September 29th Weekly Update

This week I did some level work, as well as some model work I'm not ready to show off.
But one of the bigger things I did was start to test adding simple firearms.

The world Meridiana is exploring is a fantasy world, but they do have some 19th century technology. While magic is used for most of their technology, there are hold outs who don't trust the magicians, or can't afford their magics. These people rely on steam on gun powder.

As such things like revolvers shotguns and long rifles exist and are fairly common in this world. (we won't see semi automatic weapons, or automatic weapons, though)
However, with the existence of healing potions, and magic creatures that regenerate, guns are the be all end all, and many threats require a magic touch, or a beating with a sharp stick.(Or other methods....)
Everything still needs balancing, but I do plan on making bullets fairly expensive, and reload times fairly long(the current one is a bit too quick I think.) This will hopefully make the gun a very useful tool, but not the be all end all.

At any rate the gun and animations used here were for testing, and I personally find it very fun. Although I want to add more feedback from the enemies getting hit.

I do plan to put out a test for this, and then a more comprehensive level test sometime in October, so keep an eye out for that!
