Sight Unseen 13

“Shit, she’s making a run for it.” Alice told Rosalie and Emmett from her seat in the passenger side of Emmett’s jeep. The trio had been waiting for Bella to finish delivering the puppy to the dead person’s wife. Alice personally hadn’t heard anything but a woman sobbing for the last ten minutes but figured Bella hadn’t said anything because she was consoling the woman. Now she knew the real reason was because Bella had snuck out of the back door and was now on the run.

“What?!” Rosalie screeched. “I thought you said that she was going to give us a chance to explain.”

“Well she really said that Bella would just get in the jeep with us not that she would give us a chance to explain.” Emmett told her.

Rosalie growled at her brother.” It doesn’t matter, what matters is what changed?”

“I don’t know. She had been planning on going with us the last time I checked then all of a sudden I saw her in the forest somewhere.” Alice had been so sure of Bella’s decision because her vision had stayed the same for so long.

“Well now we have to find her. Where did you see her?” Rosalie would worry about why Bella changed her mind later. Now she wanted to focus on finding her mate.

“Somewhere in the forest. She was running through a bunch of trees. I think she is being guided because she is running really fast and isn’t second guessing which direction she was going.” Alice said.

“Ok, Alice you and I will go after her. She will definitely be going to her house to collect the things she needs to go on the run with. Emmett you drive the jeep to her house and wait for her there. That way if she makes it there before us you can make sure she doesn’t leave.” Rosalie hoped they caught up with Bella before she got home but wanted to have a back up plan in case they didn’t.

Emmet was disappointed he wasn’t going to be going after Bella but he was just happy he was able to help.” How should I keep her there?”

“Don’t touch her but block her from going into her house maybe.” Rosalie didn’t want Emmett to put his hands on Bella but wanted him to stop her from leaving.

“Got it.” Emmett moved to get into the driver’s seat, driving off as soon as Alice and Rosalie were out of the car.

“What direction is she running?” Rosalie asked.

“Follow me.” Alice told her as she took off running to try and figure out where Bella was.

“She went this way.”Rosalie said as she picked up Bella’s scent almost immediately when they entered the forest.

Before Alice could respond she heard the sound of footsteps rushing through the forest. “There she is.”

“Bella.” Rosalie called out.

“Fuck.” Bella stumbled at the sound of Rosalie’s voice and went tumbling to the ground only to be caught by a hard body holding her upright. She struggled to get out of Rosalie’s arms but it was like she was being held in a vise grip. “Let me go.”

“I can’t do that.” Rosalie said.

“What do you people want from me?” Bella was afraid. Very, very afraid. She couldn’t figure out why this family was after her. She hadn’t done anything to garner their attention. It didn’t make sense.

“We want to talk to you.” Alice told her.

“Well I don’t want to talk to you.” Bella couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t leave her alone.

“That’s to bad because whether you want to or not we are going to talk.” Rosalie hated this whole situation. She wanted to be romancing her mate not restraining her.

“Fine then just let me go.” Bella wasn’t stupid enough to make a run for it. These two would just follow her and they seemed to be a lot faster than she was.

“Promise not to run?” Rosalie didn’t trust Bella to not just run as soon as she got the chance. Not that Bella would get very far but Rosalie was worried the girl would hurt herself if she tried.

“I wouldn’t get very far.” Bella grumbled.

Still not trusting Bella fully Rosalie slowly released Bella staying close to her incase she tried to take off.” Now will you at least listen to us.”

“It’s not like I have a choice.” Bella said.

“We wanted to talk to you about why we have been following you.” Alice regretted her words as soon as she saw Bella stiffen.

“I knew it!! You guys are some crazy psycho stalkers and now that you have me alone in the woods you are going to kill me.” Bella was mad at herself for not texting her father. Now she was going to die and nobody would know who did it.

“We’re not going to kill you.” Rosalie was appalled that Bella would think so. Then again if she was in Bella’s shoes she would probably think the same thing.

“Then what do you want with me? Why can’t you just leave me alone?” Bella asked.

“We just want to help you.” Alice told her.

“How could you possibly help me?The way I see it is the only help I need is to get away from you.” Bella wasn’t going to be fooled by these people. The only help they would want to give her was a ride to the mental hospital.

“We know you talk to dead people.” Rosalie blurted out.

Bella suddenly felt even more afraid. “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“Bella we aren’t going to tell anyone.” Alice promised. “The reason we searched you out is because I have a gift as well. I have visions of the future.”

“Sure you do.” Bella didn’t believe that for a second.

“I do and it’s because of my gift I have been having visions of you for the past two years. I know all about the crimes you solved and the boy you saved.” Alice told her.

“How can I be sure you are telling the truth?” Bella wanted to believe Alice. She desperately wanted to believe her but she hadn’t protected herself this long by taking anything she heard at face value.

“At our home we have a wall filled with all the cases you have been involved with for the past two years. Newspaper clippings, police reports, coroner reports, you name it we have researched it trying to find you.” Alice was encouraged by the look of interest on Bella’s face. “Come to our house and we will show you everything.”

Bella wasn’t sure how comfortable she was with that. “How about you take some pictures and send them to me.”

“Coming to our house would be easier.” Rosalie would prefer taking Bella to their house. It would give her a chance to talk to her mate more.

“Yeah for you to kill me.” Bella mumbled.

“We aren’t going to kill you but we can have pictures taken and sent to you.” Alice told her.

“Good, now can I go home?” Bella still wasn’t comfortable around these two and wanted to get away from them. Even if Alice did have the ability to see the future that didn’t mean it was ok to spy on Bella.

“How about we take you.” Rosalie offered. They still hadn’t gotten to talk to Bella about being vampires and she wasn’t sure how they were going to tell her without freaking Bella out.

“I think I can make it on my own.” Bella said.

“No I insist. It isn’t safe for you to be walking out here by yourself.” Rosalie wasn’t going to leave Bella alone in the woods where who knows what could happen to her.

Bella tried to think of a way to ditch Alice and Rosalie but realized that giving in would get her home quicker. She could always not invite them in when they got there. “Fine.”

“Thanks Bella.” As they began walking with Bella Rosalie lowered her voice to a whisper only Alice could hear. “When do we tell her about being vampires?”

“Not now. She will freak out and nothing we can say will calm her down.” Alice whispered back.

Rosalie wasn’t happy to hear that. “What are we going to do about the Denali then?”

“That vision hasn’t changed.” Alice told her.

“So we tell her before they come?” Rosalie figured that would be the only way for Bella to be conformable with their cousins.

Alice shook her head. “No we can not tell her. No matter how we go about it she will freak out. She will not be comfortable around us if we tell her.”

“What the hell are we supposed to do then?” Rosalie didn’t want Bella around the Denali without some sort of claim on the girl but it was looking like that wasn’t going to happen.

“I don’t know but we can not tell her.” Alice said.

Instead of replying Rosalie just sighed in frustration. She needed to tell Bella what was going on before the Denali came. Rosalie didn’t want Bella to be upset that she was lied to by Rosalie. She had already messed up the start of their relationship. Stalking Bella and spying on her wasn’t a good move and Rosalie was somewhat ashamed of herself for thinking it was a good idea. Hopefully she would get a chance to explain her reasoning for doing it. Once Bella understood vampire behavior she would understand Rosalie’s need to keep her safe. Well Rosalie hoped Bella would understand. If not then Rosalie would have to come up with a way to get Bella to forgive her. Rosalie wasn’t looking forward to all the groveling she would no doubt have to do.

If I were Bella I wouldn't be in the mood for her either. They basically act like Edward in your other stories

Akame Monster
