“Do you think we have a bond?” Rosalie asked Isabella. After Isabella had spent some time with everyone showing them how to use her sword she had politely asked for some time alone. Rosalie was happy that Isabella included her in her alone time and easily agreed to spend time with her in her garage. Rosalie was looking over the hover bike with the manual asking Isabella questions on certain technology she didn’t understand while Isabella was going through her digital music library picking out different songs to listen to on Rosalie’s stereo. Rosalie felt completely relaxed and decided to bring up the question that had been bugging her since the first time Isabella had visited.

“I’m surprised you didn’t ask me that already. Although I was expecting Tanya to ask first.” Isabella replied.

“Does that mean we do have a bond?” Rosalie asked.

Isabella nodded. “I have some level of bond with each Tanya and Rosalie I meet. However you and I have a stronger bond then I do with the Rosalies in other dimensions. Not as strong as the one with my Rosalie but still rather strong.”

“That’s why I was so depressed when you left last time and when you came back it felt like a weight was lifted when I saw you.” Rosalie said.

“I didn’t realize it was affecting you so much. I’m sorry.” Isabella was so used to the ache of being away from her bond mates she never really thought about what the others she interacted with had felt. Then again the bond with this Rosalie was a lot stronger.

“It’s not your fault.I just wondered.” Rosalie was glad that she actually had a reason for what she felt around Isabella.” Do you think that because our bond is so strong that when she is changed my bond to Bella will be strong as well?”

“I’m not sure. I’ve never went back to a dimension where that Rosalie met a human Bella after she was changed.” Isabella thought about it for a moment. “Then again like I said you and I have a very strong bond. I too missed you more than the others when I left. I had actually been planning on coming back to visit you soon.”

“You were?” Rosalie was pleased to hear that.

“Yes I was. That’s why I made your daggers and Emmett’s gloves as soon as I got back. I had a feeling I was going to get pulled here again but if I didn’t then I was going to go home for a couple weeks after I left the dimension I got pulled from and come back here.” Isabella told her.

“Does that mean when you leave this time you will definitely be coming back again?” Rosalie hoped she would.

“I would like to but it would nice not to have all these people here next time. I know it’s exciting to talk to someone like me who sees things that others don’t and knows things that are wondrous to others but I get the same reception everywhere I go. Well once I convince them to believe me. After that it’s all questions and asking what I can do for them. Some actually demand I do things and those aren’t the places I ever return to voluntarily.” Bella said.

Rosalie suddenly felt very guilty. She had acted like those people. “I’m sorry Isabella. We have been no better than that. Me especially. I have used our bond to get you to agree to a lot of things you didn’t want to do.”

“I don’t mind doing things for you. I even don’t mind helping the others. It’s just that sometimes it’s a little much. You all know each other and see each other as family. Whereas I don’t know any of you and you are strangers. So doing something for you who I have bond with or for Tanya and Bella is no big deal. It just gets a little too much when people like Carlisle and Eleazar try to monopolize my time. I don’t usually get a lot of down time. Even at home I have obligations to the queens, my mate and my Rosalie. I love them all, it’s just annoying when I have a chance to take a break and instead I have people pestering me for things.” Isabella explained.

“So when you go to other dimensions people react the same way we have?” Rosalie hadn’t really thought about how trying it was for Isabella to deal with the same thing over and over again. It was surprising she didn’t just snap at everyone constantly.

“Most of the time it’s worse. People seem to think that because I’m in their dimension that I have to follow their laws and respect those in charge. I even had one of the kings in a particularly dangerous dimension try and thrown me in the dungeon to be tortured because I refused to use my gift of a shield to kill his rivals.” Isabella said.

“What?” Rosalie exclaimed. “How did you get out of that situation?”

“I turned myself invisible and ran from their stronghold. That was a messed up place though. I quickly took care of the threat against Tanya and their Isabella and left. I didn’t wait around to train any of them except Isabella with her shield.” Isabella shivered thinking of all the horrors she saw in that dimension.

“I can’t imagine all the things you have had to deal with.” Rosalie had initially thought it would be fun to travel with Isabella and see new places but now she was learning it wasn’t always some fun adventure. Isabella had to deal with some very dangerous places.

“It scares my mate and my Rosalie every time I leave. You can’t see it because I keep myself covered but my body is covered in scars. I have come close to losing my life more times than I care to think of.” Isabella said.

“Have you ever actually tried to bring someone with you?” Rosalie asked.

Isabella nodded. “Once I got the hang of it I tried to bring my Rosalie. I left and she just stayed in the spot she was standing in my dimension.”

“That’s too bad.” Rosalie wasn’t even thinking about the missed opportunity she had from not going with Isabella but the fact that Isabella didn’t have the added help of someone going with her.

“It is what it is.”Isabella told her. “Some times I get really down and question why I was cursed to be the one to do this but then I think about how it feels to be away from my mate and how I don’t want anyone else to have to feel that or I think of the happiness I bring to the couples I unite or the people I save. That’s what keeps me going.”

“I don’t know if I could do it.” Rosalie didn’t think she was strong enough. Not only physically but mentally.

“I still can’t figure out why I was chosen. I know there are probably other Isabellas that would do a better job but for some reason fate chose me.” Isabella had thought about it for a long time and could never find the answer. Nor could anyone else she asked.

“I think you do a good job.” Rosalie said.

“Thank you.” Isabella replied.

“Do you really think that all of us are going to make it out of this fight alive?” Rosalie asked.

Isabella nodded. “I have no doubt with the things I’ve taught all of you and the wolves that you will be fine. If someone gets into trouble then I will step in of course but I don’t think I will have to.”

“I know I feel more comfortable having you there with us.” Rosalie told her.

“I could easily handle the problem myself but this would be a good way for each of you to learn how to take care of yourselves.” Isabella said. “I’m not always going to be around to save you. I only come if Tanya and Bella have a direct threat against them. If they or any of you decide to fight anyone then you are all on your own.”

“Knowing that makes me even more grateful that you were willing to help us.” Rosalie had watched all the progress everyone had made throughout training and knew that Isabella had improved everyone’s abilities. If it wasn’t for her Rosalie knew they would have had no chance against the newborns.

Isabella just shrugged and went back to looking at music. “Who is Tom Jones?”

“He’s a singer from England which is across the ocean from us.” Rosalie told her. Realizing the conversation was over she went back to the manual and the hover bike. She was happy that Isabella confirmed their bond and promised to come back to visit. Rosalie would just have to figure out a way for them to spend time together without the family around. Maybe they could make a plan for when Isabella came back so that she only alerted Rosalie. She knew her family would be upset if they weren’t told but after this talk Rosalie realized that Isabella needed a break. So if she came back Rosalie was going to plan something fun for the two of them to do together. Maybe she could use one of the vials that made it so they could go out in the sun. That would open up a lot of possibilities.
