A Ho-Ho-Holiday Check In!

Hey-hi all and hola too. Spooky2099 here, checking in to touch base with y’all before the holidays. They’re coming up fast, huh! Been a while since we checked in too, although if you’ve been checking on our Discord we’ve been around and kicking there more in recent months. Still, about time we say a little something on here too.

Posting about Caroline doesn’t seem so long ago, but it’s been our longest post drought ever so we’d better address it at least a little. It’s as simple as it is perhaps a bit silly, but the reason is we’ve been working at getting content made at the cost of all else. We wanted to have this post be “AoH Released!” (and for it to be some weeks ago at that), and we sort of got caught up in a sunken cost situation, or to put it another way, we’ve waited this long, just a little more and we’ll have the release to post and it’ll be fine… In retrospect, not the best idea.

(Who better to break the silence with than her? Even the wrapping paper is in beWilder colours. Pairs well with her classic Easter bunny suit shot too, huh?)

Well, what better reason to break that up again and get back to posting than the holidays? In fact, we wanted to make something clear before everyone starts winding down for the season and starts looking ahead to the new year: We’re still working over Agents of Heels, but at last, at last, it’s to a point we can start crowing about it. Huzzah! Speaking personally about this, I’ve become so very, very upset and angered over the last few years at all the jumping the gun we’ve done as a team, with our optimistic “Just a couple more weeks (* fingers crossed *)” predictions, which is why I called a halt to the monthly goals posts earlier this year and have been quiet on giving out dates to get hopes up and then down, especially lately, so I hope this comes with some weight to it when we say we’re almost there now.

Our year isn’t over yet, and unlike many, as half the team here is Catalonian, the real holiday season for us is built around the 6th of January’s Feast (the 12th Day of Christmas, FYI), so we won’t be taking our 2 week hiatus until after Auld Lang Syne has been sung, at least not when it comes to game production…

… So here’s the news:

The Not So Nice – We’re posting this post today rather than the post we’ve been sitting on for some time because Natasha and AoH won’t be ready before Christmas on Wednesday, but we didn’t want there to be no word before attentions turn away for the year.

The Very Nice – Content is starting to get pasted into the engine by now, which means we’re all but a few touch ups away from finally having the artistry all competed, and the building is the easiest part. We still want to take enough time to make sure it’s done right, because after the wait who wants a bug to interrupt their fun on the last hurdle? We’re expecting it to come some time between the 28th and the 31st. Every Daring supporter from May when it was first to drop to the day of release will be sent links out in the following day(s) so we keep that promise to all.

The In Between – AoH won’t be our last word for the year. We’ve got a post we’ve wanted to share in hopes of sparking a new drive ahead for the new year ahead. We’ve saved it for, and think it’s best still to read, after we have content in hand again so it’s not just words spoken without action. We’ll see y’all again then!

More so, I hope y’all are happy to hear we’re still alive and kicking, and even happier to hear we’re pushing towards ending the year on an upward note.
