I know, I know, of all the chapters to make you wait another few days... but it's precisely because it's a significant chapter that I need to make sure I'm getting everything down correctly. My personal life has not been cooperating with my writing schedule - for mostly good reasons, but even good things take away from writing time.

Since I'm making an schedule post already, a few more housekeeping items: there will be no chapter August 16th, since I'm going to be traveling and very busy during my normal writing time for that week.

Other than that, I plan to keep on writing until the story is done, which should be sometime around the end of 2023 unless I've really cocked up my estimations. It's possible I'll take another skip week before the very end, either because of holidays or because the final chapter is likely to be twice the length of a normal chapter (or more).

I'm really enjoying the process of unifying all of the scattered plot threads that have manifested during the story, although I'm noticing a distinct impact on my writing speed now as the amount of reference work increases. I have a good idea of how all the pieces need to fall, though, so barring any especially-problematic unknown-unknowns I think I just need to sit down and write the darn thing.
