Sight Unseen 15

“I really wish you would have at least let my mate come with us.”Tanya said as she and Rosalie were driving to Bella’s house. The Denali had arrived not even fifteen minutes before Rosalie rushed Tanya out of the house to pick up the human who could speak to ghosts. Tanya wasn’t sure the girl really could and this whole situation was making her uncomfortable. She had wished her mate was with them but when she brought it up Rosalie and Alice had told her that Bella would react badly to be ambushed by not one but two people. Tanya thought she heard Emmett mumble something about Bella being afraid of them killing her but Tanya didn’t get to question him before she was pushed out the door.

“Irina being there would make her suspicious. Then she would trust us even less than she does now.” Rosalie wasn’t telling the whole truth.Not only would Bella be uncomfortable but Rosalie didn’t want Irina or Kate near Bella until Rosalie had a claim on the girl.She actually didn’t want them around Bella at all but if they had to Rosalie wanted it after she had a claim on the human. That way she would be in her right to kill either of them if they made a pass at her mate like they were more than likely to do.

“I still would prefer it.” Tanya said.

Rosalie pulled up to Bella’s house and parked.”It’s to late we are here. Now remember she doesn’t know anything about vampires. Alice was adamant that if we told her she would freak out.”

“Got it.”Tanya said only to freeze when she got a look at the teenage girl that walked out of the front door of the house they were parked in front of.The girl was lovely and had a beautiful face but it was the brown eyes that caught Tanya’s attention. As soon as the brown met her gold Tanya had the overwhelming urge to pull the girl into her arms and never let her go. “Moje srdce je uzdravene.”

“Are you alright?” Rosalie asked noticing the look of surprise on Tanya’s face.

Bella looked at the blond woman sitting in the car in confusion.”Tatiana?”

“What? How does she know you?” Rosalie asked Tanya only to find the vampire already out of the car and pulling Bella into a hug.

“You know me?”Tanya asked as she held her child in her arms because once Tanya locked eyes with Bella she felt like the girl had come from her own body and knew that the human was her bond child.

”No I know Sasha.”Bella said not understanding why this woman was hugging her.

Tanya pulled back from the hug to look at the human.”How do you know Sasha?”

“She has been visiting me since I was a child. She told me all about you.Where are Kate and Irina?” From what she was told Bella knew the sisters usually traveled together.

“Sasha has been been visiting you?Is she with us right now?”Tanya asked.

”She has been with me all morning.”Bella turned her attention to the ghost that had been shadowing her since she got up.”Now I know why you were so excited.”

“I have been waiting for this day for a very long time.” Sasha told her.”Tell her that I think she should forgive Kate for the incident in 1857.”

“She says you need to forgive Kate for the incident in 1857.”Bella didn’t asked for any details because if Sasha didn’t tell her she figured it was best not to know.

Tanya laughed then pulled Bella into a hug and started sobbing.”I miss you so much.”

“She says that she has been watching over you and is very proud.”Bella said patting Tanya awkwardly on the back not that comfortable with comforting a sobbing woman.

“Why did you do it?Why weren’t we enough?Why wasn’t I enough?”Tanya asked in-between sobs.

Bella sighed.Now she was going to have to pass on messages. She knew when this got out more ghost were going to pester her to contact their loved ones for them.”She said that you were enough it was her that took life with you and your sisters for granted. She was so obsessed with trying to regain her human life that she ignored the fact that she had everything she had lost with her the whole time.”

“You could have come to us, we would have helped you.”Tanya said.

“She says you know it would have just gotten you killed as well.There was no saving her from herself.She was to far gone when she created the child.” Bella didn’t know what that meant and wasn’t sure she wanted to.

Tanya took a few deep breaths trying to get ahold of herself.”We haven’t been the same without you. I haven’t been the same without you.”

“She says she knows and says although she could never make it right that she hopes the child fills the hole in your heart she left.”Bella told her.

“You sent her?”Tanya asked.

“She says a gift that great isn’t sent it’s earned?”Bella looked at her watch over Tanya’s shoulder.”Look I’m really happy for you you got to talk to Sasha but I need to get to school.My dad wouldn’t be happy if I skipped.”

Tanya gave Bella one last squeeze being careful not to hurt her and let her go.”Of course.”

“Right anyway so I guess you are riding with us?”Bella wasn’t sure how to proceed in this situation.She had never had someone have a conversation with one of the ghosts that talked to her.

“Yes,I’m driving you.” Tanya grabbed Bella’s hand and led her to the car where a very unhappy and confused Rosalie was standing.

Bella tried to shake the hand off but it seemed that Tanya wasn’t going to let go.”Hello Rosalie.”

Rosalie softened her death glare and smiled at Bella.”Hello Bella.”

“Uh so I think you have to let my hand go unless you are sitting in the back seat with me.”Bella at least hoped the woman wouldn’t.

Tanya weighed her options.She would like to sit close to her child but had already pushed past what Bella was obviously comfortable with.Letting go of Bella’s hand she opened the back door for her.”I’ll sit in the front.”

“I’ll sit in back with you.”Rosalie volunteered earning a weird look from Bella.

“That’s ok.I’ve ridden in the backseat of a car by myself before. I’ll be fine on my own.”Bella told her.

