Every Time It's You 20

After their meeting Isabella was invited to the reservation right after. It had been decided they would plan the fight between Isabella and the alpha for a later date when everyone was able to watch. Since Isabella was going to the reservation Bella and Tanya came as well. Rosalie was honestly surprised that they allowed her on their land but after learning she was the one who knew how to use the hover bike the shifters had readily agreed. Now Rosalie was standing on the beach with a group from the reservation waiting for their turns on the hover bike. She wasn’t happy that the mutts were even touching it but until Isabella had officially given it to her Rosalie had no control over who was able to use it.
“So you have met other shifters during your travels?” Billy Black along with the rest of the elders had been beyond excited to speak with Isabella after they had learned of her existence. From the stories that Bella had passed along the vampire was extremely knowledgable about the supernatural. It was because of her knowledge that they overlooked the fact that she was their natural enemy and she was invited to visit.
Isabella nodded her head. “Yes I have met numerous kinds. You are the first wolf shifters I have met. Although I have come across many werewolves.”
“We are werewolves.” Sam said. He too wanted to ride the hover bike but talking to Isabella could be helpful to the tribe.
“No you are simply a shifter. Werewolves are commonly referred to as children of the moon. The difference between your two species is that you are able to control your shifts and your emotions. Children of the moon can only shift on full moons and while in human form are just as destructive as when they are in their wolf form. That is why most dimensions hunt them to extinction. They are to dangerous to humans and other supernaturals.” Isabella told them.
“Interesting.” Billy had of course heard of children of the moon but had assumed it was simply a tall tale made up to scare children. “Do we have such beings in this dimension?”
“Yes. Although they no longer exist because vampires hunted them after one almost killed one of the kings.” Tanya wanted to stay with Bella but thought it was better to be with Isabella while she was talking to the elders. She wasn’t afraid of Isabella getting hurt, Tanya was afraid of Isabella insulting someone by accident.
“Bella told us that you sometimes come across the same people in different dimensions. Have you come across any of us?” One of the elders Quill asked. Bella had spoken to them about the last time Isabella was there and recognized different gifts and abilities in the vampires. Since then he had wondered if she would know anything about him or any others from his tribe.
“No I have not, but I did look the last few places I visited. It actually led me to a group of jaguar shifters.” Isabella smiled as she thought of her fight with their leader to earn the right to even speak with them. After it was over she had spent a few nights in their company and had enjoyed some rather exotic foods. Tanya had enjoyed the rare melons she had brought back and was in the process of trying to get a couple of the trees that produced them to grow in the greenhouse they had built for that exact reason.
“Jaguar shifters, amazing.” Sue the final elder tried to imagine what a jaguar shifter would be like. Shaking off that thought she asked Isabella the question that she had wanted to ask after finding out the existence of other shifters. “Have you met any female shifters?”
“Of course I have. Female shifters are somewhat rare but are highly respected. From what I have learned most tribes consider a female shifter a blessing from the gods.” Isabella told her.
“Truly?” Sue was more than happy to hear how much female shifters were treasured. She wondered how she could get that level of respect bestowed upon her daughter as she was somewhat ostracized by the others for being a girl.
“Yes, I visited a group of Elephant shifters that had a female in their ranks. She was given the title of goddess and was asked to give blessings to all the newborns. They actually prayed to her. She is basically a deity.” Isabella still had the ceremonial robes she had been gifted when she stayed with them. She had been honored to have assisted with the birth of two of the children.
“We have one female shifter but as our ancestors had never been exposed to one there was no writings on how to deal with it.” Billy thought they would have to reevaluate the way the tribe treated Sue’s daughter Leah. What Isabella said made him rethink the way they viewed having a female shifter. They had thought it to be somewhat of a curse but Isabella had a point. If female shifters were so rare they probably were a blessing from the gods.
“I don’t know if I will come back to this dimension but I can translate some of the writings I have collected to your language for you to read over. That is only if I return though.” Isabella didn’t want to make any promises but she felt like this tribe was to isolated. The fact that they had only had one female shifter in their entire history and didn’t treat her as if she was the ultimate blessing from the gods was shocking to her.
“We would appreciate that greatly Isabella.” Billy really hoped that Isabella came back because he was beyond interested in learning about other tribes. “Do you know of any other shifter communities in this dimension?”
Isabella shook her head. “I try to spend as little time as I can in each dimension as I don’t like to be away from my mate or my Rosalie. The reason I went looking for your tribe was because of the interest from my own coven and our queens.”
“It still sounds odd to hear of you only having queens.” Tanya couldn’t imagine a world where the kings weren’t in charge. It did seem that Isabella’s dimension was more peaceful but they really hadn’t asked much about it. They more asked about the things that could help them.
