“How’s it going?” Rosalie asked the group of vampires that included Jasper, Charolette, Alice and Peter and the group of shifters that had been helping them test out the tactical gear Rosalie had brought them. She had reached out to the alphas of the packs she knew of and had the shifters staying at the estate reach out to their own to see if they could send people to help out. From the initial response she got Rosalie expected them to be overwhelmed with shifters. She had already made plans to have Charolette make a shopping list so they had enough food to feed everyone. Bella had mentioned that Gene’s tribe was known for helping out and since they knew of the existence of the supernatural Rosalie figured they were the best ones to run the errand.

“It’s going.” Peter said.

“Have you made any progress figuring out what they are made of?” Rosalie asked.

Alice shook her head. “No we can’t figure that out but if I had to guess I think it’s a combination of materials that they somehow blended together.”

“Were you able to find any weak spots?” Rosalie didn’t like hearing they didn’t know what it was made out of. It would be easier to fight against if they knew what they were dealing with.

“These things are pretty indestructible. They even found a way to reinforce the seams so they aren’t easily accessible. The only real way to get them out of the suit is if you were lucky enough to knock them down and somehow get to the flap covering the toe where the zipper starts and unzip them.” Peter told her.

Rosalie sighed. She had hoped for better news but wasn’t actually surprised that they didn’t have any for her. “So you haven’t been able to get through the material at all?”

“Nope we have had each type of shifters we have here try to destroy them in both their human form and animal form and they weren’t able to even tear the material. Then we tried to tear it, bite it and even punch through it but it still withheld.” Charolette had been incredibly impressed with the outfit and was hoping that Bella and Rosalie would let her keep one.

“So that means we won’t be able to alter them to make them fit us better?” Rosalie asked Alice.

“Unfortunately not.” Alice had felt bad she hadn’t been able to help but had been happy Rosalie and Bella had included her on such an important project. She figured if she could keep proving herself to be useful they would include her in more tasks. She had been jealous that Emmett was given something top secret to do. Alice was sure it was something amazing and hoped they would trust her with something as well.

“Well we have a bunch that you guys can try out and see if any fit you. They could be helpful in the future.” Although appalled with what they found in the warehouse building Rosalie was glad that they found so many weapons and tactical gear. Bella hadn’t had a chance to go through all of it to find out what it was but even if it wasn’t useful to them it was taking away resources from the bad guys.

“So you are going to let us use them?” Jasper asked.

“I don’t see why not. We might need help with the fight to come and you all being outfitted in something that could protect you would be the smart idea.” What Rosalie wasn’t saying was that she was worried that they would come in contact with some of the shifters they were making for super soldiers. She wanted her family to stay safe. “I’ll have Bella bring the rest of them back to the White House tonight for you guys to go through.”

“Where is Bella? Actually where is Emmett?” Alice wanted to know where Bella went everyday because she hadn’t seen her in the White House and every night so far she had come out of the woods making it just in time for dinner.

“Bella and Emmett are somewhere you don’t need to worry about. They are both occupied with important tasks and needed not only privacy to do those tasks but quiet and with everyone here that is almost impossible.” Rosalie wasn’t going to tell anyone about the bunker no matter how much she knew each of them wanted to know. It wasn’t safe for anyone if the location was know by all and Rosalie wasn’t going to risk a potential strong hold just to satisfy everyone’s curiosity.

“Lame.” Alice grumbled. She was sure wherever the two of them were it was someplace really cool. She would just ask Bella the next time she saw her. Bella was the most likely out of the couple to give up information.

“Bella won’t tell you either.” Rosalie could easily see where Alice’s thoughts went.

“I wasn’t going to ask her.” Alice denied. Now she would have to figure out a way to get Bella alone so Rosalie couldn’t keep Bella from telling her.

“Sure you weren’t.” Rosalie didn’t believe it for a second. She knew Alice was just going to be more sneaky about. Rosalie would have to warn Bella to be careful when she left so Alice didn’t try to follow her to the bunker.

“Anyway what else is going on?” Jasper wanted to get the attention off of Alice. Rosalie hadn’t put her hands on Alice since they had been there but Jasper figured that was only because Alice had been in the house with her. Now that they were outside and Rosalie didn’t have to worry about damaging anything he knew she wouldn’t hesitate to throw Alice through a few trees if she was annoyed enough.

“We found out some information on who was behind the kidnappings.” Rosalie said noticing the shifters attention she confirmed. “We have names and where they work.”

“How are you going to deal with them.” A man that Rosalie thought was a bear shifter asked.

“I reached out to all of the alphas that we have met along the way and had the shifters here contact the ones they know.”Rosalie said. “We need to do surveillance on the people in charge and neither Bella, myself or my family can do it. Bella has already sent out an inquiry to get the equipment we need so we have to wait for that and the other shifters to come so we can make a plan.”

“We will gladly help with whatever you need.”The shifter said as the rest the group nodded in agreement.

