fun fact: every time i post one of these polls, people cancel their memberships and it makes me regret engaging with the community. like i just reminded them they're here and they were like "oh yeah, no thanks." which is fine, i dont want people to give me anything they dont want to give me, but damn its disheartening.

some stats. in the last four weeks, ive had 12 membership cancellations totaling -$37. two joined, for a total of +$2. total earnings this year have fallen by about 35% (can be hard to measure exactly due to yearly vs monthly subs, so the payouts vary wildly). 128 people have canceled this year alone (51 paid, 77 free). also this year so far, patreon gained +407 free members, for a total of 1,084. nine free members have upgraded from a free membership to a paid membership in that time frame. i would like to not-so-subtly encourage free members to consider $1/month, but i also dont want to paywall anything here. and sadly, thats the only real way to get free members to give you a dollar, so. kinda stuck, i guess.

i expect more cancellations once this post goes up, thats fine. i just really want to know how to engage with you all or...just why youre here. i know the modlists have taken a back seat; five years of nonstop modlist work have been pretty draining and far less than rewarding, but im still chuggin along on them. anyway, if anyone ever wonders why im going the verified creator route, this is why. cats need food, so do i.
