I think it’s interesting how the youngest character, Tanya, also happens to be the strongest and most mature emotionally of all the youngsters. On a side not, as a fan of folk music, I do find it pleasing that April plays the fiddle, although the style of the tune she plays is much more classical in feel than trad folk. Night visiting songs, though, are most certainly a genre of British and Irish folk song, and some of them are positively spooky.
