I spent some time working on a final layout for the enemy area, and try a few different building types.
For REASONS I wanted this to be a fishing village, maybe it was abandoned, and maybe the monsters forced the villagers out.
I want to have some allies, but also some verticallity without going overboard or different elevations.
I looked at a lot of different reference stuff for fishing villages, and none of the houses looked quite how I wanted, so I said F it and made a really rough fishing shack.


I obviously need to do the final models for this, but this really helped me figure out how I think it should all look.
The final stuff all needs to be quite a bit more rundown as well.
And then you can see where I've started to build some of my own props from stuff that I didn't have.
I wanted a more durable container for the player to interact with, so I built a metal lock box.
I still built parts so it can be destroyed with enough effort, but it'll be something that makes sense to take more of a beating then a wooden barrel wood.
This coming week, I'll try to do something a little dirty so its not all boring level design stuff!
