Early Weekly Update 11/7
Added 2024-11-08 02:40:03 +0000 UTCI'm posting a little early so I can be done with it. Current events have weighed pretty heavy on me. I really need to get it out of my head and move on with working on stuff.
I did get some standard stuff done this week, but MOST of my week has been dealing with current events.
I generally don't like to get political here, and I'll try not to get to political in this post as well, but this week has been rough.
But due to current events, and known plans of the incoming US administration, I need to have plans for what to do if certain parts of their agenda do end up coming to pass. Specifically the banning of pornography in the US.
So this week I've been looking at solutions as to what can be done if that does happen, and what shift I should make.
Some of my compatriots are thinking about leaving the country, but I don't think that's a possibility for me.
So I'll be looking at making sure the naughty bits are something that can be toned down or flat out removed (and patched back in?) if required.
I of course won't be jumping the gun on this, and I'm keeping everything as is until I am forced to make a change, but if it does come to it, I want to at the very least have a plan of action.
To those that might think the fear is hyperbolic, maybe? But I'd rather be ready as opposed to caught flat out.
