Hope you've all enjoyed your holidays, spent the night with your relatives and received many gifts! How are your new years' resolutions going? I already messed up mine lol!

We've been working like crazy since we dropped the last patch, and we're preparing to add way too many things into the game in the next few patches as well! Now that we've got many things and buildings all around the world… Let's make our characters enjoy them!

Let's bring in the patch notes, we actually did many changes in terms of the game's UI and gameplay. You readers out there, yes I'm talking to you, have fun!

This new version of our Little Sim World has four main changes!

• Tasks:
• > You've now got a brand new app on your phone, the Tasks App. Give it a look whenever you find yourself some time.
• > There's also a new icon on the navigation bar on the top left of your screen! Click on it to view your pinned quest!
• > Little Sim World's Task System is a big thing we're adding into the game so we can teach new players how to make progress within the game, and how to survive this rough economy that we have nowadays. It's really important to us that all players are able to move around London easily, so we came up with this system to improve the learning curve that LSW has.
• > In the future, we'll also include optional, time-based quests and many more! This is the very first iteration of how Quests will work in LSW. We're still learning te-he~
• > Last but not least, at the moment there's only 1 main questline that's in the game, and that's the tutorial one. You can only do 1 quest at a time atm.




• Compass:
• >The compass has been implemented into the game, you can see it on the top right of your screen. There's an option to disable it in the settings menu.
• >Tap on buildings on your 'Map App' to select your compass' target.




• Little Police Department:
• > The Little Police Department is a building (That's still W.I.P.) that's being added to the game. Here, you'll be able to do all your citizenship work, change your name, gender, and so on so on. You'll also be taken here whenever you… Don't do things right.
• >There's also a Bulletin Board that will have optional randomized quests you can come and take. Let's help everyone in town!
• >Also, as helpful as they are, they came with a new App as well, in order to help you when you're stuck in… let's say a washing machine. Now, you can give them a quick call to ask for their help! Check out the new 'S.O.S Emergency App'.
• >The whole building is unaccessible for now.




• Personalities:
• > We are implementing our first version of Personalities! This patch includes 8 working personalities. Having any of these will actually give buffs to your character based on the activities that they do.
• > Note: The personalities that are working at the moment in the game are the ones that don't have the “Coming Soon” on their names on Character Creation.

New Content:

• Tasks App 1.0:
• >You now have a purpose in life! jkjk lol, but now you can get rewarded by completing some quests! Go step by step on every task, get rewards, git gud!
• >Tasks App: On your phone, you'll now have a brand new app, the 'Tasks App' >(Name T.B.D). Here you'll be able to pin/unpin tasks, see your whole quest log, and get into detail on each of them.
• >Pinned Quest Menu: By tapping one of the buttons on the top left of the screen, you can pin and unpin questlines. The first tutorial quest will be automatically pinned.
• >Added a welcoming notification to this system when you first enter the game.
• Updated some initial needs to not be full when the game starts to properly teach the player how to raise them.




• Compass:
• >A new interactable UI has been added to the game! The Compass!:
• Selecting the target: By tapping any buildings on the 'Map App', the player will now be able to see a compass that will always show where to go, metrics included. You won't ever get lost again!
• >Note: The compass will turn off automatically once you're close enough to your target building.
• Note 2: The compass can be turned on/off through the in-game settings.
• Little Police Emergency Service:
• >A new App has been added to the player's phone! The 'S.O.S' Emergency App!:
• >This app is one of the first things we're adding to the game that its only purpose is to make everyone's lives easier. Use this app to reposition your character to the closest store/waypoint. We got told that some people had gotten stuck sometimes so we wanted to make a small fix for these cases. Hope this solves it!
• Personality System:
• >A new way to customize yourself! Personalities! You can select 1 out of 8 working personalities, all the fully functional personalities are as follows (more to come):
• >Inventor.
• >Captain.
• >Champion
• >Promoter
• >Diplomat
• >Justice
• >Explorer
• >Leader




• Gameplay:
• >The player is now allowed to buy stuff by dragging the objects onto their basket. Tapping ain't the only way now!
• >Added some usable clothes recycling bins around the world.
• >Added filter/sorting buttons to some stores' UI.
• >Added support for rotating subspaces with other furniture on top of it (BuildMode).
• >Preparing the world so we can implement the LPD functionality in the near future.
• >Started personalities setup for future patches.
• >5 Sleep Masks have been added.




