Every Time It's You 25

“We’ll take one of everything on the menu.” Kate laughed at the incredulous look the waitress gave Isabella after hearing her order. Isabella had been kind enough to offer traleif to the Denali sisters and their mates so they could go out to dinner to spend some time together.Rosalie and Emmett had decided to join them as well. Isabella had wanted to try seafood so Bella had found a restaurant that had decent reviews. Kate had been so excited to eat human food again she didn’t really care where they ate.

“How about we start with appetizers first.” Tanya could see the waitress wasn’t sure what to make of their group. “Would you feel more comfortable if I give you my credit card so you know that you will be getting payment?”

“Uhm…I guess that would be alright.” The waitress said.

“Good then why don’t you give us one of everything and just bring the dishes out when they are done. It doesn’t matter what order they come out in.” Isabella didn’t care if dessert came first. She just wanted to eat some food.

“Did you see her face? I bet that’s the first time someone asked for everything on the menu.” Emmett was happy that Isabella had included him and Rosalie on this adventure. Even though Isabella had given Rosalie some of the traleif Rosalie had yet to actually use any wanting to save it for something truly special. Emmett had understood her reasoning because Rosalie only had a few vials and they didn’t have a way to get any more.

“That was epic.” Kate said.

“What are you most excited to try?” Bella asked. She hadn’t spent that much time around the Denali because the sisters had been traveling with their mates. That didn’t mean that she felt she didn’t know them. Both Irina and Kate called often and always took time to speak with Bella to get to know her better. Bella actually felt closer to the Denali than she ever did to the Cullens.

“Chocolate brownie topped with ice cream and fudge sauce.” Maggie told her. “When I was human only the wealthy had access to chocolate. It was something that I never even got the chance to see in person.”

“I think I’m excited about lobster. In all the tv shows and movies we watch if someone wants to impress their date they give them lobster for dinner. I want to know what all the fuss is about.” Irina said. She would have liked it if Siobhan and Liam came with them to the restaurant but understood that Isabella didn’t have much of the liquid they needed to drink to eat human food. From what Tanya told them Isabella was using her personal supply to allow them to have this experience. Irina didn’t know why Isabella would do that but figured it had to do with wanting to make Tanya happy.

“I want to see what a steak tastes like. It is made out to be the manly thing to eat so I want to know what makes a cow that important to base someone’s toughness on it.” Garrett said.

“Oh yeah we totally need to try some steaks.” Emmett agreed.

“You know Tanya maybe you should order an extra serving of oysters.” Kate told her.

Knowing she was walking into a trap Tanya asked anyway. “Why would I need to do that?”

“Because I heard that they make humans horny. We all know you need all the help you can get in that department.” Kate teased.

“I don’t need help getting my mate in the mood Kate.” Tanya replied.

“Tanya!!” Bella yelped.

Kate along with the others at the table laughed at the expression on Bella’s face. “Oh man your face.”

“Leave my mate alone Katerina or you won’t like what I do to you.” Tanya warned.

“So Isabella how are the wolves coming along with their training?” Rosalie asked trying to get the attention off of Bella. Since finding out about their familiar bond Rosalie had been feeling protective over the human. She didn’t feel the full extent of the bond but she trusted Isabella. That meant Bella was Rosalie’s sister and if that was what fate decided for them to be then Rosalie was going to treat Bella like a sister.

“It’s going well.” Isabella had been asked to train the wolves on their own. She hadn’t minded because not only did it give her something fun to do but it was important for the wolves to learn to work together without the vampires around so they could completely focus on the training. Even though they were more relaxed around the vampires it was obvious they didn’t trust them.

“I wish they would let us train with them.” Emmett had wanted to see what the wolves could do. All they did during their training was watch.

“They needed some time to get into their rhythm before they can work well around others. I have them to the point that I think they will be able to get out of this fight without any casualties.” Isabella told them.

“Truly?” Maggie asked.

Isabella nodded.“The main problem they had was they weren’t working as a group. They were to focused on what was right in front of them. Sam also wasn’t using the alpha command because he didn’t want to take the wolves’ free will away from them. Once I explained how it would actually help them in the battle he became more comfortable. I think if they continue to train they will be a formable foe to any that cross them.”

“Have you trained a lot of different people?” Garrett was fascinated with Isabella. She did things and went places no-one else did and he envied that. The fact that she was willing to help their group out as much as she did was something he was thankful for. Within only of couple hours of Isabella helping him Garrett had been able to sneak up on most of the vampires staying at the Cullens.

“I have trained more than you could imagine. I don’t like seeing people vulnerable. It wouldn’t be right to not help someone reach their full potential.” Isabella told them.

“Well I’m happy for your help. I would never have believed it if someone told me I could do more than just electrocute one person with my gift. Now I can get it to cover my whole body and have made it spread about a foot in front of me.” Kate had been skeptical when Isabella told her how her gift actually worked but as she had seen results almost as soon as she started training she had been practicing for at least an hour everyday. She couldn’t wait for the fight with the newborns to see what kind of damage she could do when she was able to use it without worrying about if she hurt someone.

“I didn’t even know I had a gift.” Rosalie said.

