“What happened with Jasper?”Rosalie asked from her spot sitting between Isabella’s legs playing with a group of squirrels while they sat in a meadow filled with flowers. Rosalie had thought seeing Isabella interact with the animals the first time was surprising but as she looked back at her mate who was leaning against a large sleeping bear with it’s cubs dozing on and around Tanya Rosalie was downright shocked.Those weren’t the only animals in the clearing with them either. There were at least two dozen different creatures that were playing, eating, sleeping or vying for Isabella’s attention. It was an awe inspiring sight and Rosalie knew even if she were human she wouldn’t have experienced it without Isabella being there.

“Poor Jasper.Such a tragic gift he has.” Isabella said.

Tanya looked up from the bear cub she was holding in her lap.“What do you mean?”

“I don’t think anyone really understands how debilitating his gift is.He doesn’t only feel people’s emotions but he experiences them as well. So all the anger, sadness, happiness are all things he is overwhelmed with constantly. Since he has been turned he had yet to feel one emotion at a time until he felt my aura.I believe it was the overwhelming love and comfort people feel when in my presence that caused him to break down.”Isabella explained.

“I hadn’t really thought about how Jasper’s gift worked.I guess I just thought he knew what someone was feeling not that it was something he felt personally.”Rosalie couldn’t imagine what it would feel like to cycle through so many emotions that weren’t even her own.

“My aura gives him peace because it is so overwhelming it cancels out everyone else’s emotions so all he feels is what he detects from me.”Isabella said.

“Poor Jasper.”Tanya was more than willing to overlook any jealously she had about Jasper being close to her mate if it helped him to have Isabella close once in a while.

“He is a good man who has drawn the short straw in life.I wish that I could have helped him more but vampires are out of my domain.”Isabella told them.

“Does that mean vampires aren’t your creation?”Rosalie asked.

Isabella shook her head.”My sister Nyx created vampires.She is also who gave me the liquid that made your skin not sparkle.”

“A goddess created vampires?For what purpose?”Tanya like many others wondered about the origins of vampires but other than myths and legends there was no definite proof of how they came to be.

“If humans didn’t have a natural predator they would be to close to gods for our liking.So because of that Nyx thought vampires would be perfect for that.She is actually quite proud of your species.”Isabella said.

“What about children of the moon and shifters?Did she create them as well?”Rosalie asked.

“Partially, she worked with Artemis to create them.”Isabella told them.

“Isn’t Artemis goddess of the hunt?” Tanya was sure she was.

“Yes, and who better than her to help create something that would be needed to hunt vampires if they got out of hand.”Isabella said.

“That makes sense.”If Tanya had to pick someone to help her create a dangerous creature she would pick the goddess of the hunt as well.

“What is your realm like?”Rosalie had read that each god and goddess had different realms that they oversaw.

“My realm is beautiful. It contains the souls of those waiting for reincarnation.I believe humans would equate my realm to what heaven actually is.Souls live peacefully in a place with no fear, anger, or dangerous situations. They reflect on all the previous lives they live and once judged by myself I decide what their next life will be.” Isabella told them.

“Reincarnation is real?”Tanya asked.

“Of course.Every living being has been through the cycle numerous times.”Isabella said.

Rosalie was having trouble wrapping her head around the concept that this wasn’t her first life.“Do only humans reincarnate?”

“No, a soul could come back as anything.Except for plants. Plants have no souls.”Isabella was grateful for that because of the number of blades of grass alone could never be covered with the amount of souls available at any given time.

“So that means this isn’t mine and Rosalie’s first life?”Tanya couldn’t imagine what lives she had lived before.She must have been a somewhat decent person if she was now mated to a goddess.

Isabella shook her head.”No, you both have had many different lives.I could tell you each who you were before but I personally think it’s better not knowing.Unless you are truly interested then of course I will share the information.”

“I will have to think about if I want to know.”Tanya was a lot older than Rosalie so anyone she was before this version of herself would have been long forgotten.

“I don’t think I want to know.”Rosalie had enough struggles in this current lifetime she didn’t want to know the fate of her previous selves.”Will we ever get the chance to visit your realm?”

“Of course. You both will be allowed to go wherever you wish as long as I am there to escort you.You will be carrying the child of a goddess so both children will have free passage to each of the realms of those who will allow them to enter as well.I doubt any would keep them out though.”Isabella didn’t have any enemies so she figured if her children were respectful they would be welcomed by all.

“I didn’t really think of that. Will our children have godly duties as well?” Tanya was so focused on having a child she didn’t really think of the logistics.

“No, they will be only half god.They won’t have the same expectations as those who are born of a titan have.Even the children born of two gods only usually get duties related to what their parents domains are.Our children would have powers that came from me so they would be life alined.”Isabella explained.

Rosalie sighed in relief.”I feel better knowing they will have a choice in their future.”

“Me too.”Tanya agreed. She wouldn’t be happy if their children were forced to be away from them like Isabella was.

“There is another aspect of having children that we need to discuss.”Isabella said.

“Is it something bad?”Rosalie was still waiting for the other shoe to drop so she wouldn’t be surprised if Isabella was going to tell them something negative.