If Rosalie could blush she would have at how silly she was being.”Of course you can.”

“So Bella tell me about yourself.”Tanya asked as soon as all three occupants where in the car.She really wanted to speak to Sasha more but didn’t know how Bella’s gift worked so she didn’t want to push the human.Getting to know her daughter was just as important and Tanya wished that she could have Bella skip school so Tanya could bring her home for her to spend the day with her and Irina. Tanya almost slapped herself for being so careless. She didn’t even think of her mate being so caught off guard with the Sasha talk. Of course Irina would want to meet their child.

“There isn’t much to tell. I lived in Forks until my parents got a divorce and then moved to Arizona with my mom. She got married and I moved in with my dad.”Bella figured giving vague answers would be enough to be polite.She didn’t feel comfortable telling strangers about herself. Even if that stranger was the daughter of a ghost she knew for most of her life.

Tanya frowned.”I see.What do you like to do for fun?”

“My main hobby is trying not to get killed by strangers.”Bella told her.

Rosalie sighed.”We aren’t going to kill you.”

“Who’s trying to kill you?”Tanya would kill anyone who tried to hurt her daughter in any way.

“The jury’s still out but I’m pretty sure that Rosalie’s family is.I’m not sure about you yet but Sasha vouched for you so I’m pretty sure you’re safe.” Bella wasn’t going to let her guard down to much around them just in case though.

“Which one of you tried to kill Bella?!!”Tanya demanded with a growl as she turned her black eyes to Rosalie.

“None of us tried to kill Bella. She’s my mate. I wouldn’t let anyone near her if they were dangerous.”Rosalie was offended Tanya would think otherwise.She also didn’t appreciate the claim Tanya was trying to make on Bella.

“Woah stop right there buttercup.I’m not your anything.”Bella didn’t know what mates were but she was sure she didn’t want anything to do with it.

Rosalie glared at Tanya.”I didn’t mean it like that. I meant to say you are my friend.I would never hurt my friend.”

“I’m not sure it’s a good idea to be friends with your stalker.”Bella mused.

“Who’s stalking you?” Tanya would kill them.

“Rosalie and her siblings.” Bella told her.

Rosalie sighed once again when Tanya growled at her.”We told you Bella we haven’t been stalking you. Alice has been having visions of you.It’s not the same thing.”

“I don’t know, now that I’ve had time to think about it that wall you guys have dedicated to me is rather concerning.”Bella said.

“What wall?”Tanya asked.

Rosalie put her head in her hands and groaned.She had thought they had made progress with Bella and now Bella was right back to thinking they were stalking her.The girl would probably start carrying a weapon to protect herself from Rosalie and her family.”It’s of the cases Alice has had visions of Bella being involved with.”

“I want to see this wall.”Tanya wanted to see what kind of trouble Bella had been getting in using her gift so she would know how to protect the girl in the future.

“Oh man not you to.I had such high hopes for you.”Bella complained.

“What are you talking about?”Tanya asked.

“You are going to see the wall and then get as invested as the others and then you will start following me around like the three stooges do.I wonder if I will get a prize for filing so many restraining orders.” Bella figured that she should at least get a certificate or something.

“The three stooges?”Rosalie was highly offended that her mate called her, Alice and Emmett that.

“You don’t need to file any retraining orders. I will keep them away from you.”Tanya didn’t care if Rosalie was Bella’s mate. If the vampire made Bella uncomfortable Tanya would keep her away.

“Great.Now I have a stalker bodyguard.”Bella mumbled.She perked up when they pulled into the school parking lot.Getting out of the car she called a goodbye over her shoulder and quickly made her way to school. She figured if she was around other people she wouldn’t be bothered by the others so much.

“I’ll pick you two up after school.”Tanya told Rosalie frowning as she watched Bella rush into the building.

“First you are going to tell me what happened with Bella.”Rosalie wasn’t going to get out of the car until she knew what Tanya’s connection with her mate was. Tanya was obviously drawn to the girl and Rosalie wasn’t sure she liked it.

“Bella is my bond child and once she meets Irina she will feel the bond as well.”Tanya wished Irina was there when she met Bella because her mate probably wouldn’t be able to wait until Bella was done with school before rushing to meet the girl.

“Your bond child?” Rosalie suddenly felt all the jealousy she had about Tanya meeting Bella disappear. Everyone knew that a child bond was sacred and wasn’t joked about so if Tanya said Bella was her child then Rosalie knew for certain Tanya’s interest in her mate was not romantic.

“Yes and if you wouldn’t mind I would like to get back to my mate to speak with her about it.”Tanya said.

“Let me know how she takes it?”Rosalie asked getting out of the car.

“Of course.”Tanya waved to Rosalie as she drove away.She would only contact Rosalie about Irina because Rosalie was Bella’s mate.That was another issue that would need to be discussed. Tanya didn’t know if she wanted her daughter to be mated yet. Bella was still underage if she remembered correctly and it wouldn’t be proper for Bella to be dating yet. She would have to talk to Irina about this.Tanya knew that her beloved would have an opinion on how she would want Rosalie to pursue the mate bond. Hopefully Rosalie would go along with their decision. Tanya didn’t want to have to fight the young vampire.
