“It seems the princess has the flu.”Dr.Daniels told the room full of people surrounding the sick girl sitting on the exam table. He wasn’t sure what she was the princess of but he wasn’t going to ask after being threatened with bodily harm for calling the girl by her first name.How he got in this situation with these people once again was beyond him.The doctor had been about two hours from finishing up his day when a group of body guards had come in and demanded everyone but the doctor and one nurse leave the building.He had initially fought the group but when he was told who the patient was he quickly complied and canceled his appointments for the rest of the day. Now here he was facing the group of extremely dangerous people once again.

“Well fix her then.”Caius demanded.

“It’s not a matter of a quick fix.”Dr.Daniels flinched when he heard what he thought were growls coming from most of the occupants of the room.

“Well what are you going to do to make her better then?” Athenodora asked. She was getting more worried because beside the vomiting and fever Bella now had a runny nose and was sneezing.

“Well I will give you some medication to help but the best thing for her is to drink plenty of fluids and sleep.She will also need foods she will be able to keep down such as clear soups.Have her work up to more solid food.”Dr.Daniels told them.

“Speaking of medication we want her to have something different for pain.What you initially prescribed isn’t working.”Caius said.

Dr.Daniels pulled out his prescription pad and began filling out pages.“I can give her a higher dosage but I recommend that she not take it until she stops vomiting.”

“How will we know that the treatment is working?”Tanya asked.

“Her fever breaking will be the first sign she is better but as I said it’s not a quick fix so don’t expect her to be better in the first few hours.She may not feel any difference for at least a day if not more.Bring her back if she throws up any blood or her fever gets any higher than it is right now.”The doctor handed Caius the scripts.

“What is the danger of the fever getting higher?”Athenodora had read a little bit about human medicine but had mostly focused on nutrition and how to keep Bella healthy.

“In extreme cases it can effect the brain but I doubt that will happen to the princess as it seems you caught this before it got to bad.”Dr.Daniels told them.

“Heidi.”The guard in question was at Caius’ side in an instant.”Take someone and go pick up Bella’s medication.”

“Of course my king.”Heidi was more than willing to do anything she could to help Bella.She along everyone else was quite taken with the human and didn’t like seeing her feeling unwell.

“Can we go home now?”Bella asked. She was tired and wanted to go back to bed.

Tanya gently cradled Bella’s hand in her own.“Of course sweetheart.”

“Let’s get you bundled back up and in the limo so we can leave.”Athenodora had already dismissed the doctor from her thoughts as she wrapped Bella back up in the blanket she came with and lifted her in her arms.

“Thanks mom.”Bella mumbled already half way to sleep.

“Do you have food at the castle she can eat or should I go get some?”Tanya asked as she looked up on her phone the best foods for someone who had the flu.

Athenodora didn’t like the idea of someone other than her going to pick out food for Bella but she needed to stay near her daughter.”Why don’t you go pick up a few things.”

“I’ll be back soon my love.”Tanya kissed Bella on the forehead as she made her way out of the doctor’s office and headed towards the grocery store.She was happy the queen let her do something to help Bella because Tanya doubted the queen would allow Tanya the main role in taking care of her mate.

“We need to call Jane.” Caius said as he slid in next to his mate in the backseat of the limo.

“You don’t have to call Jane.I’m not dying.”Bella complained.

“Jane is your mate.She has a right to know that you are sick.”Athenodora said.

“She will rush home though.”Bella grumbled.

“She wouldn’t be a good mate if she didn’t rush home.”Caius would physically harm either of Bella’s mates if they didn’t drop everything they were doing if Bella needed them.

Athenodora ignored her daughter’s protests and pulled out her phone to call Jane.Waiting for the line to be picked up she spoke before the guard could.”Bella is sick.You need to come home.”

“Is she alright?”Jane’s voice was somewhat panicked.

“The doctor says she has the flu.She has a fever, is prone to vomiting, has a runny nose, is sneezing and coughing.”Athenodora explained.

“We have the father already so I will leave immediately.I will make a couple of the guards stay here to finish the cover up.”Jane said.

