“Would you be so kind to get me a set of clothing. I believe it would be a good idea to change into my human form before I continue into your home.” Bella said to Kate as she ducked under the door to enter the house. The ceilings were tall enough that she could stand up but Bella was worried the floors and furniture wouldn’t hold her in her current form.

“Of course, I should have thought of that.” Kate was feeling silly not thinking of the logistics of Bella being in their home.

“It’s no problem. I would simply change to my human form but I feel as if my nakedness made Rosalie and Angela somewhat uncomfortable and wouldn’t want anyone else to feel that way.” Bella explained.

Of course Kate’s thoughts when right to what Bella would look like naked. To not make a fool of herself Kate rushed up the stairs to get some of the clothes she and Irina bought for Bella. Taking a deep unneeded breath Kate took a moment to get hold of herself. “Get it together. You are over a thousand years old not a bumbling teenager with her first crush.”

“Thank you.” Bella said as Kate handed her a pair of pants and a blue button down shirt. Not waiting for Kate to leave the room Bella changed back into her human form and began dressing. She figured as Kate was her imprint she wouldn’t mind.

Kate choked back an exclamation as Bella transformed suddenly into what looked like a young human woman. Her mate was extremely attractive in her human form and Kate found herself unable to draw her gaze away from the large member that was hanging between Bella’s legs. “You have a dick?”

“It was rather common for dragons to have genitalia of the opposite sex. Not the norm but not unheard of.” Bella explained. “Does it displease you?”

“No not at all.” Kate quickly reassured her. “It is just surprising. In humans it is extremely rare unless they undergo surgery.”

“I guess I can now understand why Rosalie and Angela reacted the way they did when I changed in front of them.” Bella said as she finished buttoning up her shirt.

“Rosalie and Angela have seen you naked.” Kate felt her fury grow at the idea of others seeing her mate naked and just as she was about to rush off to kill the two she felt a hand on her shoulder keeping her in place.

Bella chuckled at her imprint’s jealously. “I fear we are going to have problems in the future if the idea of others seeing me naked bothers you so much.”

“And why is that?” Kate asked through gritted teeth. She was trying to figure out a way to shrug off Bella’s arm without hurting her mate so she could continue on her mission to kill Rosalie and her human.

“Dragons and other were creatures rarely worry about who sees them unclothed. I can’t be sure but pretty much my entire court and most of my people have seen each of my forms in their natural state. It will likely be happening in the future as the other were creatures begin arriving.” Bella told her.

Kate growled at the idea of so many people seeing her mate’s body. “I will just have to kill all of them then.”

“You can’t go around killing anyone who has seen each form of my body.” Bella may have thought the jealousy was endearing but she wasn’t going to put up with Kate attacking her allies.

“And why not?” Kate didn’t see any problem with at least gouging their eyes out.

“Because that is not something I will permit.I will not put up with you being violent and angry over petty things.” Bella told her sternly.

Kate bristled at Bella’s tone. “You aren’t going to be stopping me from doing anything.”

“You may be my equal but I won’t have you abusing our subjects.”Bella wasn’t going to control Kate but she was going to stand up to any injustices.

Kate took a deep breath to calm herself enough to think over Bella’s words.”You’re right. I can’t abuse people just to make myself feel better.”

“Thank you.”Bella was happy Kate understood.”It’s part of my culture to not worry about clothing.If it truly bothers you then I will try to refrain from being in my human form without clothing.”

“I don’t want to sound unreasonable but my vampire instincts would rear their ugly head anytime someone saw you naked.So if you would be willing to try and wear clothing I would appreciate it.” Kate was already planning on wearing a backpack with clothes for Bella in it so that her mate would be covered.

Bella smiled.“Look at us.Our first fight and we resolved it without anything getting broken.”

“Hopefully future fights are so easily fixed.”Kate said.”So do you want to see your room?”

“My room?I assumed we would be sharing a room.Do you not want that?”Bella figured being mated to Kate would have them cohabitating.

“No, I do want that. I just didn’t know if you did so we prepared a private room for you as well.”Kate was happy it seemed Bella wanted to share a room.

“I would definitely like to share a room with you.”They may be preparing for war but Bella wanted to take whatever chances she and Kate had to have private moments.Sharing a room would help with that.

“I will have to move all the stuff we got you to my room then.”It wouldn’t be that big of a deal for Kate to make room for the clothing they got Bella.”We only bought you clothing as we didn’t really know what you would need.”

“That’s the problem isn’t it.From what Rosalie told me you have been alive at least a thousand years.”Kate nodded in confirmation so Bella continued to share her thoughts.”All those years have been continuous so you have adapted with the times.I have been sealed for many millennia so I have only progressed to the times as they were when I was first hidden away. I don’t know what the common things most people would have that they don’t even think are strange or understand any technology.You take these things for granted because you were around when they were developed.In someways I feel like a child in my stunted growth in these modern times.”

