We don’t consider the French very prude, but the problem is often mass tourism. When the masses don’t like nudity, local businesses will often follow the money….

Unless the other bathers are American, I would imagine that French bathers are probably not that bothered by nudity. Common sense probably rules. If a clothed family is already there just move away. Nice review, I enjoyed it.

2024-08-09 16:51:30 +0000 UTCIt’s “technically” illegal 😀. We mention this because we don’t want our viewers to run in trouble, but there are indeed places where nobody bothers. The whole Euronat/CHM area is one of them. During summer time, naturists largely outnumber the textiles

You mentioned that public nudity away from naturist beaches is not legal - last week my wife was out for a cycle about 10km from Euronat near the village of Vensac and she met an entirely naked man on a bicycle coming in the opposite direction, apparently totally unconcerned and certainly not being bothered by anyone. Perhaps they thought he was an escapee from Euronat?
