Every Time IT’s You 21

“So after using the liquid in the vial Billy was able to walk like he had never been injured at all?” Carlisle was flabbergasted by what Tanya was telling him. The group of four including Rosalie, Isabella and Bella had returned twenty minutes ago and after settling Bella in bed for the night Tanya was now telling them all that transpired. He really wanted to speak to Isabella about it but she had followed Rosalie to her garage after politely declining his request for her to talk with the rest of them.

“Yes. I wasn’t there when the actual healing happened but after an hour Billy came running down the beach as fast he could. If I didn’t know about his injury before hand I would have thought he was a man in his early thirties at peak physical condition.” Tanya had still found the whole situation unbelievable. It made her wish she had been in the room while the healing actually happened.

“Amazing.” Eleazar murmured. “Did he see a doctor yet?”

“They had the tribe doctor overseeing the whole process. After it was finished he spent an hour asking Isabella questions. Isabella even gave him another vial of liquid but I’m not sure what it did.” Tanya had been too far away to hear what the pair had been talking about and had planned to ask Isabella later. Hopefully Rosalie would make an exception to her no one allowed in her garage rule and allow Tanya to visit with Isabella.

“I wish I had went.” Carlisle had wanted to go but the shifters didn’t want that many vampires on their lands. He understood that the treaty was in place for a reason but to see such an injury like the one Billy had heal so quickly and completely would have been amazing to see. He also wanted to know about the vial she gave to the shifters.

“What was the tribal bonfire like?” Eleazar was surprised when Tanya told them she, Rosalie and Isabella had been invited to stay for such a sacred event. It was rumored that only those who shifted or knew of the shifters were invited to such meetings.

“After Isabella had spent some time with the doctor and the elders she asked about their history. Billy had offered to share the legends they had and asked her to stay for a bonfire. Before they started the story telling there was a bunch of food made that Rosalie, myself and Isabella ate with them much to their surprise.” Tanya had enjoyed being able to share a meal with her mate. It also being the first time she had human food in a thousand years made the whole experience special. It made her understand why Rosalie didn’t want to share any of the vials Isabella gave her with anyone. Having a chance to get back a bit of their humanity was priceless. Tanya had planned to ask Isabella later if she had any extra. She had overheard the vampire telling one of the shifters that she carried a large supply because she liked to try different foods each dimensions had to offer.

“Were they hostile towards you at all?” Carlisle was jealous that Tanya had gotten to eat human food. He had asked Rosalie for a sample of the liquid that allowed them to but she had made up numerous excuses to why she couldn’t. He honestly didn’t blame her but had wanted to know if they could replicate it.

Tanya shook her head. “They were wary of Rosalie and myself but treated Isabella like an honored guest. Several of the people at the bond fire including Sam and the elders gave Isabella hugs as we were leaving.”

“That is so incredible. Here Isabella is probably the most dangerous vampire that we have ever encountered to include the Volturi and she easily makes friends with everyone she meets.” Eleazar had noticed that it didn’t matter who Isabella interacted with they liked her. Even after insulting the wolves during her first meeting with them didn’t stop them from treating her like a friend.

“I think it’s because there is nothing fake about her at all.” Tanya said. “With her it’s what you see is what you get. I bet she’s a terrible liar.”

“That being said we have decided to start training with the wolves tomorrow if you would like to be there.” Carlisle was excited for the opportunity to see what the wolves could actually do.

“I’ll be there along with Bella. I’m assuming all the others will be there as well?” Tanya asked.

Carlisle nodded. “The whole group of us will be present. Alice said she had caught a glimpse of Victoria talking to someone in a warehouse so we are hoping that we will have some more concrete information when we meet up with the wolves.”

“That’s good news.” Tanya motioned to the door. “I’m going to go spend some time with Isabella. I haven’t really gotten a chance to talk to her since she’s come back.”

“See if you can convince her to come talk to us when you are done.” Eleazar had wanted to go with his coven leader but not only did he know she wouldn’t want him to but he didn’t want to force Isabella to talk to him after she had seemed to want to just spend time with Rosalie.

