When Dawn Breaks 55

“Before we begin I would like to personally thank each of you for giving up your time to help out with this situation.” Bella said as she addressed the room. They were in the ballroom again as even with the new beds it was the only place that would fit all the shifters and vampires that were at the estate.She had just gotten home from purchasing the supplies they needed for the mission and Bella wanted to get everyone on the same page before she went to find some dinner.They had stopped at a fast food place on their way home but Bella and she assumed the other shifters that had gone with her were still hungry.

“Thank you White Tiger.”Someone in the crowd yelled out followed by a chorus of thank you’s from others.

“Now as I’m sure either Rosalie has told you or you have heard from the others someone is kidnapping shifter children.For those who don’t know the specifics the purpose of this is they are trying to figure out what makes us shift. Their end goal is to use that knowledge to create artificial shifters that they want to use for super soldiers.” Bella gave everyone a minute to calm down. She expected the growls, roars and general outrage at learning this information. Not one person who was told reacted any different.

“How are we going to stop them?” A small man towards the middle of the crowd asked.

“Stopping them is why you are here.”Bella told them. “We have learned that vampires are behind this. They are using humans as not only scientist and doctors but the face of legal companies that are funding the research.If that wasn’t bad enough some of the companies are weapons manufactures that have been developing weapons to target shifter specifically.Recently we took out the main laboratory while we were rescuing some of the young that had been kidnapped in the region and were able to get a lot of information about the people running it. As to what we are going to do Rosalie would you please explain what you have been working on?”

Rosalie gave Bella a smile as she stepped forward to address the crowd. She knew what Bella was doing and she appreciated that her mate was giving her the opportunity to show that she was an equal authority to the White Tiger. “Of course Bella. Myself and several others have been researching the main players involved’s lives. We are doing that because we want to figure out who they are, who their family is, what car they drive, and things like that. The purpose for this is because not only do we need to know who is in charge but we are hoping that they will lead us to the vampires overseeing everything.”

“Thank you Rose. Now to the reason we called you all here.We need each of you for surveillance. Myself and my family aren’t able to do it because some of them are vampires and myself and my imprint are to recognizable. So we need each of you to be our eyes and ears on the ground. You will be responsible for various things like following people, planting tracking devises, or bugs, things like that. When we split you up into groups everyone will get more details on exactly what we need you for. I don’t expect each of you to fill those roles though. We have others thing to do that won’t involve putting anyone in danger because I want to remind everyone what we are doing is extremely dangerous. Not only do these people know about shifters they have weapons that could kill us.Keep that in mind when agreeing to things because I want it said now that no matter what happens no one will be forced to do anything they don’t want to.” Bella told them.

“How would you like us to split into groups White tiger?” A woman asked.

“For tonight everyone relax and tomorrow we will work out who we need for what. I know you want to get started right away but it’s late and I need to eat and get some sleep.I am going to go hunting in my tiger form so anyone who wishes to go with me is more than welcome to.”Bella figured if she could get some of the shifters to go spend time with her then they would become more comfortable with her.

Rosalie held back a frown at Bella’s offer. She had hoped to get some alone time with Bella before they went to bed. That didn’t seem like it was going to happen though because it was obvious some if not all of the shifters were going to join Bella.Leaning close to her mate she whispered. “Aren’t you tired?”

“I am but we need them to get comfortable around me. Letting them go hunting would give them a chance to see that I’m just like them.”Bella whispered back.

“I doubt that.”Rosalie knew that if they saw Bella in tiger form then it would make them think of Bella as even more untouchable.

“I need to speak to Alice before we go outside.” Bella said as she made her way off the stage and walked over to the small vampire.

“Hey Bella, are you really going to go hunting with everyone?” Alice figured Bella would want to spend time with Rosalie since she was away most of the night.

“I am, however I have a favor to ask. You can of course tell me no but I’m hoping you could help me.” Bella said.

“Of course Bella, I’ll help anyway I can.” Alice easily agreed. If Bella was asking her to do things that meant that Alice would have a chance to prove she was worthy of doing more missions.

“I am still going through my growth spirt and my clothing isn’t fitting anymore.I was wondering if you could maybe make me some outfits to get through this until I finish growing. Then I could get some new clothing.” What Bella wasn’t saying was that she had only a few outfits left because Rosalie was prone to shredding them when they were alone.

Alice jumped up and down and clapped. “I am more than willing to help you.Do you have time to come to the tailor’s workroom so I can take some measurements?”

“I can do that when I get finished hunting if that’s alright?” Bella figured it would give Alice a chance to get some of it done before the morning.

“Perfect.I’m going to go pull some fabrics.”Alice excitably raced out of the room.

Jasper chuckled as his wife’s enthusiasm. He was happy that Bella gave her something to do because it kept Alice from getting into trouble.”Do you need us to do anything?”

“No, we aren’t going to be out long then we are going to go to bed. In the morning we’ll get everyone together.” Bella told him.

“Alright then I’ll see you in the morning.” Jasper said.

Rosalie took Bella’s hand in her own and dragged her away fro the group.”Why are you having Alice make you clothes? We can easily buy some.”

“I am having her make some my love because you are keen on destroying them when the mood strikes. You should actually ask her to make you some also.” Bella told her.

If Rosalie could blush she would have. “I didn’t really think of that.”

“I don’t mind but I would like to have something to cover my body and I only have three pairs of pants left.” Bella said.

“I’m going to have to get some clothing also aren’t I?” Rosalie hadn’t really noticed her wardrobe but now that she thought about it she really didn’t have that many outfits left. She brought more clothes than Bella did but she destroyed at least half of them since they had been at the estate. “I’ll get online tomorrow and order some stuff. You will need new underwear and bras and I don’t want Alice anywhere near them.”

“Of course dear.” Bella wasn’t going to point out that Alice wasn’t going to see her in them. If it upset Rosalie she would go along with what her imprint wanted. Sighing she led Rosalie outside to go change. She really wished there where more hours in the day. It would be nice to be able to spend more time with Rosalie. She quickly shot down that idea. If there were more hours then she would be busy filling them and would be away from Rosalie longer. Hopefully this whole situation would be taken care of quickly because then they could finally go on that vacation they had been planning. Clothing optional of course.
