Looking op, she saw Therliss, standing in front of the throne with a knife to the Jarl’s throat. “Let her go,” she said, “I’ll let your jarl go unharmed once the two of us are outside your walls and no one follows.” The jarl’s bodyguards were caught completely unprepared, and took aggressive stances. “Stay back, for her sake.”
