Every Time It's You 30

“So this is it.” Kate said as she swung Isabella’s sword around. Against the protest of Tanya Isabella had been nice enough to let Kate use it during the battle.With her were Isabella, Rosalie and Emmett standing in the tree line invisible from all by Isabella’s shield. The Cullens along with Tanya, Bella, Eleazar and Carmen where loosely spread out across one end of the clearing looking like a bunch of disorganized amateurs. The wolves were spilt up on both sides of the field while the Irish coven with Irina and Garrett were hidden in the tree line behind the Cullens. The plan was for the newborn army and Victoria to believe that the only vampires they were fighting were the ones they could see so that they would get over confident and rush them.The rest of the vampires and the wolves fighting against the army would move to box the newborns in.In theory the plan was brilliant, Kate however was worried something would go wrong. She trusted Isabella but Kate still thought the woman was somewhat insane so it was hard to put her full faith in the plan.

“Yup.” Emmett replied. He was beyond excited. He finally was able to get to use his gloves and hoped that the moves Isabella had taught him would be as cool as they were in practice. If he could actually smash a vampires head in then Emmett thought this whole fight would be worth it.

“Here they come.” Rosalie and the others watched the group of newborns rush into the field with Victoria following slowly behind them. They had used bagged human blood to drench the grass and trees to make a trail to funnel the vampires to exactly where they wanted them. It seemed like that plan was working because instead of showing any restraint the newborns were just rushing into the clearing trying to get to the only human there which was Bella.

“Hold.” Isabella said not wanting their group to reveal themselves just yet. They had a plan and if they didn’t wait for all of the newborns and Victoria to make it to the clearing then all this preparation would be for nothing. As soon as she was sure no more vampires were coming she lit the rope that was laying on the ground a few feet in front of her setting off the signal.

“That is so cool.” Kate said when the flame from the rope spread across the clearing lighting up piles of brush and rags soaked in gasoline creating a line of fire. When Isabella had told them about the trap she wanted to set Kate had thought it wouldn’t make much of a difference but seeing the 6 ft tall flames Kate realized that the crazy woman was actually a genius. Kate made a note to talk to Isabella after this was over about other traps that could be used during a battle because she was sure this wasn’t the only one that Isabella knew about.

“Let’s go.” Isabella dropped her shield from the group and rushed towards the fight. She disabled three newborns before they even realized there was any kind of threat coming from behind. The plan for her was to get close to Tanya and Bella to protect the human and interfere when needed. Two more vampires down and she was right in front of Bella pulling her close behind her. “I’m here.”

Tanya sighed in relief as she ripped off the head of the newborn trying to get to Bella. She was happy the plan had worked out so far and Isabella was easily able to make it to her and Bella.“Thank god.”

“Remember stay close.” Isabella told Bella.

“I know.” There was no way Bella was going to move away from Isabella. The vampire was the only sure fire way she had of being safe.

Isabella scanned the battlefield looking for any weak spots where she would have to step in. Eleazar was being protected by Carmen, Esme and Carlisle while scanning for gifted vampires speaking into a radio to the various allies that could properly take them on. Riley had told them about a vampire that could make you black out and as Isabella watched Siobhan rip the head off a confused vampire with black eyes Isabella figured that the woman was taken care of. Isabella was actually very impressed with the way the others were taking care of the newborns and focused her sights on Victoria. The red head was obviously frustrated and was trying to figure out an escape plan. “Tanya take over. I need to get to Victoria before she leaves.”

“Go.” Tanya didn’t want Bella to be left unprotected but knew that if Victoria got away all of this would be for nothing.

“Rosalie with me.” Isabella called out to the blond as she rushed by her.

Rosalie finished the cut on the vampire she was fighting’s head and rushed after Isabella without even thinking twice about it. She knew that if Isabella needed her it was for something important. As she was rushing after Isabella Rosalie took a moment to take stock of herself. She hadn’t been injured at all and had been decimating any vampire who had come close to her. She had even done as Isabella had told her and used her gift to make the newborns act as bodyguards for her. It allowed her to take on more vampires and her kill count was now up to five. “What do you need?”

“Victoria is trying to get away. I need us to stop her.” Isabella slowed down enough for Rosalie to be near her and made them invisible again. “She is an older vampire and I don’t know her fighting capabilities.I’m using my shield so she can’t detect us.I need you to come at her from behind and take off her head while I distract her.”

