Daily Vlog Week 2
Added 2022-06-26 12:05:18 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
If you have been following our YouTube channel, you already got the news that we needed to stop daily vlogging this week. Unfortunately for the worst reason we could think of. Lins' dad has passed away.
The daily viewers among you already noticed that things weren’t going as expected. We had been asked to be ambassadors for the French naturist campsite group France4Naturisme during a press event in Amsterdam. In the first video of this week, you could see both of us packing for this trip, and in the next video you saw that Nick went alone to Amsterdam.
The situation had become much worse, and eventually ended in the way we had all been fearing. A life gone by way too soon, but that ended in his preferred way: surrounded by friends and family.
Anyway, before we get too emotional, hereby the overview of this week:
Day 8: Packing for Amsterdam, we give you a glimpse of what’s in our suitcases for short and longer trips.

Day 9: Nick arrives alone in Amsterdam, and takes you on a tourist tour around the city.

Day 10: The day of the press event, a walk around the lesser known north of Amsterdam and explanation about the event.

Day 11: Before Nick returns to Belgium, there’s one thing he still wants to do: Try Belgian fries in Amsterdam.

Day 12: The temporarily last daily vlog in which we explain what’s been going on behind the scenes and why we decided to stop daily vlogging.

As we mention in the last daily vlog, today is still too soon to decide how we will continue with this. But it’s certain that it won’t take long before we’re back. If there’s one thing that situations like these teach us, it’s that you need to do the things you love whenever you get the chance. We love traveling, exploring new places, experiencing naturist destinations, meeting interesting people, tasting good food (and drinks). Those things are what make us feel alive and this feeling only gets better if we can share it with the world through videos, pictures, and blog posts.
We’re not sure yet if we will pick up the daily vlogging experiment again. It has been great to see how many of you have watched our videos every single day, and told us how much they enjoyed seeing the “real” us, compared to the us in our previous videos where everything always seemed perfect.
The thing is, these daily vlogs originated from a mindset of uncertainty, of not knowing what the near future would bring. As a reason to get up early in the morning and as a creative outlet to cope with a lot of stress and sadness. Today, we’re in a different state of mind and we’re not sure whether daily vlogs still have a place in this. So maybe we’ll switch back to weekly videos, or not, or maybe we do a combination. Time will tell.
In any case, your ideas and suggestions are, of course, very welcome. Just let us know!
Stay safe and healthy!
We’ll talk to you soon!
Nick & Lins

We definitely agree on the therapeutic effect of doing things that make you happy. This doesn't mean that there's no place for mourning and sadness, just that we can channel some of that energy into something positive.

2022-06-27 06:54:26 +0000 UTCWe are a few days behind on the daily vlogs and as such are just seeing this for the first time. Please accept our deepest condolences for your loss -- we are so sorry to learn of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Kindly feel free to reach out if you need anything at all, and take all of the time you need before returning to content creation. ❤️ This is not something we have shared with many, but as the second part of your message resonates with us... we discovered social nudity shortly before Nikki's dad passed away somewhat unexpectedly (she had already lost her mom a few years earlier, also suddenly). Experiencing naturism for the first times, and beginning to share our story through online posts, became so therapeutic for us as we dealt with otherwise tragic circumstances. It actually contributed greatly to us deciding to use the "Nude Lease On Life" name. I don't mean to make this about us and I hope this does not come across the wrong way, but I wanted to share something that I thought was particularly relevant and shed a light on the healing powers of social naturism. Carpe diem indeed. Lots of love to you both, and to your families. Take good care and be well. ❤️
