beWilder’s Wildest: Round #2, Match #2 - Post Match! (NSFW Version)

Hello, hello, and welcome back to the coziest corner on the wildest island in the whole… well, beWilderverse! Did you think I was going to say which waters we’re in? You did, didn’t you? Well, at least I can say I’ve gotten a little fun of my own back for once, but how about we dive into some share delights and some serious talk too? Yes, hello number 3 and a hi from me, your hostess Caroline and also from my ‘chick of the week’ who’s with me for this weeks beWilder’s Wildest! postgame!

… And since that wasn’t a sunny ‘Aloha’ you just heard, I feel that might be the game give away early, but let’s do the usual summary squawking anyway, since it’s about half my job, other than doing humiliating things or stripping down and dancing and all that.

… Alrighty then, for those of you who were not in on the game to play it, here’s how it all went down! We’ve decided the left side of the brackets come Round 2 and even as it looked most likely to happen and at times with as close as it came, it’s only in an alternate history can I sit here and tell you that AoH has swept the side. In an upset outcome given the first round’s counts for these ladies, Asana took the win and with it her second ‘W’ of the tourney. Yes, the OC (Original Character) comes out on top and sees herself through to Round 3, putting NTR’s first foot forward into the Semi-Finals and with it setting up our first ever official bWW!18 season rematch between her and Lara Croft! Oh who delicious that’s going to be! But that’s all ahead of us yet, plenty far ahead at that we shouldn’t snap off the edge of our seats just yet! Instead let’s get comfy in the lounge area with what is truly or first deep dive in with the one and only Gwen Stacey, who sadly didn’t make the cut of the Final 4, but put in a Hell of a swing trying!

…I’m not feeling one, no…Thankfully. Now as I was saying. You wouldn’t be the only girl to land here with a sore mood to go with a sore backside, you didn’t exactly come here straight from a spanking. Surprisingly for a later game match up with some very attractive ladies, plus knowing your score from Round 1 which we’ll touch on later, it was a low turnout match. Only 5 votes decided the outcome, 13-8 against you… Though I guess that being said those votes really do matter as it was nearly 67-33 if you go by percentages of total vote. Anything to say about that at all?

I can’t claim it’s all homefield advantage for the other girl, can I? Guess not. I don’t know what to really tell you other than for a character who’s practically had her debut in this contest, and who seriously lived up to the name of ‘Wildcard’, I did damn well for myself. Look at my opposition and tell me you’d not throw a leg over? So convincing more than a 3rd of the turnout to prefer getting their web out for me instead… I’ll take that.

That’s a pretty good outlook to have. Good for you, Gwen. I will remind you though that we’re picking the most favourite woman of the beWilderverse here, through popularity contest rules. It’s not a “who I’d most like to nudge-nudge” contest, if you understand me.

 Frustrated sigh . Here I thought you’d be different. Maybe I should get real. Alright, well, since I for one am particularly interested in getting into the personal section with you for this one, I’ll move us on to the next question and your last match.

For a new face… Or at least a still fresh one… To exit the contest with a 1-1 record is a solid performance. Some of the more prominent girls are on careers of 0-2 by now so being tied is not a bad place to be. Add to it you set the tournament high watermark record for all of Round 1 and still thus far when you beat Beth with 25 votes to her 4. We’ve already grilled Beth on that performance, but how about you’re take.

Ok, so I’m not going to lie, that felt amazing. First time out of the gate and I blow away the competition. 6-to-1 victory with a vote to spare? “Suck it everyone else, I’m now the girl to beat! Looks like I’ll be picking up a lot more work around the page now, doesn’t it”. Pretty much what I would have said to you after if you’d been interviewing the winners…

… What I don’t want to be sayin’ is that the calibre of my opponent played a lot into it, but now it’s looking damn self-evident so I might as well. I could understand slipping a few votes as the contest heats up into the middle rounds and all, but to go from 25 to 8? Half of that might be Ms. Golden Brown’s doing, but half or maybe more might just’ve been the fact Beth is Beth. I mean I didn’t exactly smash the records battle Black Cat or MJ or even some real niche pervs’ kind of thing in a Venom symbiote… I just beat out a third-tier henchgirl who didn’t even have her usual partner to prop her up either. Tough as that sounds, I might as well say it before you do.

That might be a little harsh of a way to put it, but your point is taken, sure. And yes, sometime I do have to snap a girl back to reality with some harsh counter truths, but I don’t do it to be mean, I do it to give the counter perspective on things, which is what I’m going to do now for you too, only I might just cheer you up.

I might be speaking a touch out of turn here when I say this, since the boys upstairs haven’t cleared this with me yet but I still figure, yes Beth wasn’t anybody’s first pick for the top of the podium on this one. That’s the cool thing about this contest, it’s not just battling it out for the actual ranks, it’s about measuring up against yourself and breaking expectations… Even if Beth… didn’t. That being the case, for a first timer out there to set a record? We all took note. In fact, I checked, and if not for a massive blowout of a match in bWW!18 where Natasha won with 29, you’d hold the overall best performance record. A 25-4 might just be the biggest win difference we’ve recorded too, that I’ll have to check as well, but even so… Putting up more than 2 dozen votes in a single match? That’s a feat not even the reigning champ Lara can claim at time of print, nor can the top NTR Seed Noemi either for that matter.

