When should we do it?”Tanya asked.

“Can I have a last meal before I’m changed?” Bella knew that she would never be able to eat human food again after she was changed and wanted to have a feast before she was turned.

Victoria chuckled.”Of course.Do you know what you want?”

“I can make a list.Can someone go shopping or is it not safe?”Bella hoped it was safe because she didn’t think they had what she wanted at the villa.

“I can send some of the guards to go shopping.”Sulpicia would happily send some guards to buy food if that is what her daughter wanted. She was a little upset that she hadn’t been chosen to change Bella but was happy that at least Athenodora had been. It showed Bella was willing to let them have a place in her life and Sulpicia would do anything she could to strengthen that.Even if it was fulfilling a wish to buy groceries.

“Thank you.”Bella said.

“It’s no problem.Now why don’t you write your list and while we are waiting you can tell us about yourself.We heard bits and pieces from Athenodora but would like to hear from you.”Didyme wanted to know all there was about her daughter but knew she had to keep herself from being to forward.Athenodora had told them that Bella was somewhat shy and only usually talked when asked questions unless speaking to her mates.The queen hoped that Bella would become comfortable enough around them to initiate conversations but first she had to form some kind of relationship with the human.It was obvious Bella was open to it as she had protected Athenodora with her gift already so Didyme figured that Bella would do the same for her and Sulpicia once they got to know each other better.Even if she wasn’t involved in her actually turning.It was somewhat disappointing that she wasn’t chosen but Didyme understood it had to happen soon and Bella hadn’t gotten a chance to know anyone other than Athenodora.The queen was just happy Bella didn’t ignore her and her two mates completely.
