“I think she is waking up.” Rosalie heard a male voice say as she was slowly coming back to consciousness. Her body felt uncomfortably hot and as she shifted she was surprised with how wet her skin felt. Her body was almost sticking to the blankets and it made her feel slimly. It was as she felt a hand in her own and heard Bella speak that she remembered what had happened.

“Rose I know you’re confused but I need you to open your eyes.” Bella coxed sighing in relief when Rosalie open her eyes and she was met with the familiar blue she remembered from all those years ago. “There she is.”

Rosalie took a moment to take stock of her body. The warmth although uncomfortable was a nice surprise as she didn’t remember what it felt like to be warm. Investigating further she rested her hand over her heart and felt tears run down her face as she felt it beating. Quickly reaching up to wipe the tears away she looked to a smiling Bella in astonishment. “My heart beats and I can cry.”

“You can do a lot of things you couldn’t do before but I bet the first thing you want to do is have a shower.” Bella knew that the sweat was unpleasant for a vampire after the change and the first thing most did in their new life was bathe.

“That would be nice. I feel gross.” Rosalie pulled the blankets away from her skin and was stunned by the pinkness of it. She reached out her hand and pinched her own thigh only to be surprised with how soft she was now. “Bella I’m human.”

“What you didn’t think I could actually do it?” Bella asked in mock offense.

Rosalie smiled. “I didn’t mean it like that. It’s a lot to take in.”

“What’s the first thing you want to do?” Sebastian asked. He was relieved that Rosalie had finally woken up because even with his mother’s assurances he had been worried.

“I think Bella’s suggestion of a shower would be the best thing to do first.” Rosalie really wanted to feel clean. She hoped that even though she was human now that she never would sweat as much as she had while she was changing.

“Sebastian I need to help Rosalie. Why don’t you go out and buy all your favorite foods and bring them back here. Rosalie hasn’t eaten human food in almost a hundred years so she won’t know what she likes.” Bella figured it would be nice for Sebastian to have something to do while Rosalie had some privacy to get comfortable with the changes.

“I can do that.” Sebastian was already going through a list of places he wanted Rosalie to try. “Just wait until you try sushi that’s my favorite. Mom doesn’t let me eat it as much as I like though.”

“That’s because you have no self control and have eaten yourself sick numerous times.” Bella reminded him.

Sebastian blushed. “I’ll just head out now.”

“Thank you Sebastian.” Rosalie called out to his retreating back.

“Alright let’s get you showered.” Bella pulled the blankets off of Rosalie and held out her hand to help her off the bed. “Your balance is going to be off as well as most of your senses. You are going to have to relearn how to use your body just like you did when you became a vampire.”

Rosalie tried to stand on her own and fell into Bella after trying to take her first step.” I feel so weak now.”

“Your muscles haven’t gotten used yet. Once you walk around for a bit you will feel stronger. It will take a few days though.” Bella told her as she led her into the bathroom. Sitting Rosalie on the toilet Bella started the shower and began helping Rosalie undress.

“I feel like an infant. I don’t have the strength or energy to make a move on you like I was planning on as soon I woke up.” Rosalie wasn’t sure if she even had the energy to stand in the shower with how tired her body felt.

Bella smirked. “You already have plans to seduce me?”

“I had started making plans to seduce you the moment we locked eyes at your concert. I just haven’t gotten the chance to make my move yet.” Rosalie admitted.

“Well I look forward to experiencing some these moves of yours. However you won’t feel up for anything other than relaxing for at least two days. On the third day you should feel well enough to rejoin society but you will have to take it slow.” Bella told her.

“Will I have to worry about gaining muscle mass?” Rosalie really worried about if she would gain weight because if Sebastian was going to be as enthusiastic about food as she thought he was then Rosalie was going to instantly gain 20lbs.

Bella shook her head. “Your body may be human but you are immortal now. Your natural form will always be how you look right now.”

“Can I change my appearance like you and Sebastian now?” Rosalie asked.

“Not yet. You need to get used to your body before I give you any abilities like that. You do have the shield though. From my experience it is very helpful after the change to keep you from injuring yourself.” Bella had to heal many injuries after she had changed vampires to humans as they were getting used to their bodies again. It was why she gave Rosalie the shield right away. She didn’t want her beloved to get hurt.

Rosalie held onto Bella as she led her to the shower. She jumped when she felt the warmth of the water against her skin. When she was a vampire she knew that water could be different temperatures but she never felt some hot enough to feel the difference. Now though she just took a moment to marvel at the feeling of the warmth seeping into her skin. She now knew why people said a hot shower was good to relax your muscles because her entire body felt a lot better under the spray of water.

