Weekly Update January 3rd

So this past week I added some new animation, and did some updates on my AI blueprints.

For the goblin character, I gave him a run and a death animation.    I also added another interaction animation as well.

I also went back and added some enviromental details.  This includes foliage, terrain, and some addition models.  The stuff included is all temporary, but its adds a little life, and gives the PBR something to interact with.


I also got a lot done building a general AI class that can be adapted to different types of enemies, instead of building them all individually.

Yeah, I using a pbr, unreal is good at it and indo like the look, even if my models are not photo realistic. Right now I plan on making my own foliage, and I would really like to avoid having any stock or premade assets, but we'll see what I can do. As for art direction in whole, my plan is to make it fit the characters. While I generally hand paint my models in zbrush, I don't have a problem with using stock textures on brushes to give items more texture. I'm kinda holding back to much on the enviroment stuff until I can get more traction on patreon, and know the scope of what enviroments I'll end being able to afford.

So you are using PBR then? I had my suspicions that you were when looking through your texture files. That'll look nice. ^^And as far as the environment is concerned it's all placeholder atm then? Are you using stock foliage? And as far as environment. Do you have an art direction in mind for the final product? Like are you going to go the hand painted route or just a stylized route? If so what would be the closest game you see matching what you have in mind? I personally am getting a huge Orcs Must Die vibe in the art direction atm. Which is one of my favorite game so that will be cool! Do you do concept art or just dive right in? That would help with getting an idea where you are going with this and would make for fun patreon reward for sneak peak stuff. Again... Sorry to be asking so many questions just interested. I'm amazed by the frequency of your updates. Keep up the good work!