Ok, great. Love it. What’s your point though? Trying to get the contract publishing the statistical almanac for these things for a job after this hostess gig runs out or what…?

No… Hrrm, wait. No? No. I’m not. My point is that comment of yours back there that “Looks like I’ll be picking up a lot more work around the page now, doesn’t it” might not actually be that far off. Maybe you’re position amongst the Top 8 will come with a few second thoughts between now and when/if we do this all again, but for sure you’re going to get a few more looks in by then I’d be willing to personally bet.

Oh yeah? How sure? “I’d bet my shirt” sure? Ha.

As safe a bet as I think that is, I’ve done that enough already! Thank you.

You think? There’s still what, 6 matches left? I’mma say it again, girl. Get real Caroline.

Maybe I will, Ok? Ok. Speaking of real things, one last measure of your mettle for this run of the game, yes? So this is where we usually set up the ranks we can now that we’ve seen the end of another try for the title. Thing is, it sure is a lot harder to do this round, especially since you and Cat finished just 2 votes apart. Going by Round 1 rules, that’s put you at 7th… Coincidentally Asana’s finishing position in bWW!18… And that’s tentatively where we’re going to leave you.

Tentatively?

Yeah… We said to Cat we’d take more into account this time, for a more solid set of who’s the Top of our Pops, so to speak, that a simple Single Elimination set up will allow for with it’s elements of luck of the draw weighing so heavily… You know, the thing you just said yourself about Beth and all?

God damn it, I knew I should have kept my mouth shut!

That wouldn’t have helped. Like I said, we made this stance last week, so… And with the variables of know just how high up the board Lara and Asana will end up for sure not set, though the rest of the Rounds will make those decisions for us, we can’t say just how strong of an opposition it was those votes were garnered against and should be weighted up as, you know? If I’m really pushed to make a call… I might just think at least right now that Raven and Lara’s combined strength might just overcome a 2 or possibly even a 7 vote deficit to be honest. I’ll have to check that statistical almanac I’m writing.

But enough about contests and contestants for a little while, let’s talk all about you. It’s time for that time again. Into the personal side of things for us. I like to start it off looking to the future so let’s go there as always: What will we see coming next for our SpiderGwen?

Not another match-up, that’s for sure now. Can’t say I know anything after that but I’ve got my hopes.

…  Tsk  Maybe I should stop asking this question first, if at all. That’s another ‘I don’t know’ for my collection. Then again, this is the 3rd parody girl in a row so I guess that’s to be expected at where we are on the AoH side… Tell me about those hopes then. That’s still a good way to get to know you.

I’m not one for dreaming big being a logical science-minded kind of gal, so this might come as a bit of a lowball take, but I have ideas of turning up more in those “fun posts” you guys do. Raven’s gotten like 5 of them by now plus at least a holiday appearance… Why not me? What’s wrong with me? I can do the cool, alt-girlfriend stuff if you want me too, and you want a girl that’s done better than Kriem ever did here. No offense. And I can be your cute little co-ed with the blonde and beautiful vibes either. I figure it’s about time somebody steal a few appearances from ‘Kel-Kels’.

Whoa now. You’re picking fights here with important girls. That’s Team Noe participation you’re taking on, maybe they can stand to give up a few posts… Not that Kriem actually gets much play time come to think… But they aren’t exactly going anywhere either. NTR’s still on the rise.

Hey, they’re the 2-time losers, not me. You’re the one who said 1-1 is a lot better than their 2-0, so why haven’t I earned more face time compared to the likes of them? They even have in-game appearances, the Holy Grail around here, so leave them to that…

… Or don’t. Whatever. Spread the love a bit is all I’m saying, not “picking fights”, though I’ll stand up to one if they try anything. I don’t take crap from Frank Castle or Sue Storm, I ain’t taking it from Pinky and the Brainless if they contest the facts. 

Ok, at first I believed you, but now I know for sure that’s going to antagonize them. I’m going to stop this train before it really pulls out of the station, lest the boys upstairs really crack down on me for dropping this mess on their hands!

Let’s go back to the main point you brought up. You’d like to be in more concepts? Sounds fair. What would that look like then?

Like I said, I can fit a few niches you might want filled or reinforced, or go my own lane and be your college chick? You’ve got a lot of teens and ‘about 20-somethings’ on the roster I notice, but not a girl in higher education, let alone STEM, what’s that about? You know the amount of adult activity happens on college grounds…?