“No, it’s not bad. I simple wish to know if you want to carry your own children or if you would like to carry each other’s?” Isabella personally didn’t have a preference but wanted to know what her mates thought.

“You mean like I could carry the child of yourself and Rosalie and Rosalie could carry our child?”Tanya asked.

“Exactly that.”Isabella said.

Rosalie thought about what she would feel about carrying a child that was part Tanya and part Isabella.It would be a way that they all could have children that came from all three of them.”I think it would be amazing to carry yours and Tanya’s child.”

“I like that idea as well.”Tanya was more than willing to be a part of bringing a little Rosalie into this world.

“Alright then I will make sure that happens.”Isabella was happy to fulfill this wish for her mates.”So what are your lives like?”

Rosalie remembered Alice telling them that Isabella had known about her human life and that brought about a question Rosalie had for the goddess.”Don’t you know all about us?You did Alice?”

“I know all about your human lives including your turning but I don’t know anything about your lives as vampires.The reason I know so much about Alice is because her sire was killed shortly after she was turned so her losing her memories was a subject brought up when I was reviewing his soul for judgement.”Isabella explained.

“So you know how each of us was turned?”Seeing Isabella nod Rosalie asked.”Did you judge the souls of the men who attacked me?”

“I did and their souls have been on a journey of misery and pain ever since.I will eventually release them from the cycle when I feel they are significantly punished.”Isabella didn’t think that was going to be anytime soon but she would evaluate after each death.

Rosalie felt better knowing that after she killed those men they were also getting punished in the afterlife.”Thank you.”

“I don’t reward those who do things like that.It also takes them a very long time to be offered humanity again.”Isabella said.

“I like knowing that the shitty people we deal with aren’t rewarded after they die.”Tanya knew how Rosalie was turned as well and liked the idea that the perpetrators were miserable wherever they were.

“That being said, what are your vampire lives like?”Isabella asked again.

“Well I have stayed with Carlisle and the others since I was turned.My life basically consists of repeating high school and college over and over again when we get to old to be in the same area without causing suspicion.”Rosalie was actually somewhat embarrassed on how her life had turned out.

“What kind of hobbies do you have?”Isabella knew that Rosalie had to do more than just go to school over and over again.

“I love cars.Most of the houses we live in have full mechanic’s garages for me to fix up old cars or maintain the ones we already have.”Rosalie said.

“Ahh yes automobiles.I have never ridden in one before.”Isabella hadn’t really considered if she wanted to.

“I have to take you for a ride then.You’ll love it.”Rosalie was already going through an inventory of all of her cars trying to pick out the perfect one for Isabella’s first ride.

”I look forward to it.”Turning her attention to Tanya Isabella asked.”How about you?”

“My life has been long but not that exciting.”Tanya said.

“That isn’t true.You have done all kinds of amazing things.”Rosalie knew that Tanya had done more things in the thousand years of her life than Rosalie could even imagine.

“In the grand scheme of things it had moments of excitement.The last few decades have been me constantly traveling in hopes I would find my mate.” Tanya told them.

“You never told me that was why you were traveling.”Rosalie had believed Tanya when she said she wanted a chance to be away from her sisters.

“I was to embarrassed to tell anyone.”Tanya admitted.

“It’s not embarrassing to want to find love.”Isabella had to stomp out her anger at her father for denying Tanya the one thing she had seemed desperate to have.

“I know and even though I wasted a lot of time I wouldn’t have it any other way.”Tanya wasn’t lying either. If she had actually found her mate on one of her trips she would probably have lost the closeness she had to Rosalie before Isabella showed up.Tanya would definitely not be planning to have a child.If wasting a few years of her life until she found Isabella was the price then she would pay it ten fold if the result was the same.

“I wouldn’t either.”Rosalie agreed.

“Me neither.”Isabella kissed Tanya softly.Feeling the cold skin on her own reminded Isabella of something.”I almost forgot I have a gift for you.”

“You don’t have to give me anything.”Tanya wasn’t expecting Isabella to give her more than some of her time and attention.

“I know but Rosalie already has one so I figured it would only be fair for you to have one as well.”Isabella lifted the necklace from around her neck and handed it to Tanya.

Tanya took it from her and looked at the violet encased in some kind of glass that made it look like the flower was still alive.”It’s warm.”

“It will work just like Rosalie’s.”Isabella lifted the necklace from Tanya’s fingers and put it around her neck.

“Thank you.”Tanya had hoped Isabella would eventually give her one but wasn’t expecting it so it was a nice surprise.”Kate is going to be so jealous.”

Isabella chuckled.”Oh Katerina.I believe I made some progress today with the puppy don’t you?”

“Well she did forget she was afraid of you for a few seconds so I would say that is progress.”Rosalie was happy that Tanya got a necklace as well.She was actually going to offer to share the one she had with her mate but Isabella fixed the problem before she could.

“I will have to think of something else to get her to like me.”It amused Isabella to no end that Kate thought she was after her.In reality Isabella liked Kate very much and even remembered her human life fondly.