Tanya could hear a radio playing classic rock and voices when she walked into the garage. She made her way over to where Rosalie and Isabella had been sitting on a couch and smiled at them in greeting. “I hope I’m not interrupting.”

“Not at all. You are more than welcome to spend time with us.” Isabella told her. “Why don’t you take a seat?”

“Are you sure?” Tanya looked to Rosalie for permission. This was her space and she didn’t like others in it.

“It’s fine.” Rosalie reassured her. It was because Tanya was Isabella’s dimensional mate that Rosalie gave her the invitation. Turning back to Isabella she asked. “So what did she do to him?”

“Well in her state of anger she grabbed him by the back of the neck and took him from my workroom in the castle and brought him to the training grounds.”Isabella said picking up where she left off in her story.” There she marched to the middle of the training grounds, whistled to get everyone’s attention and when she had it she threw Emmett on ground and then promised three vials of tralief to the first person to make him beg for death.”

Rosalie laughed. “Oh man that’s brutal. How long did he last?”

“She came and collected him after two hours. I have to give him credit though he never asked for death.” Isabella was still impressed with how Emmett handled the whole thing.

“What are you guys talking about?” Tanya didn’t understand why Rosalie would laugh at her mate being tortured. “Did your queens punish your Emmett?”

“No not at all. They would have been much more merciful than my Rosalie was. I was telling Rosalie what happened to my Emmett when they found out that he punched a hole in my shoulder.” Isabella told her.

“Jesus, she let her mate be beat on like that for hurting you?” Tanya was under the impression that a vampire would never even consider hurting their mate and would give their lives to protect them from harm.

“My Rosalie and I have a bond that in some ways is stronger than a mate bond. Marcus told us it is very rare. Familiar bonds happen all the time but the familiar bond that my Rosalie and myself share is as close to a true soulmate as one could get. That’s why our mates get so upset with us with all the time we spend together. They try to contain their jealously and we both know it hurts them but we would pick each other over our mates if it came to it.” Isabella and her Rosalie had never told their mates of the intensity of their bond. Nothing good would come of it. It was a secret they shared only with Marcus and his mate Didyme.

“Does this bond follow through dimensions as well?” Tanya didn’t know what to think about what Isabella was saying. She wasn’t sure she could accept someone having such a bond with her mate.

“Yes and no. Yes familiar bonds follow through but the intensity of the bond I have with my Rosalie I have yet to find anyone else to have. Even though myself in other dimensions have familiar bonds with their Rosalie none of them are as strong as my own with my Rosalie.” Isabella explained.

“So you are saying I have a familiar bond with Bella?” Rosalie didn’t know how she felt about that. She had been taking time to get to know Bella and was finding she actually liked the human but didn’t think they were bonded.

Isabella nodded. “You might feel a fondness for her now but when she is turned you will see her like a sister.”

“That’s not so bad.” Tanya could handle someone seeing Bella as a sister. That would just mean that Bella had more people that would protect her if she was ever in danger.

“No it’s not.” Rosalie agreed. With Bella no longer with Edward she would actually welcome having Bella as a sister.

“Before I forget I was wondering if you had any more of that, what did you call it tralief?” Tanya asked.

“Yes I do. I was able to choose where I went last time and stocked up with extra to share with those in that dimension. Unfortunately for them I was pulled here before we had a chance to celebrate bringing Tanya and her Isabella together. In that dimension she was called Isa.” Isabella couldn’t imagine being called anything but her full name even though Kate tried to give her nicknames constantly.

“Could I please have some?” Tanya asked.

Isabella opened her coat and pulled out four vials and handed them to Tanya. “I would give you more but I don’t know how long I will be here and I like to find different foods to bring back to my coven and the queens. That reminds me, I need an onion plant to bring home. Do you know where we could get one?”

“There is a gardening store in town. Maybe you can find some other plants that will be of interest. I can take you.” Rosalie offered. She liked spending time with Isabella and it wasn’t often that Isabella wasn’t being pestered by someone asking her tons of questions.

