Hey-to-the-ho, beWildernaut-arinos! My my, it’s getting tricky to come up with unique greetings for these posts again. But that means I’m flexing my posting fingers a lot again and that is a great feeling. How are we all doing in the wider beWilderverse? We ready to hear about another week’s closing progress? Well I’m ready to tell, so here goes! We’re halfway through August now and right on the edge of another release, so let’s talk and gawk!
Week 6 fully producing (only 6? Really?) and this is what the last week has gotten us:
Goal: Complete the remaining CGs on the To-Do list, all 15, render as much as possible, and while that’s happening send time getting as much Post-Pro and Text testing done as I can. A slightly vague goals list, but one with room to manage.
Accomplished: 17 New CGs, yes 17, because I decided to add a little more to the sexy action and extend it since I had the chance, the time and I felt it would be beneficial. On top of that 1 Scene Fully Post-Pro’d (Scene #3), 1 Scene fully texted and tested in engine (Scene #2), 1 Scene’s texts engine readied (Scene #3) and even 1 of 2 full game playtests.
Yes, it’s been a real push of a week! I’m doing my best to keep to the target of Monday 25th, and it’s so far still looking so good for it. Wanna see how that all looks on the bars?

We’ve completed the biggest and most time consuming part of release production, and the hottest too since the render machine makes you sweat sitting near it while it works, I tell you. All that’s left to get to a release is about 30% of the content to Post-Pro, plus 2 Scenes to get in the engine and test with texts and images together. I’ve playtested the game from start to finish in Unity once already, happy to report it’s still possible to unlock all content in 1 play in True Mode if you play well, but I still feel like it would be a good thing to playtest a full build as it’s been a while since I did that. All-in-all, that’s about a full week’s work still left barring problems turning up, but that means it’s looking very good for a release in August, if not very soon.
So that’s the progress, now where’s the eyecandy! I hear ya…

At this point I’m getting close enough to a release that I’m not so sure if spoilering things with a tease is really the wisest move. That being said, that instinct fights inside with my wanting to make sure you can all be confident in the progress I’m posting. Seeing is believing after all, and credibility matters to me… “Ah, now there’s the rub!”, to quote a great Dane. So what to do, what to do…
… Alrighty, I’ll show you something. After all, not everyone here is a Daring fan who will be playing oh so soon. However, I won’t give too much away, not even a full CG! Muhaha…! How’s this for a tease? Has a portrait image ever been enough to raise an eyebrow before…?

On a totally other teasing tract… This version is a lot of character work and relationship playing, given the fact it’s still the early dozen of Brad’s scenes that was inevitably going to be true. There’s also a reason I dubbed the version “The Wandering Wife-to-be, Pt1” in the Public Teaser too. I’m already looking ahead to the scenes of the next version where the focus shifts a lot more to what Noe does rather than how Brad feels, but you’ll all find some delight in the scenes soon to drop. (Here comes the tease!) Especially if you’ve got an ntr vibe fetish, a smoking fetish or like crazy like the portrait above! Really, sometimes I think the girls forget they are supposed to be working in a restaurant!
Oh, and another thing I’ll make mention while I’m here, just so this post feels extra teasery even without much art this time… Keep an eye out players, because I had opportunity to use some of our past concepts in game as extra decoration in some places… well 2 places… and they aren’t hidden too much, honestly, but still! Now that I’ve got the environments I’m able to make them just a little more beWilder specific, because that’s how I like’m! That’s not the only type of Easter Egg to spot in this version, there is another, but I’ll let y’all figure out what’s more to see in time. Muhaha!

Misc News of the Week
In other news around the beWilderverse…
I’ve been keeping in touch with Unshi over the last while, and this week had a little shine of good news to our interactions. We’ve not just been co-creating partners for years and years now, we’re also buddies, and we’ve been trying to put in the effort and time to keep that link alive. I mention it because this week he tells me after a couple of months break to reflect and work on his burnout, he’s getting back into Daz again and finding the fun in creating flirty, fun images once more. That’s honestly great news. He’s considering working through his years of burnout with some personal project work in future, so I for one will be rooting for him and hope some of you will too if he ever takes it to the point he shares his creations again.
Things are starting to look up across the board for us both and beWilder since were we hit the wall back in April/May. Let’s keep it going strong and reach even higher heights than before!
The Week Ahead
So here’s the plan for next week: It’s hard to say for sure if I’ll be able to press the release together in time to send by Friday night, but that’s what I’m going to try. If I can without rushing it over the last hurdle, I will, so that fans can have some Noemi over the weekend coming after. I already listed what’s left to do above so I won’t repeat it here. If I can get the game released before Monday 25th, that means there won’t be a Status post like this next Friday (keep an eye out on Discord for news like that).
If there’s no post next week, I’ll tell you my plans for the week after here too. The next version has a new character to build (my first as the artist, let’s see how that goes) and some version pre-production to handle so I’ll be doing that for the intro week to v0.25, as well as the handover post for a little fun. Consider it a good stretching as we ready for the next run.
So that was the week that was #11! On our way to release number #2 now… That’s a feat I wasn’t 100% would be possible back when I took over the reins, but here we are, well on the way. It’s wonderful to see NTR have such live again even if I’m not the most talent in the job, so let’s keep it going and make v0.24 a reality! Until then…