“It has to be something big because she is terrified of you.”Tanya knew the dog would only be a little bit of progress in getting Kate comfortable around the goddess.

“It amazes me that such a fierce warrior is more afraid of me than she is about the two vampires in your house that are a real threat.”Isabella would have thought Kate would have already taken care of Carlisle and Edward by now.

Rosalie frowned as she felt her good mood start to evaporate.“I almost forgot about those two idiots.”

“What are you planning to do about them?”Tanya figured Isabella would have had a plan already.

“I was going to ask what the two of you would like to do?”Isabella was going to take her father’s advice and make sure both Tanya and Rosalie had a say on what would happen to the two problem vampires.

“I want to just kill them and be done with it but even I can see that’s a little bit extreme.”Rosalie said.”I’m not opposed to beating on them though.”

“I myself wish that they would just go away but I know they aren’t going to stop hunting animals so they will have to be dealt with.”Tanya wasn’t sure what to do about them though.

“Well I’ve taken away the boy’s gift and his singer so what else would affect the pair?”Isabella asked.

“All Carlisle really cares about are his own humanity, Edward and having power over his coven.”Rosalie couldn’t even add Esme to that list because he barely even tolerated her presence.”Is Esme even his mate?”

“I haven’t checked but do you think otherwise?”Isabella hadn’t really paid attention to the pairings of each of the vampires in both her mate’s covens except to know Edward was not mated to the human.

”That would make a lot sense.”Tanya could easily pick up on what Rosalie was thinking.”Carlisle almost keeps Esme around to provide the optics of the perfect family. The husband and wife raising their children.If I really think about it they don’t act like a mated couple.”

“He definitely cares more for Edward than Esme.”Rosalie couldn’t remember a time ever seeing Carlisle and Esme actually kiss each other and their physical interactions seemed beyond forced.Now that she was mated herself Rosalie couldn’t imagine acting like the pair when it came to her relationship with her own mates.

“Do you think Edward is Carlisle’s mate?”Isabella asked.

“It would explain so many things.”Rosalie said.”Everyone who knows our family comments on Carlisle’s love of Edward with many thinking they are a mated pair.”

“His hatred of homosexuals is well known so if he was actually mated to Edward Carlisle would do everything he could to ignore the bond.”Tanya remembered on the phone call when Carlisle expected Rosalie to reject Isabella and settle down with a man instead.It would make sense if he was in fact gay that he would cling to Esme instead.

“And Esme was turned by Carlisle and he keeps her away from people so she wouldn’t know any better.”Rosalie knew Carlisle liked Esme to be kept out of the way when they had the random guest over.

“She was also raised to believe that a woman’s place in this world was to follow her husband and that his word was law.Carlisle has done nothing to break that thought pattern.”Tanya remembered when she first met Esme and Carlisle had to actually give her permission to talk to her coven before the woman would even greet them.

“I think with all these facts and the way neither of you are surprised with the idea they might be either proves they are or that Carlisle is at least a homosexual who is in love with Edward.”Isabella concluded.

“That does about sum it up.Any way we look at it Carlisle is definitely in love with Edward.”Rosalie said.

“What do we do with this information?”Tanya knew that it was something they could use she just didn’t know how.

Rosalie shrugged.“We could lock them in a room with only the two of them and a few bags of human blood and wait until they give into their cravings for not only human blood but each other.”

“Although humorous I doubt that would work.Carlisle would just blame the human blood for his feelings and then reject the idea of not only being gay but drinking human blood more passionately.”Isabella hated having to veto that idea because it would be rather funny to watch.

“Then how are you going to stop them from hunting animals?”Tanya wasn’t sure there was anything they could actually do.

Isabella smirked.“How can you hunt something that doesn’t exist?”

“What do you mean?”Rosalie asked.

“I’m going to put up a little warning system in the forest around your home.If Edward,Carlisle or Esme are detected I will know right away and make sure there are no animals available for them to hunt.If they try to go anywhere else I will do the same thing.Either they will go mad with hunger or they will see the error of their ways and turn back to human blood.”Isabella explained.

“That’s brilliant.”Tanya couldn’t imagine what the trio would do if they couldn’t hunt.”It might be the thing that Esme rebels against Carlisle for.”

“I wouldn’t count on it but it would be a good idea to stock up on blood bags.”Rosalie knew they would have to be past the point of hunger to actually change their diet but she had faith that Isabella would intervene if they got out of control.

“I’ll look into it.”Tanya volunteered.She knew that life was about to get even more chaotic if the three idiots couldn’t feed so they would have to be more on guard than usual. Maybe she would make everyone start practicing fighting.It had been a couple decades since she had her coven train.She should have been more on top of it. Now they definitely needed to be able to protect themselves because with the two new babies that were coming they would need the might of both covens to keep them safe when Isabella wasn’t around.Not that she doubted her mate wouldn’t protect their children she just wanted to be prepared in case there was an emergency and Isabella couldn’t be there.Looking over at Isabella as she wove flowers through Rosalie’s hair Tanya knew without a doubt that not only would their mate protect them but she would bring down all the might of a goddess on anyone who thought they could harm their family.