“What was in the vial that you gave the doctor on the beach?” Tanya asked.

“It was a sedative that only works on shifters. I came across it during my travels and keep some with me on the off chance I encounter shifters. It helps when they need surgery or limbs have to be broken to be reset so they can heal properly. I have found that most pain medications don’t work on shifters but this one does. “Isabella explained.

“What are in the other vials you have?” Rosalie had seen at least a half dozen different colors of liquid in Isabella’s pocket.

“Well there are the three you already know about then there is this one.” Isabella pointed to one filled with bright red liquid that almost looked like blood. “This helps control bloodlust. I personally developed this one. It makes it so a vampire who is too far gone can gain control again. It is used for vampires who haven’t fed for a very long time and to help newborns through their first year.”

“What exactly does it do to the vampire?” Tanya wondered if that could help Bella when she was turned. Her mate had told her that she only wanted to feed off of animals and if Isabella had a way to get her through the worst of her urges that would probably save her mate from the heartache that came when a vegetarian vampire slipped and killed a human.

“It’s like a pure injection of human blood into your veins. Your thirst is eased completely and your body is straightened back to it’s healthiest point even if you have been starved for years.” Isabella told them. “I have been involved in many situations where a vampire has been tortured by starvation and nothing short of death would be a mercy. That’s why I worked so hard to make this. The reactions newborns have to it are just a side effect that I didn’t expect.”

“Do you think if we gave this to Bella when she is turned it could help her with her control?” Tanya asked.

Isabella thought about how it would work with a newborn animal drinking vampire. “If you were to administer it when she first wakes up it would help clear her mind enough that you would be able to reason with her. After that I would only use it when you were around humans. I recommend that you taper her off it as you reintroduce her to society.”

“Do you have enough that I could have to help her get through it?” Tanya was now even more excited for her mate. If what Isabella was saying was true then Bella could make it through her first year unscathed. Returning to civilization would also be a lot easier if she had the help of the liquid.

“I don’t have a full years worth but I have enough that you could make it through the first few months which we all know are the hardest. If I am able to return I will bring you more.” Isabella handed Tanya four vials. “Just know you don’t have to use the whole vial for it to work.”

Tanya carefully cradled the vials in her hand afraid of breaking them. “Thank you Isabella. I hope you do come back but next time for a visit not because we are in danger.”

“What are the other two colors for?” If the other four vials had such amazing things in them then Rosalie couldn’t imagine what the last two were.

Bella handed her a vial with blue liquid in it. “This is a vial I keep around for fun.”

“What makes this vial fun?” Rosalie asked.

“That vial contains something that when you drink it it makes you stronger, faster and more durable than you already are.” Isabella told them.

“You mean it’s like steroids for vampires?” Rosalie looked at the blue liquid and tried to see what it was made of. It looked like blue cool aide.

Isabella nodded. “Exactly like steroids for vampires. It lasts for about thirty minutes and you have to wait an hour in between doses but for that thirty minutes you are invincible. Even your skin hardens. After drinking one of these I saw a vampire bitten by one of the children of the moon and it didn’t even scratch her skin.”

“Holy shit.” Tanya couldn’t imagine what someone would do to get their hands on the vial Rosalie held. A half hour for a vampire was a long time. Long enough to cause a lot of damage. If the knowledge that something like this existed got out many would be fighting to get it. Tanya didn’t even want to think of what the Volturi would do.

“I don’t think we should tell anyone about this.” Rosalie was thinking along the same lines as Tanya. Many would fight for a chance to get the vial she was holding.

“I don’t think we should either.” Tanya agreed. She wasn’t even going to tell her own coven. The less people who knew about this the better. That didn’t mean she didn’t want to have some on hand though.”Can you spare extras of these as well or do you use them yourself?”

“No I don’t use it.” Isabella had tried it once but she didn’t like the way it made her feel. Plus she was strong enough with her shield alone that she didn’t need any enhancements. “As for having more I can give you my supply because I don’t really have a need for them. Like I said I keep them around for fun.”