“Learning that I could do more with my gift than just being a lie detector has been nice. I didn’t really realize how much of an impact it could have making someone believe whatever you wanted them to.” When Maggie had explained to Siobhan and Liam how she was able to get Riley to tell them what they wanted to know they had been stunned. None of them had realized that Maggie’s gift could be used like that. Both of them had been happy that Isabella had shown them as it was not only helpful to know but it made their coven that much more powerful. She had also told them about how Isabella had tracked the vampire right to where he was and both of them wanted to ask Isabella to teach them how to do it. It had been discussed many times but with each new thing Isabella taught them the Irish coven knew that they were becoming one of the most powerful covens in the world. The fact that they were also aligned with the Denali by a mate bond just added to that power. It was beginning to make them nervous because none of them wanted the attention of the Volturi. Even if they would have a good chance of defending themselves against the vampire rulers and their guard.

“What was the coolest dimension you ever visited?” Emmett asked.

“If you asked my Kate she would say the one with the killer robots. I however liked the one with the aquatic world with the merpeople.” Isabella said.

“Merpeople. You’re talking about mermaids.” Isabella nodded leaving Kate even more flabbergasted. “Like people with tails that live underwater?”

“Yes. They have a very interesting culture. To even earn the right to speak to one you have to offer them a gift. I gave them a flower from a different dimension that I had initially intended to bring home to my beloved. I had been pulled to that dimension before I got a chance to do so however.” Tanya hadn’t minded when Isabella had told her about it though. The gifts the merpeople had given Isabella to take home more than made up for the flower.

“What was wrong in that dimension?” Irina asked.

“Their Tanya had been kidnapped by a rival coven. They had already sent Tanya’s coven her hand as proof they would hurt her if they didn’t get what they wanted.” Isabella told them.

“What did they want?” Rosalie asked.

Isabella sighed. “It was all very silly. They simply wanted a relic that was rumored to grant those who owned it with invincibility.”

“Did it actually work?” Emmett wondered what he would do with such a thing. He would be unstoppable.

“Obviously not as Tanya was the owner and she was being torn apart.” Isabella still didn’t understand what the kidnappers had been thinking.

“Why didn’t they just give the coven the relic to get Tanya back?” If it didn’t work Kate didn’t understand why they just didn’t hand it over.

“Because it actually belonged to Tanya’s human mother. The whole thing was their Kate’s fault. She thought it would be funny to make people believe that an antique held some magical power. She had told a bunch of vampires about it and the rumor had spread to many. The coven who took Tanya wasn’t the first to come after them over the thing.” Isabella explained.

Irina laughed. “Are you saying Kate is as destructive in other dimensions as she is here?”

“My Kate is actually the reason I don’t ride in man made vehicles.” Isabella told them.

“What did your Kate do?” Rosalie had been curious why Isabella refused to ride in or on any type of vehicle.

“Myself, Tanya and the rest of our coven to include my Rosalie and Emmett where flying home from vacation and Kate thought it would be fun to mess with an annoying man who kept ogling Rosalie and shock him. When she got up to fake going to the bathroom so she could get close to the guy she tripped on a seatbelt that had fallen on the floor. She was so focused on shocking him that when she tripped she sent a jolt of electricity through the floor of the plane. That of course fried the electronics on the plane and started a fire in one of the engines.” Isabella told them.

“Jesus Christ, how the hell did you make it out alive?” Tanya asked.

“As the plane was going down I was able to use my shield to smother the fire and guide the plane into the ocean we were flying over.” Isabella said. “It took over twelve hours for them to rescue us because with the electronics out they couldn’t contact anyone. We had to wait for them to find us.”

“So even though Kate was the one to do the damage you still won’t ride in a vehicle?” Rosalie didn’t understand why that one incident caused Isabella’s fear.

Isabella shook her head. “It happened once. I’m not going to chance it happening again.”

“Now we know not to ride on a plane with Kate.” Irina wasn’t going to chance Kate doing something so stupid. If Isabella didn’t smother the fire the vampires probably would have died as well as the humans.

“I wouldn’t do that.” Kate was highly offended that Irina would think she would be stupid enough to short circuit a plane.

“Sure you wouldn’t.” Rosalie didn’t believe for a second that Kate wasn’t even considering what it would be like to do that on a plane. The maniac would probably do it just to see what it was like.

“Regardless at least we know what would happen if Kate did and we can prevent it.” Tanya was definitely going to be more observant of Kate while they were traveling. Especially with Bella still being human. This just reinforced the need Tanya had for Isabella to train Bella when she was turned. If it was them on the plane and not Isabella and her coven then the whole situation would have turned out very differently. If she could get her mate to the point where she could guide a plane with her shield then Tanya wouldn’t have to worry about her. Well worry so much about her. She would always worry about her mate but it would be nice if her mate could protect herself better. As the waitress came and set the food on the table Tanya took a moment just to enjoy her family. They hadn’t had a chance to be together like this yet and it was nice to get a moment to experience something special together. She made a note to thank Isabella for sharing her traleif with her coven mates because she knew that Isabella didn’t have that many vials with her. Tanya realized that she would also have to ask if Isabella could make a trip back after she went home to bring them some more vials. She knew the vampire didn’t like to travel much but hoped maybe she wouldn’t mind just dropping off some supplies. That didn’t matter right now though. What mattered was the fork Bella was holding to her lips for her to try the food she was eating. Thoughts of the future could wait until later. Now she wanted to eat some food and enjoy the company of her family.

Great chapter! Though I think the others should stop asking so much of bella. I get she supposed to protect them but asking bella to willingly come and give up time with her tanya (when she disappears all the time already) is selfish in a way I don't think she's realized

It seems like this Tanya doesn’t really consider Isabella her own person with actual feelings. She and most others treat Isabella like a thesaurus and gift shop. Rosalie seems to be the only one to actually see her as a person.