“Good we will be in my chambers. You can debrief there.”Athenodora was not only having Jane tell them what happened on her mission in her rooms because Jane needed to be with Bella but the queen also wanted to know what happened and wouldn’t be leaving her daughter’s side until she was better.

“Thank you your majesty.”Jane replied.

Instead of answering Athenodora ended the call.”There now your mate will be where she is needed the most.”

“I’m happy she has the parents.”Caius said as he looked at Bella’s sleeping face.His daughter looked so innocent when she was asleep.He was going to miss her sleeping the most out of all her human habits when she was turned.It was a time he cherished because she gave her complete trust in him to keep her safe at her most vulnerable.He also liked that she wouldn’t relax until him and his mate were both touching her in some way be just laying next to her or being wrapped up in their arms.

“I wish Bella wasn’t ill so we could deal with them right away.”Athenodora had been making plans for Bella’s human parents and couldn’t wait to get her hands on them.

“I know that you are anxious to begin their punishment but remember we need to wait for Aro to get all the information from them first.”Caius knew his brother wasn’t looking forward to seeing the abuse Bella suffered and it was because he was willing to do so showed how much he already loved his niece.

“We also need to decide what to do with those other three idiots in the dungeon.” Athenodora and the others had been so occupied with Bella that they hadn’t worked out exactly what they wanted to do to the three Cullens.

“I personally want to give the mind reader to the guard to play with.”Caius said.

Athenodora liked the thought of that.”That actually would be quite enjoyable to watch.”

“It would also give them a chance to learn how to fight against a telepath.” Caius would have to bring it up to the other royals.

“It would be good for their training.”Athenodora agreed.”How do you think Bella will feel about that punishment?”

“I predict that our daughter’s only objection will be that the fights would happen to fast for her to actually see them with her human eyes.”Caius was more than confident that Bella would encourage the fights.

Athenodora smiled down at Bella.”She really was made to be our daughter.”

“That she was my love.”Caius had seen it with Bella’s various traits that she was a perfect mix of both him and his mate.”I can’t wait until she is turned.She is going to be a magnificent vampire.”

“I was surprised when Aro mentioned he was planning on giving her her own throne.”Athenodora said.

“I wasn’t that surprised.He has been quite vocal in his predictions for Bella being the greatest leader our race has ever known.It is one of the reasons Aro is dedicating so much of his time to researching her gift. He wants her to be at her full potential when she is finally introduced to the vampire population.”Caius told her.

“We do need to have a formal ball to present her to the court officially.”Athenodora would have to get started on planning on it.

“Marcus mentioned he has been putting together a curriculum for Bella to learn vampire history and laws.We need to decide when we want her to start her studies.”Caius had offered books from his personal collection for Marcus to use.He wanted his daughter to know everything there was about vampires before she became one.

“Do you think she will remember all of it when she is turned?”Athenodora was worried Bella would forget all about the time they spent together when she was changed.

“I think she will.Most vampires forget their human lives only if they are turned in a very extreme situation.Bella will be turned by choice surrounded by the people who love her the most and we will be there to reinforce her memories so she won’t forget them.” Caius was sure Bella would have a positive reaction to turning.

“That’s another things that will need to be discussed.Bella said she wished for both of us and Jane to turn her but now she has Tanya so I don’t know how she wants to proceed.”Athenodora hoped with the new mate Bella would decided she only wanted her parents to turn her. The queen would prefer to do it by herself but didn’t want to be selfish.

“We will work it out when Bella gets better.She hasn’t really gotten a chance to know Tanya that well so who knows if she will be able to bond with the vampire at all before she is turned.Let’s just hope she doesn’t form any more bonds.”Caius hoped that no matter what Bella would still let him be involved in her turning.

“From your lips to god’s ears.”Athenodora said as they pulled into the castle garage.Adding anyone else to Bella’s life would be downright depressing. The queen hated sharing Bella with even just her mate and now that Tanya was added into the mix she had to fight three other people for Bella’s attention.It was working out fine now that Bella was a human because Athenodora could control who Bella spent time with but when her daughter was turned and the bonds snapped in place it would be hard to stop Bella from searching out her connection to the others.It would be cruel to stop Bella from spending time with her bond mates and even though Athenodora was known to be cruel she would never do that to her daughter.