You know the amount of games in this genre also happens on college grounds? That’s not to say I haven’t seen a thing or 2 backstage while researching bWW! history that gave me a few glimpses of what might come in future… And it’s not to say I can for sure confirm anything here, but it’s not like college settings are off the beWilder table completely… But hey, aren’t we having fun playing Spies and Waitresses? Let’s have more of that first before we-

Better you than me, I only asked a fair question. I think we only know of Kate, Noemi and Frankie ever going to the big leagues of schooling, and that was for fashion, food and arts + history respectively. 2 of the 3 are long graduated too, and the other was bounced out for fooling around within weeks. So what I’m getting at is, let me get in on the open goal you’ve got going there and we all win. Hell, let me do it in a red plaid skirt and see if you can keep me out of becoming an in-game character then. Wanna challenge a girl on those grounds?

I… I don’t have the power to do that, so…

Yeah, figured. Not keen on “losing your shirt”, I get it. Still a cop out, but whatever.

If that doesn’t work for you, shove over that other wildcard and let me show you some of my powers. Hell, I’ve not even debuted my Spider Suit look to its fullest yet, or even before today, and I got this far! I’ve shown my chest off but not that? What gives with that? And since I’m in this contest and to do that I had to be “full and ready”… non-techie geeks read that at “anatomically correct”, I’ve got all the parts you could ever want and need of me, so just let me in a few pics already. I’ll earn Round 3 in the next contest yet, just let me try it. 33 votes total can’t be wrong!

Ok. I’ll admit that’s a fair argument. Again I’ve got to “cop out” and say I don’t get to decide that, but the powers that be will sure hear it. They did call for this contest after all, got to learn from what they’ve brought about…

… And honestly, what you’re asking for is a lot more reasonable and doable than some are asking for. Don’t think we’ll be seeing that ‘Agents of Heels: The 9 Lives of Catwoman’ or whatever it was anytime soon... Even if she’s still up to her mischief trying to earn it, I see... If only there was that much content to go around, we’d all be so happy.

Speaking of making girls happy, I think it’s starting to get close to the time I should be asking you who of the remaining 6 of your once rivals gets to smile with your support behind them. The woman with that 25 high point has probably got some notable weight behind her voice. So who gets it?

Oh, yeah, having lost in Round 2 right after I’m sure I help a lot. Didn’t we cover all of this above already?

That being said, I’m going to throw in my lot with Quiet. Let her win it.

Quiet, you say? Alright, she’s still a name in the hat so I’ll happily take it. Care to tell the fans why her…?

… All that and because she’s the only girl left now I’m out that’s not even been in a game yet, so let the woman with my same struggle get the boon. Before you say it, Lara’s been in a Mini-VN and I’m counting that, and who really gives a shit about Dyana? Her face appears in AoH somewhere, so that’s good enough for me to cross her off. 

You really are throwing elbows to get in the conversation today, aren’t you? Controversy sadly does have its effectiveness, but don’t cause trouble for the next match! That still being said, I’ll take Quiet as having you’re support… And not just because having her here to be interview is going to be real Hell on me…  Oof …

… Alright then, I’ve only got one last question for you before we say goodbye. Hopefully it won’t be goodbye for 5 more years, and hopefully you don’t flame another girl with your answer… Please, please, please…

So, Gwen, is there anything you’d like to say to the fans while we’re still in front of them? Anything at all?

Yeah, ‘course I do. More than you’re ever going to have room to print. I’ll keep it brief though… Brief-ish. I’ll keep it to the most import thing anyways.

The reason I want to be included more and shown off is because I really like being a beWilder girl, honestly I do. Might not be great at showing it, but, yeah. Since I got in the door, I want to stay here, that’s all. Show up and be a part of it all.

I wanted to go farther in this contest for that reason, but these are the brakes. Hard for me to believe I made such an explosive start out of the gate to come off it at a 1-1 ending like this, but at the same time, I did kick some ass, didn’t I? Not every girl gets their ti,ts out, so I say I earned at least some of my wildness stripes. Right? And I’ve been meaning to say…

… Sure, a lot of what I got accomplished here was all me, I mean look at me… But most of it was all you guys. Thanks for voting for me. I hope together we did enough to keep this girl web-swinging strong!

Fan-f’ing-tastic! Why is it never a spa day I get signed up for? I’d get naked for that! If… If I had to… Same old, same old around here. At least this time I’ll get a nightstick I can beat back Sal with, right? Great. Anyway…

… At least I can indulge in the part of my job I do love, and that’s hosting matches! There’s still 2 more matches and half of Round 2 to play through, and it’s been a real treat to see returning faces, hasn’t it? 2 more Semi-Final spots left, and after this upset match who can really say they know what’s going to for sure happen next? Least of all the next contests, as come Sunday 21st, it’s  Dyana “Hotstuff” Carson vs Francesca “Frankie” Moreau! They’ll put up all new numbers as well as much beloved body shots each, making me already eager to dive on into another bout and postgame already! Will Dyana keep on putting Philly waitresses’ hopes in the fire, or will Frankie show just how much heat she can stand in or out of the kitchen? Until we find out…
