Coloured Clothing, Sway & Buttons ~ #36

Hello! March is finally here and we hope you’re all doing great :3

Since Pre-Alpha is coming out along with Spring here in the UK (it’s the blooming season after all), this week we wanted to take you all to see what’s new in our Lawn and Garden section. If you’re one of us who enjoys the natural vibe of a live fence, you can now decorate your garden with small bushes all around, making your very own green walkway or leafy maze! You can also check the new flower and herb planters, add them to your gardens to make them colorful and ready for Spring ╰(✿´⌣`✿)╯♡

If the lawn is just not enough, we’re also adding a vertical wall trellis with plants for those who want to take their gardens to another dimension, and a garden shelf for vases and whatever else may fit~ In this case, a froggy incense burner. Since we’re talking about the outdoors, you now can also decorate your house with soccer and basket balls, for all you sports fans out there!

Going back indoors, you can check some things we’ve been wanting to create for the longest time: a full makeup set for all you beauty enthusiasts, and a guitar for the artists! Since not everything can be fun and chores are a part of life, here’s also a washing machine and a toolbox just to make sure it does feel like home! (◍• 3 •◍)❤

Now a UI update (and a gif nonetheless), this week you can see how we’re planning to do our button animations, a little click that will work on most buttons in the game. The greatest challenge here was making it cute while also giving weight and responsiveness to the action. These may sound like small details, but there’s just a lot of thought that goes into everything the players will interact with, as we want you to have a good time through and through.

Ready for something that is personally extremely exciting? On another gif you can see our character changing clothes in real time! The system is finally ready for clothes changing and coloring as well. It’s a huge step for the game after we updated our animation rig, so much effort was put into this. As you can see the result is very natural and all clothes are working with the animation.

Some additional steaming hot animation news with this fresh, rhythmic batch this week. The gif with six characters shows two different sets of idle animations we’ve been working on, these will play every time the character is not performing any activity and will be applied to NPCs as well, so this is a big one. We’ve struggled to choose one because both fit great, but we’re going with the left one based on how joyful it feels overall.
