I got the feeling that her dad did like working on abominations but Odalia took the joy out of it and worked him like a dog. With her gone I feel like Amity and Alador could bond over their love of Abominations

I thought she'd be an archeologist/explorer under Lilith, or alternatively do more techy/artsy stuff.

In my head, she's being so patient purely because Amity says it's important, even though she doesn't see the necessity. (Spoiler: Something WILL explode in the next 90 seconds, and she still won't see why the helmet was important.)