“Got it.” Rosalie was touched that Isabella would trust her with something so important and made herself focus on the task at hand. She wasn’t going to let Isabella down. Rosalie was going to show her her trust in her was worth it.

“Get ready.” Isabella moved from behind Victoria and let down her shield causing the red head to jump in surprise.

“What the hell. Who are you? The girl is still human and yet you look….” Was all Victoria got out before Rosalie had used the cross cut move Isabella had taught her to slice off Victoria’s head.

“That was easier than I thought.”Emmett said as he came running up to Rosalie and began checking her over for injuries.

“I’m fine Emmett.” Rosalie said realizing the battle was over. It hadn’t even taken a half an hour to take care of all the newborns and Victoria. “How is every one else?”

“I don’t know about the wolves but we have no casualties.” Emmett told her.

“That’s good to hear. Now let’s get everyone together so we can do a debrief and I can go home.” Isabella was happy this was finally over. She had been away from home for to long and missed her mate and her Rosalie greatly. She promised herself unless she was pulled somewhere unexpectedly she wasn’t doing any traveling for a while. Not even for the queens. She deserved a vacation.

“I really wish you could stay longer.” Rosalie said sadly.

“I will miss you but it is time for me to return to my beloved and my Rosalie. The sooner we talk to the others the sooner I can do that.”Isabella would miss Rosalie but it was time to go home.

“Hey did you guys see how great I was?!!” Kate excitedly yelled as she ran up to the trio.

“I was busy during the fight but I thought I saw the body of a vampire sliced in half.” Emmett said.

Kate smiled brightly.” That was me. I did that awesome spin move Isabella taught me and sliced him right across the stomach. You should have seen it. Even with only his head attached to his torso he was still able to move.He was flapping his arms around screaming. I didn’t give him chance to get back to his lower body though and chopped his head off.I didn’t even use my gift that much because I was so focused on slicing and dicing people.”

“Our group had little problem as well.” Carlisle said as they walked up to the spot that he was starting a bon fire. Some of the others were already throwing body parts into it. “Eleazar was able to point out each of the gifted vampires and they were taken care of by those that he deemed were the best to face them.”

“How did you guys do?” Isabella asked Siobhan.

“I was able to use my strength to defeat the enemy a lot easier than I had been able to before so I thank you for that. We did not have any casualties and I believe Maggie was able to use her gift as you instructed her how to do.” Siobhan told her.

“I was. With Irina’s help I got three of them to switch sides.” Maggie had been happy that her gift worked as well as Isabella said it would. She had her doubts but with the moves she and her mate had been shown and the practice they had Maggie and Irina had little problem dealing with the enemy that had made it to them.

“How did your people make out?” Isabella asked Sam who had approached in his human form wearing a pair of shorts.

“We did good. A lot better than we thought and minus a few bruises we had no serious casualties or injuries.All thanks to you.” Sam had no doubt that without Isabella the wolves wouldn’t have been that successful. Even with the warning fighting an army of vampires was a lot harder than he and his pack thought it would be.

“That’s good to hear.” Isabella was happy that no one got hurt. It meant that the time when she would rather have been relaxing was well spent.”Now we just have to clean up this mess and head back to the Cullen’s house so I can get my stuff and go home.”

“Would it be alright if my pack came with you as well to say a proper goodbye. The ones in wolf form need to check in and get changed but would like to see you off.” A few of the wolves had asked Sam to ask if they could say goodbye to Isabella and Sam didn’t see any problems with asking.

“That would be fine with me but it’s up to the Cullens.” Isabella didn’t see the big deal but knew that the wolves and the Cullens had a treaty she didn’t want to accidentally break.

“That’s fine with us Sam.” Carlisle told him. He hoped that after working so closely together that the relationship between his coven and the wolves would improve. He would have to thank Isabella before she left for bringing the two groups together and the work she did to make the wolves trust them because he had no doubt that without Isabella the wolves would have probably made a move to eliminate his coven and the rest of them when they had a chance.

“Good now let’s get this all cleaned up.” Isabella was already planning on how she was going to spend the first few days home with Tanya. It was tradition that she give her love the first few days home to spend together. Rosalie would get the next days after that as it was considered being her mate gave Tanya priority. Isabella didn’t fight it as often Tanya felt pushed aside for her relationship with Rosalie. Regardless whether that was true or not didn’t matter. What mattered was getting home and seeing her favorite people. Knowing that wouldn’t get done until all the bodies were burned Isabella began helping the others.