Rosalie smiled. “That’s the basic response I have been getting back so far. I know it’s been hard not to act but we needed to make sure we knew who the people in charge were before we made our move.”

“Do you know who is behind this?” Peter asked.

“Yes, vampires.” Rosalie expected the growling from the shifters at hearing the news. “They are hiding behind legal businesses run by humans to develop their weapons and armor and fund their research.”

“What is their purpose for all this?” Charolette asked.

Rosalie wasn’t sure how much she should tell everyone but if they were going to be involved they would probably overhear it being talked about or needed to know what to focus on. “They are trying to isolate the gene that the shifters have that causes their shifting for the purpose of being able to change regular humans into shifters.”

“Why would they do that?” Alice didn’t understand why someone would want to create shifters.

“They are trying to create super soldiers.” Rosalie told them.Hearing this the group erupted in growls, roars and words of outrage. Even the vampires couldn’t hold back their anger. Rosalie let them have their moment to settle down before she spoke again. “That’s why they were taking the children. They were testing the ones who hadn’t shifted yet with the ones who had. It also seems they were trying to force the first shift but from what Bella told me they weren’t very successful.”

“I’m so glad that Derrick, Gil and Pasty went to find you.” A female shifter said.

“Me too.” Though she hadn’t been happy with the way they had gone about contacting them Rosalie understood their desperation and was glad that Bella and her were able to help. Even with the danger they were facing Rosalie wouldn’t have stood back while innocents were being exploited the way the children had been.

“So now that we know what they are going to do how are we going to stop them?” Alice asked. She wasn’t going to let them leave her behind this time. She knew she could be helpful to catch the bad guys. She just had to figure out how first before she offered her help. If she didn’t Rosalie would shoot her down right away.

“Like I said we are going to run surveillance on the people we know are involved and hopefully learn more about how their operation is run. Our main goal is to find the vampires who are in charge,kill them and shut this whole thing down.” Rosalie told them.

“So you aren’t planning on taking any prisoners?” Jasper asked.

Rosalie shook her head. “Not only do we have no place to put that type of prisoner we can’t risk them escaping and doing this again. Plus it wouldn’t be fair to the shifters to not get their own justice for what happened to their young.”

“Damn right we want justice.” The bear shifter said.

“And you will have it.” Rosalie promised. She wasn’t that keen on killing but after seeing the children in cages and thinking about how she would feel if her own were treated that way Rosalie was more than happy to let the shifters have the chance to avenge their young. This whole experience had also highlighted concerns for when Bella and herself did have their kids. Not only would they be the offspring of the Great White Tiger but they would be part vampire as well and not just any vampire the imprint to the White Tiger who was brought back to life. Many would want to get their hands on them and Rosalie would burn the world to ashes before she would let that happen.

“Thank you and can you please thank the White Tiger for us. When we first came here we were weary of how involved we would be in the fight but are all very glad that the White Tiger and yourself understand our need to punish those who have hurt us and our young.”

Rosalie waved away the shifters thanks. “It is the right to do and I think you’ll find as time goes on that the White Tiger will always choose doing the right thing.”

“So now that we are done with the suits what do you want us to do?” Peter asked.

“I would like Charolette to get some people to help her and make a large shopping list for what we need to feed the influx of shifters I anticipate coming very soon.” Rosalie said.

“I will get some of the shifters to help me and let you know what we need.” Charolette had been enjoying her role as cook for all the guests and was excited to have more come. Ever since meeting Bella and getting the chance to get back parts of the human life she thought lost she had been extremely happy. Even Peter commented on her mood. She would have to find time to thank Bella later because Charolette knew without a doubt that if it wasn’t for Bella she wouldn’t have as many good things going for her as she did now.

“Great,Alice I was wondering if you would help me make travel arraignments for the shifters. I want to price out if it would be cheaper to buy plane tickets or to rent a plane for all of them.” Rosalie was realizing now that having their own plane would make things a lot easier. If she had a chance later she would look into different models and bring them up to Bella. She was used to traveling that way and would probably know more about it than Rosalie. She wasn’t kidding when she told Bella she wanted a brand new plane though. There was no way she was going to get one with a bedroom that had already been used. Even if they did clean it she didn’t like the idea of being intimate with her mate where other people had sex.

“I can do that.” Alice easily agreed.

“Good then let’s get working on our tasks so that we can get everyone here as soon as possible. The longer we wait the more time we give the bad guys to do more damage.” Rosalie said. Hearing murmurs of agreement she made her way back to the White House. She should ask if Bella was ok with her using the study to set up as a base of operation but then scolded herself for even thinking that. Bella would just say that it was her house as much as Bella’s so she had every right to go where ever she wanted to. Rosalie knew that she had to get into that mindset quickly because it would undermined her authority with the shifters if she differed all their questions to Bella and she didn’t want that. It was time she stepped into her role of the White Tiger’s imprint and this was the perfect opportunity to do that.