• Visual Updates:
• >You can now zoom in on the 'Map App'! Use the scroll wheel to do so.
• >Added Promotion and haggler buff icons.

Updated Content:

• Gameplay:
• >Added hat/glasses visibility toggles to Julibee, the Hair Salon.
• >Updated some Belt tags, there are more casual ones now.
• >Updated sunglasses to give them the athletic tag.
• >Added a remaining work hours countdown UI.
• >Moved the player's home to the centre of the plot (No, it's not smaller, we swear).
• >Updated the fridge's starters inventory.
• >Furniture can now be rotated with children furniture on top of it.
• >All trashcans around the world are fully working now.
• >Removed running cooldown.




• Visual Updates:
• >Many UIs have been redesigned to fit a new artstyle.
• >Many icons have been updated with new sprite imports.
• >The Leveling's Circular UI has been updated.
• >Julibee's pole light will now turn off after the store is closed.
• >Moved some wall-mounted lights visuals up.
• >Updated hair salon to turn off visibility toggles if the socket is not found.
• >Settings UI has been reworked.
• >Changed dirt and grass tiles in Bedford Square to remove the gaps and excess shadows.
• >Adjusted the scale of Buff/Debuff icons, now it matches everything.
• >Updated the Splash Screen.
• >Adjusted preview sizes and offsets.

Bug Fixes / Dev Tweaks:

• Memory usage has been highly reduced.
• Added support for 5:4 and 32:9 ratios.
• Added support to set unlimited as the frame rate.
• Updated resolutions for existing ratios to add 8k and some other missing resolutions.
• Fixed a bug that caused Lips & Cheeks losing colour when an animation resets them.
• Fixed a bug that caused a null error when de-selecting it.
• Fixed a bug that made all shops free of charge.
• Fixed many world colliders.
• Fixed a bug that caused object dragging to remain active even when the application lost focus.
• Fixed a bug that caused the Pub to vanish while still on camera.
• Fixed a bug that caused Bedford Square to vanish while still on camera.
• Fixed some Waypoints positions.
• Fixed a bug that caused some NPCs to leave Julibee with the Salon Cape on.
• Fixed some lights not turning on/off when the player is out of range.
• Fixed a bug that caused the stink FX to remain active while at work.
• Fixed pooled furniture not recovering their inventories.
• Fixed new shop to override maximum stack to be infinite.
• Fixed a bug that caused the “Finishing Painting” SoundFX to be too loud.
• Fixed a bug that caused sale pedestals to not apply the discount they were showing.
• Fixed a bug that caused pedestals not to trigger discounts from buffs.
• Fixed a bug that broke undo data storage when pressing ESC while having a furniture-removing tool selected.
• Fixed a bug that caused the Hair Salon's socket toggles not to work when rotating.
• Fixed a bug that made the Pub not show all the catalogue.
• Fixed bug that stopped being able to run after repeatedly spamming run until key in unpressed.
• Fixed starter's house chair placement.
• Edited the “Industrial Lamp” asset. Removed its duplicate from the lights atlas.
• Updated custom frame rate to have a minimum value of 1.
• Updated the Hairsalon, now it loads up faster.
• Updated selectable text to not change text colour.
• Updated button to decrease light offset when selected.
• Updated popup to reselect previous button on close.
• Repositioned the cheat menu.
• The game now will go back to regular time speed once an activity is over.

We're starting 2023 with everything we've got. We are aiming to release the game by the end of this year and we've been loving all your support. Little Sim World exists not only because of us but because of what you do, there's no game without its community.
