Canary Islands in the Nude: Gran Canaria (Episode 1)

In this episode we visit Gran Canaria, home to the popular nude beaches Maspalomas and Playa de Inglés, but we found many more. We also discovered excellent food, far off-the-beaten-track places, an excellent naturist resort and even something funny (although that could be discussed).

2025-02-17 18:37:20 +0000 UTCGood point! We're often a bit reluctant to describe the crowds because our experiences are just a snapshot and depend on a lot of factors. At Maspalomas, for example, we would say that the average age was 60+ and mostly Germans and British. But we also know that the Canaries are a hot spot for retired German and British snowbirds and that younger Europeans typically don't travel much in January/February and that those who do often prefer snow destinations. We're pretty certain that if we would come in July, we may find a completely different crowd, so it feels a bit unfair to picture Maspalomas as a German retirement home :-)

2025-02-16 15:58:30 +0000 UTCHalfway through and it is really good, maybe a bit too much of the rocky trails along cliffs for us squeamish types though. But they did end up with great views! Maybe you could describe the nude beach goers a bit, i.e nationality, age, etc?