Kate hadn’t really thought about the fact that Bella wouldn’t know what simple things were.”Does that mean you don’t know what a cell phone is?”

“I do because Rosalie explained it to me.I can see the advantage to such a thing but it is not something I would personally want to carry around or use.”Bella didn’t like the idea of being vulnerable to someone having access to her anytime time of the day.

“So we shouldn’t get you a cell phone then?”Kate would like to have a way of getting ahold of her mate because she knew they would be separated soon as they needed to travel to gather allies.

Bella shook her head.”I don’t think it is safe for someone to be able to track me.”

“That’s true you can track someone through their cell phone.”Kate tried to think of alternative ways to stay in touch with Bella.”Are there other ways to communicate long distances?”

“Of course.In my days we used spell stones.”Bella told her.

“What are spell stones?”Kate asked.

Bella tried to think about how she could explain a magical concept to someone who knew nothing about magic.“They are special jewels that are enchanted so that when someone wants to contact the other person the say certain words and the stone lights up and records whatever is said to the stone.Once you are done with the message you say some different words and it sends the message to the corresponding stone.When the message is received the other stone will light up as well and when a spell is spoken whoever has the stone will hear the recorded words of the sender.”

“Even though though I don’t have magic could we use these stones ourselves?”Kate was intrigued but didn’t know if she would be able to actually use the stones.

“I can set the stone so that it is personally yours so even though you don’t have magic it will respond to you.”Bella told her.

“Then can you make the stones for us?”Kate would prefer a cell phone but would take whatever she could get to keep in touch with her mate.

”I would just need to get my hands on some type of natural jewel that is about this big.”Bella held her hands out to show Kate the proper size.

“Jesus.”Kate knew that whatever type of jewel they got would be expensive.If they could find any to buy that big.

“Is that problem?If it is I have hundreds of them in my keep.I can get them if you wish.”Bella offered.

“What is a keep?”Kate asked.

“It’s the place I used to go to for privacy and spend time by myself.It is also where I stored my most valuable treasures. Now it is filled with not only that but my personal belongings I sealed away for when I was released.”Bella explained.

“So you have a secret hideout that has hundreds of random jewels and other treasures plus your belongings from many thousands of years ago?”When Bella nodded Kate was even more flabbergasted.

“I was planning on taking Rosalie, Charles, Beatrice and Angela there to gather the things I needed but since we haven’t decided where to settle I delayed my plans. It would do no good to have my belongings if I didn’t have a place to put them.”Bella would like to have some of her personal comforts but she didn’t have a place to actually settle permanently so it wasn’t worth it.

“Why don’t you settle here?”Kate blurted out without thinking.She wasn’t going to take it back though.She wanted Bella to live in Alaska with them.

“I don’t want to insult you but your house wouldn’t be big enough for me to be comfortable living in.”Bella was intrigued by the idea though.She liked the area and Rosalie had been right when she said it had enough room for her to comfortably be in her dragon form.The house though was claustrophobic and Bella didn’t want to be stuck in her least comfortable form as a human all the time.

“Maybe when we build the buildings for your people we can build a home for you to.”Kate knew her sisters wouldn’t mind her offering.Irina would have offered to demolish their own home if Bella asked them for the space to put her home there, she was that enamored with the dragon.Tanya would be alright with the offer as well but for more strategic reasons.Having the dragon close meant the Denali would have access to what was going on.

“I will speak with the others about it when they come.Making my people comfortable first is the most important thing for us to worry about.”Bella was sure that she would have many willing were creatures to build a proper home for her but she wasn’t going to push the issue until everything else was taken care of.

“That makes sense.”Kate would put the idea on the back burner for the time being but would bring it up to Charlie if she got the chance.Maybe she would talk to Rosalie as well.It was obvious how much Bella respected the vampire’s opinion so if Kate got Rosalie on her side it could make Bella more willing to accept the offer.

“Until then how about you show me our quarters?”Bella would like a chance see where she would be staying for the unknown future.

“Sure right this way.”Kate motioned for Bella to follow her up the stairs.She had many things to think about after speaking to Bella.First she would show Bella their room then she was going to get Carmen and Eleazar on finding the jewels they needed.Although interested in what Bella had in her keep Kate wanted to make sure they had the jewels as soon as possible.She wasn’t going to force her mate to have a cell phone because if she really thought about it it was somewhat impractical if Bella wasn’t in human form.Bella having to change back just to answer the phone would cause more people to see her naked body and Kate wanted to prevent that if she could.Kate had a feeling that she was going to spend a lot of time in the future holding herself back from killing people.She would have to speak to Irina about were creature culture.Hopefully her mate would be willing to compromise on some things because if not Kate had a feeling there would be a lot of fighting.
