“So you are saying that it’s possible for a vampire to attach a limb from another vampire to their own body and it would actually fuse with the vampire and become a working part of their body?” Eleazar asked Isabella.He along with Carmen, Esme, Carlisle, Tanya and Jasper had been talking to Isabella while waiting for Kate and Irina’s groups to join them. The other vampires at the Cullen home had been occupied with the hover bike, which he had planned to inspect later, while Bella was sleeping in a guest room. Isabella had been telling them about vampire body modifications. Half of the things she claimed Eleazar couldn’t wrap his head around they were so outrageous.

“Yes. A method was developed by a vampire who’s own limb was destroyed after being in a fight. He was a guard for the royals of that dimension and was given permission from them to conduct experiments on prisoners. I won’t get into the various experiments done on those vampires but in his research he found a way to transplant a limb.” Isabella hated thinking about that self proclaimed scientist. He did horrible experiments that were justified by doing them on captives. It didn’t sit right with Isabella but it hadn’t been her own dimension so she couldn’t really say anything against it.

“So how do you get the body to actually accept the foreign limb?” Carlisle asked. He had never heard of this happening before. He also wasn’t sure if it had ever been tried.

“That is the difficult part. To actually get the limb to fuse and be fully functioning you need to use two different kinds of liquid concoctions. One you drink and the other you need to apply to the seam of the limb and the body to fuse them together.”Isabella told them.

“I’m taking it that you don’t have any of this with you?” Isabella shook her head causing Carlisle disappointment. He knew it was a long shot she would have some but it would have been nice. “Do you know how to make them?”

“I do however finding the ingredients in different dimensions is the issue. You need the venom of a specific lizard. It’s not the only ingredient but the hardest one I’ve had finding anywhere other than the original dimension that came up with it.” Isabella explained.

“Can you bring the lizards to different dimensions?” Tanya asked. Being able to replace a limb was something that any vampire would want as an option. Especially if they were involved in an unknown situation like they currently were. If whatever this threat after them caught them off guard then it would be nice to have a way to repair any injuries that they sustained.

“The only living thing I can travel with are plants.” That reminded Isabella, she needed to see if she could get some onion plants to bring home.

Before anyone could ask Isabella another question a commotion was heard coming from the front lawn. All the vampires in the living room rushed out to see what was going on only to find Kate and Garrett had arrived and Kate was arguing with Rosalie. Tanya rolled her eyes at the scene.

“I don’t see why you get to decide who gets to ride it. Emmett said it wasn’t for you, it was for Isabella’s Rosalie.” Kate and Garrett had come back as quickly as they could when they learned of the danger coming to Tanya and Bella. Kate was excited to see Isabella again and even a little happy to maybe have a chance at fighting. Kate didn’t often get the opportunity to let loose and fight without holding back but that excitement was put on the back burner when she arrived at the Cullens and saw every one checking out the hover bike. Now her only concern was riding it and Rosalie was trying to stop that from happening.

“It may not be mine but I know if you try and ride it you will crash it. Then no-one else will get a chance to use it. Anyway we don’t even know how to use it yet. I haven’t finished reading the manual.” Rosalie knew this was going to happen. Kate was going to wreck the hover bike before any of them even got the chance to test it out.

“You don’t need to read the manual. It looks easy enough. You turn it on, it hovers, you ride. What else is there to know?” Kate wasn’t going to take no for an answer. She was definitely going to ride this thing. It was to cool to pass up.

“There is a lot to know Kate.” Rosalie huffed. “Like how to steer it or how to use the brakes.”

Noticing Isabella had come out of the house Kate turned her attention to her. “Isabella would it be alright if I rode the hover bike?”

“I don’t personally want to get involved in this. However I also don’t wish it to get broken so at least have one of you read the manual to figure out how it works. After that just be careful when you ride it.” Isabella wasn’t going to get herself dragged into a fight about this. From the little she had interacted with each of them Kate was a lot like her own Kate and that meant that she was extremely destructive. That didn’t bode well for the hover bike.

Rosalie smiled triumphantly. “See we need to read the manual.”

“She didn’t say I couldn’t ride it though. So once you figure it out I am going to get my turn.” Kate wasn’t going to take no for an answer. The hover bike was the closest thing to actually being able to fly. She wondered how high up she could get with it.

“Anyway.” Tanya interjected before the fight could continue. She knew if she were human she would have the beginnings of a headache coming on because she predicted many fights over the hover bike in the future. She really hoped that Isabella took the thing back home with her so she wouldn’t have to deal with it. “Hello Kate, Garrett how was your trip?”

Kate pulled her attention away from the hover bike and hugged Tanya. “Hello sister. Our trip was fun. It is definitely a lot different being a nomad now then it was centuries ago when we tried our hands at it.”

“I can imagine. Irina will be here in a couple hours. She is bringing Maggie, Liam and Siobhan” Even though it wasn’t for the most positive reasons Tanya was happy to be reunited with her sisters. They didn’t often separate but when they did it always made each of them sad as they had been with each other most of their lives and were extremely close.

“Good I want to ask her if she’s seen any leprechauns.” Kate said.

“You have leprechauns in this dimension. That’s odd as I have only encountered them in a few dimensions during my travels.” Isabella was surprised they had the mythical creatures as she had thought this dimension had relatively few types of supernatural species.

Emmett perked up hearing this.“Wait, leprechauns are real?”

“I’ve met a few.” Isabella told them.

“What are they like?” Garrett asked. Kate had told him more about Isabella as they had been traveling and the vampire had fascinated him. He was an adventurer and Isabella went to places he could only dream to go.

Isabella flinched remembering her interaction with the human like species. “Tricksters. You have to not only watch your words but your wallet around them. Never make a deal with a leprechaun because in the end it is never worth it.”

“Amazing. What other supernaturals have you encountered?” Eleazar asked. He hadn’t really thought that Isabella would have encountered other species during her travels.

“More than you could actually imagine. I sometimes wonder if there were other people who had my gift of dimensional travel because I find a lot of stories have some kind of truth to them.” Isabella always wondered about that. It would be believable that others had the same gift she had and different purposes for it.

“Ok forget about that boring stuff can we get back to the hover bike.”Kate was interested in hearing more about Isabella’s dimensional travels but they had a hover bike right in front of them. That was the most important thing to her.

“If you guys are going back to fighting about the hover bike then I’m going back inside to wait for Irina. Please keep it down as my mate is sleeping.” Tanya didn’t want to get dragged back into a fight involving Kate. When Kate was like this there was no way she was going to back down.

“I’ll join you.” Isabella had the same thought as Tanya. She didn’t want to deal with a Kate meltdown. As she followed Tanya back into the Cullen’s home she gave one last look back at the group and caught Rosalie’s pleading gaze. She knew Rosalie wanted her to mediate but Isabella didn’t really have it in her. However she could never deny Rosalie anything so she sighed as she made her way back to the group. “I guess I could stay out here for a little while longer.”

“Thank you.” Rosalie was happy Isabella had stayed. She didn’t know if she could win in a fight with Kate on her own even in a verbal fight and she really wanted to finish reading the manual before any of them tried to ride the hover bike. That meant that she needed some one to guard it while she was distracted. Getting Isabella to stay would stop anyone from just jumping on it. It was enough reassurance that Isabella would stop them that gave Rosalie the confidence to sit back down and continue reading the manual. She like everyone else was excited but she really didn’t want it broken. From the little she had read they definitely wouldn’t be able to fix it.