“They are the ones who led the armies. In my dimension most of our rulers are women. I find it strange that women aren’t as well respected as men in other places.” Isabella didn’t understand why someone would want to sensor brilliant minds based on their gender. It never made sense to her.
“There was something interesting Bella had told us about that I didn’t know how true it was. She said you had a vial of liquid that could heal all wounds and cure even cancer.” Billy didn’t know if it was actually possible but he would always regret not asking if it was.
“Yes, it could even repair your body to allow you to walk again.” Isabella told Billy.
“Really?” Billy hadn’t expected that. “My accident severed my spine and wasn’t able to be repaired so I don’t know if it would actually work. It’s a very old injury.”
“That doesn’t matter. Two drops would be enough. It would take about an hour to repair your body and it would be extremely painful but it would work. Once done your body would be in peak physical condition.” Isabella had seen it heal worse injuries than a severed spine. Her own shoulder injury was more extreme than that.
“Do you have any that we could use?” Sam was now excited as well. The threat of the newborn vampire army was very concerning but if they had something that could heal them easily it would lessen some of his worries about his pack getting hurt. Especially the young ones who shouldn’t be shifting at all.
“I gave Carlisle one but I still have a few. As I told him my mate makes me carry them on my person incase something happens during a mission or on my travels.” Isabella opened her coat and pulled a vial out of her pouch and handed it to Billy. “I gave Carlisle the recipe but I am unsure if he will be able to recreate it as I have found every dimension is different from the rest so some materials you may not have here.”
Billy carefully cradled the vial in his hands. He wasn’t a hundred percent sure it could actually heal him but he was willing to try. “How does it work?”
“Well as I said you only need two drops. You simply place them on your tongue and lay down. It will feel like nothing is happening at first but I’m told you start to feel as if you are being electrocuted as it kicks in. The pain depends on how bad the injury is but the healing never takes more than an hour. Sometimes even less.” Isabella explained. As she was a vampire it wasn’t painful to her at all but to other species it was.
“What happens if you take more than two drops?” Sue asked looking at the vial curiously. Even though they had a doctor who was aware of shifters they really didn’t have the knowledge on how to properly take care of their wounds or heal their illnesses. The vial Billy was holding could save many lives.
“Any more than two drops for a human is deadly. It will act in reverse and break down the body completely.” Isabella warned. “It’s the same with shifters as well because they have a human form and because human blood runs through their veins the liquid reacts the same as a regular human.”
“Are you willing to try it Billy?” Quill asked. He didn’t want to use his friend as a guinea pig but he wanted to make sure it was safe before they gave it to anyone.
Billy thought it through for a minute. The positives of using it outweighed the negative so it was easy to agree. “I am fine with using it. Let’s go back to my house and do it there. Isabella would you mind coming along?”
“Of course not. I will gladly come and help. I have never had a problem when I administered it to others or myself but that was only because they used it properly.” Isabella was fine with watching over Billy as he healed. She would be able to sooth the others and stop them from interfering during the process. Isabella had seen what happened while the body was healing itself and onlookers often times became distraught as they watched.
Tanya looked over to her mate standing next to Rosalie watching the shifters with the hover bike. She wanted to go with Isabella but didn’t feel with Rosalie’s temper that it would be wise to leave her alone. Deciding that if anything happened Isabella could protect herself she made her decision. “I’m going to stay here with Rosalie and Bella. Let me know if you need anything.”
“Will do.” Isabella called over her shoulder as she followed Sam, the three elders and Jacob Black away from the beach.
“Is she going to be alright with all of them?” Rosalie asked as she watched the group leave. Like Tanya she wanted to go with Isabella but she didn’t trust the shifters alone with the hover bike. They had already almost crashed it numerous times and Rosalie had physically intervened to save it from hitting the trees so she didn’t think it wise to let it out of her sight.
“It’s not her I’m worried about it’s the shifters. You know how Isabella is. I just hope she doesn’t cause the trust between us and the shifters to break.” Tanya said.
Rosalie rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to the hover bike. She wasn’t worried about Isabella that much. Isabella could take care of herself. Rosalie was just concerned because no-one was there for Isabella to support her in case something went wrong with the healing. Not knowing if the liquid would actually work she had her doubts and because of those doubts she didn’t want Isabella to have to deal with disappointed shifters on her own. Rosalie wished Carlisle was here to help but then quickly dismissed that idea. If he was here then he would probably get into more trouble than Isabella with all his questions and lack of manners he had when Isabella was around. Sighing Rosalie decided that there was nothing to do now but wait and hope that everyone came back in one piece.