Rosalie took the six vials that Isabella handed her and put them in one of her toolboxes. She would find a better place to hide them later but for now her toolbox was the safest as no-one ever had a reason to go in there. “I’ll keep them here for now then we can find a safe place to put them later.”

“That should be fine.” Tanya didn’t have anywhere to put them without someone finding them. She was just happy that it was Rosalie and not someone else who had been here when they found out about it. Rosalie knew how to keep a secret so Tanya wasn’t afraid of her telling anyone.

“So for the last vial.” Isabella held up a vial full of green liquid. “This contains something that allows you to be in the sun without sparkling.”

“Seriously?” Rosalie now was even more excited. Not only could she eat human food but she could go to the beach.

Isabella nodded. “Yes. I keep these on me incase I have to be involved with humans. This was actually created by my Tanya.”

“What is it made out of and how long does it last?” Tanya was already imagining all the vacations she and Bella could go on if they could be safe from the sun.

“It lasts for about twelve hours but to be on the safe side I would recommend not counting on more than eleven. As to what it’s made of it’s plant based. My Tanya is big on horticulture and has numerous greenhouses that I help her fill with various plants I bring back from each dimension. To make this she combined many different plants from different dimensions. I have yet to come across anything similar.” Isabella was extremely proud of her wife’s achievements.

Rosalie deflated a little as she realized there was no way they would be able to replicate it themselves. “I know we keep asking but do you have any extra of those?”

“You two may not be my Tanya and my Rosalie but I would still do anything to help you. I also know that my mate would be angry with me if I didn’t share this stuff with you.” Isabella was telling the truth. Often times when she came home with left over supplies her wife had lectured her on being selfish. Most of the vials she got from different dimensions they had stock piles of so it wasn’t a great loss if she came home with none. Isabella however liked to hang on to some in case of emergencies like when she had gotten dragged here twice.

“How do you want to handle these?” Rosalie asked Tanya. Isabella transferred the vials she kept into the smaller pouch and handed Rosalie a dozen green ones in the larger pouch she had.

Tanya thought about what they should do with all the things Isabella had given them. It seemed that there wasn’t anyway to make anymore themselves so Tanya didn’t want to share with too many people what they got.” The only stuff that everyone knows about is the tralief and the healing serum. I think that no one else needs to know about what Isabella has given us. Would you mind not telling anyone about this?”

“If you don’t want me to I won’t.” Isabella easily agreed. Her only loyalty to those in this dimension was to Tanya, Rosalie and Bella. The rest of the group weren’t that important to her in any way.

“For now let’s keep them here. How do you feel about installing a safe somewhere that only the two of us know about.” Tanya was extra glad that Isabella had given them the mental blocks because it meant that there was no way for anyone to get the information out of them unless given willingly.

“I could do that. We aren’t meeting the wolves until the afternoon tomorrow so in the morning I will take Isabella to the gardening store and while we are out we can make a trip to pick up a safe. I just have to find a place that will have the one we want.” Rosalie said.

“It’s sounds like we have a plan.”Tanya stood and put her hand on Isabella’s shoulder. “Once again I owe you a debt for all you have done for and given us. Even now you are here to save my life and the life of my mate. I know I will never be able to repay you but know that I appreciate all that you have done.”

Isabella smiled at Tanya. “I would do anything for you.I told you before. I do all this because I love you so much.”

“Regardless thank you. I’m going to go in and spend the rest of the night with Bella. I put her to sleep in a guest room so I wouldn’t have to be away from her while we talked.” Tanya made her way to the door waving over her shoulder as the words of goodbye sounded behind her. With the gifts Isabella had given them Tanya now had many things to think about. Not only did Isabella give Bella a chance to make it through her newborn year unscathed she gave Tanya a chance to regain some of her humanity so she had the chance to experience the world the way Bella did. The only problem with everything was who would be safe enough to tell. She needed to be careful with everything they just learned. As she shed her clothes and slid into bed with Bella she felt thankful that it was only Rosalie with them when Isabella gave them those vials because anyone who knew about them could possibly be in great danger if others found out about their existence.
