Daily Vlog Week 1

The first week of our daily vlogging experiment is behind us. As far as we are concerned, it’s quite a success. It does exactly what we had hoped it would do, we are learning to craft stories around topics that don’t include spectacular or tropical highlights, we are working more and more efficiently, we get to try new camera and video techniques, and we can test out different topics.
Most importantly, it gets us out of the door and forces us to focus on something different than all the things that are going on in our lives. Yes, having to record yet another video sometimes feels like a burden when we would prefer to lay in the couch and watch Netflix, but we’re always very happy when the video is ready.
So hereby an overview of what we published this week:
DAY 1: In the first video we explained a bit more in detail and in a less sentimental way what the purpose of this project is.

DAY 2: As we’ll be staying in Belgium for a while, we got our own apartment and gave you the full tour.

DAY 3: A couple of days before we started this project, we started doubting if we would be able to create a new video every single day. So we decided to cheat. But we totally failed.

DAY 4: Lins got a new piercing, and we tried a new video technique by both separately filming our day and then combining the two stories into one video.

DAY 5: We regularly get questions about which gear we use to film, and especially about our drone. So we created a video to explain more about the drone.

DAY 6: You probably remember Caroline, our intern who joined us in Colombia. Today was her last day and we talked about her experience.

DAY 7: The original plan was to give you a tour of Ghent, but a heat wave got in the way. So we decided to turn our new blog post (still to be published) into a video. The topic: How does the star system in French naturist campsites work.

2022-06-20 12:32:24 +0000 UTCI enjoyed all of them and found myself insta-watching as soon as they were posted. It was great to see some diversity in the content compared to just the travel videos (which are great, don't get me wrong). It feels like this is a new direction and a big step in showing the various aspects of naturist living. Kudos to you - I know how much work goes into making videos like this and doing it daily is a big challenge. p.s. Ghent looks like a lovely place to live.
