Here’s to The New Year!

Hello, hello, h-e-l-l-o!

beWilder here once again, fresh off a release and feeling pumped up! Y’all don’t know how deeply and dearly we’ve been wanting to say that! It’s been a while and it’s been too long, we know.

Since the women are flowing like wine once more and things seem to be brightening again, it’s time to start picking our heads up and look ahead to the future, find that path that will meet the back with the high road we once trod. Rather, it’s about time we take some time, free of a release on the shoulders, to breath and take a better stock of ourselves. It’s still the holidays (in Spain/Catalonia anyways), with a whole new year ahead of us, and a whole new chance to take the bull by the horns and fight our way back to what we used to be. No Pamplona style running away, not here! Ha!

(And oldie but a goodie from the past vault. We’re just a little bit behind the clock, but Happy New Years from us!)

This post was originally about 2 things when we first wrote it, but in the week since New Years, the holidays are now closer to the end then the start and made 1 of them a little moot. Still, it's worth a whisper and we’ve got something else to make mention of instead as we’re sure a few of you are curious as to why the page charges are paused, huh? Let chat, shall we!

From around Christmas to about the 10th-14th is our usual Holidays Hiatus time, since that’s the time the rest of the world slows and even shuts down for a few days to celebrate and recalibrate for the next go around the sun. We usually pull it in shifts, first Spook2009 has his Christmas time and then Unshi on the art side has the “Feliz día de Reyes” celebrations in the days around Jan 6th. It’s a short time to breath as well as just take a few chances to spend time with loved ones, and to happily embrace the things that drive us to create our best…

… Well, we’re already past Jan 6th now, so that’s what we mean by it being somewhat moot. Still, we’ve mentioned it because Unshi will still be away a few days, back next week, and from there we’ll be penning our updated Roadmap plans for the week of Jan 20th, our team birthday! We’ll be around the Discord as always, but we’ll leave it until then for our next word on here.

Yup, January 20th is our beWilder Birthday again, and with it will come of renewed paths ahead for AoH and NTR, as well as our larger plans for the year head. We’ll leave it until then to get technical and detailed in our designs, but we think we will all agree that those last year’s sets had the best intentions, somewhere along the line the track bent, and the train tumbled off it. It did. So that’s another reason for taking a contemplative moment out, to shake off all the rust and take a real look inside as to what happened now that we’re not playing catch up with ourselves and our year for the first time since starting on Nat’s lasted misadventure.

That said, we know the top line of it all: AoH has created a drag on motivations and even a sense of depression at times. The rub is that we’re so close to finishing it, it feels like getting over the last few hurdles and completing the race is the better option than quitting on the last lap, you know? But 2024 is strong evidence to the contrary, we can see… And so, the next couple of weeks will also be about getting our internals right, so that we can keep on taking Agent of Heels to the finish it deserves, as timely as possible, but without tipping the train off the tracks again in 2025. No easy answers, sure, but we’ll find some yet. It’s time to be positive again after all!

And some positively good news! We don’t need to wait until the roadmaps hit to tell you all: The engine that helps drive the beWilder train forward the last few years has been Noemi and NTR, and there’s no love lost there at all! It’s been too long, and so starting up this still fresh new year we’ll be taking 2 express lines to 2 new versions to start us off and make our Spring bounce, so let that be the hype to get us going happy! There’s also the big finish arc for our still ongoing bWW!24 (now bWW!24-25) to inject even more of a surge into us and be the headwinds in our sails on our epic voyage back to Philly. This is our news to seize the highs of the moment and the whole new chance the changing calendars gift us.

So what about that thing with the page charges being paused? Well, the reason isn’t so secret. As you can see, we’re planning to take a deep breath in during January, using the time to lay down our tracks again and heating up our steam engines. Because of that, it’ll be late into Jan or early Feb when we kick off our handover to Noemi again and get back to beWilder Island and bWW!, so we decided it’s best to give y’all a break while we do so. Fair, right? Plus, giving we wanted to get AoH out before New Years but it was a week behind that line, we also wanted to show we’re starting the year out with action and changing behaviours for the better. Who’d take our Roadmaps seriously if we’re not showing any signs of trying better before them, huh? So enjoy a pause on us for January! Charges will be back up Jan 31st and we’ll be making good on this new year’s new start on the next release by then, no doubt.

Alright now. This is getting to be a long and rambling post, but we’ve had a few things to say and it’s been all bottled up lately. It’s great to be breathing easy again though! Here, have another something to look at from the vault before we say 1 last thing important to us…

Lastly, we thank you all for the patience and love sent our way the last year. We’ve not been able to live up to our team moniker as well as we would have liked, but we’ve never lost the desire to see the beWilderverse blossom and keep on growing. Y’all having not lost the love of the fandom either is what makes us able to grasp that inward desire and morph it into actual content we can all enjoy. So once again, our apologies and thanks for the year gone by. Let 2025 be the year we show it again as much or more than it needs to be said! You can’t keep a good man (or pair of them) down, so…!