“Lean your head back.” Bella kept one arm around Rosalie’s middle to hold her up while using the other to shampoo Rosalie’s hair.

“That feels so good.” Rosalie moaned as she felt her scalp tingle under Bella’s fingers.

“If you think that feels good just wait until I give you a full body message after you eat.” Bella said as she used the shower head to rinse the shampoo out of Rosalie’s hair.

“I don’t think I have ever had a massage before.” Rosalie couldn’t remember everything about her human life but was pretty sure she never had a massage.

“That’s because we never had enough time alone for me to give you one.” Bella rubbed some conditioner on Rosalie’s hair and then grabbed a washcloth and some body wash.

“Now that I think about it we usually used the little bit of alone time we had to get naked with each other. Not that I am complaining mind you. I have very fond memories of time spent alone with you.” Out of all of Rosalie’s human memories, Rosalie had stubbornly hung on to her time with Bella. She thought about her so often that it would have been impossible for those memories to ever fade.

“Well now that we have eternity together I dare say that we will have as much alone time as you want.” Bella smiled when Rosalie groaned as she scrubbed her foot.

“Do you think I can get a foot rub when we finish this?” How had Rosalie never known that having your feet rubbed felt so good? She vowed to herself right then that she would make Bella give her a foot rub everyday for the rest of their lives.

“Of course you can have a foot rub when this is over sweetheart.” Bella easily agreed. She loved to touch Rosalie. It didn’t matter where she just liked to have her hands on Rosalie’s body.

“You better keep your movements quick if you don’t want to start anything you can’t finish.” Rosalie said as Bella reached the apex of her thighs with the washcloth.

Bella chuckled but hurried her movements. “Although I wish we could start something not only are you not in any shape for anything, our son will be back soon with your food.”

“Our son?” Rosalie asked.

“Of course. Sebastian has always thought of you as his other mother. I mean if that’s ok. I don't want to make you uncomfortable.” Bella should have talked to Rosalie about what role she wanted to play in Sebastian’s life not just assigned her one.

Rosalie thought about what kind of relationship she wanted to have with Sebastian. Although she hadn’t been around him that much she was fond of him. “I like Sebastian but we will have to work up to me thinking I’m a parental figure to him.”

“That’s perfectly alright. I will warn you however like I said he sees you as a mother figure. If he makes you uncomfortable with that role let me know and I will speak to him.” Bella knew Sebastian would be devastated if Rosalie didn’t want to be his mother but he would respect Rosalie’s choice.

“He won’t make me uncomfortable. I just need to get my head around the fact that we have a son. A grown son I didn’t get the chance to raise with you.” Rosalie figured that was what the real problem was. She didn’t have a claim to Sebastian like Bella did. That could come with time though.

“We will take it slow. There is no pressure for us to be an instant family right away.” Bella used the shower head to rinse Rosalie’s body off. “Your done. Let me help you out and get you a towel.”

“Thank you sweetheart.” Rosalie clung tightly to Bella as she led her out of the shower stall. She felt a little less wobbly but still not a hundred percent yet.

Bella used a towel to dry Rosalie off then herself. Once done she put herself and Rosalie into hotel bathrobes and led her to the couch in the living room. “Luckily this room has two bedrooms because the bed you changed on is wet with all of your sweat. We will have to strip it and then have new linens brought tomorrow.”

“When you helped the others change did you help them with aftercare as well?” Rosalie wondered how far Bella went when she had helped the others.

Bella nodded. “I helped each one. Not only with aftercare but I helped them set up new identities if they needed them and gave them money and set up bank accounts for them to be able to survive.”

“That’s really nice of you.” Rosalie said as she stretched her legs out over Bella as they sat on the couch.

Bella took one of Rosalie’s feet in her hand and began rubbing. “Why don’t you close your eyes and try to nap before Sebastian comes back. It will be good for you.”

“I need to contact my family to let them know I’m alright and won’t be coming home.” Rosalie said even though she felt her eyes closing involuntarily. She couldn’t remember a time her body had felt so relaxed.

“You can do that while you’re eating.” Bella said to an already sleeping Rosalie. She chuckled as she watched the blond’s mouth open and a snore escaped. Rosalie snored when she was human before and Bella was delighted that that habit had come back. She wondered what other of Rosalie’s human traits would come back. She didn’t know for sure but was excited that she would get the chance to find out.
