Roadmapping 2024: Agents of Heels’ Path Ahead

Hello, hello, fans and friend-os, welcome to our opening post of substance to kick off 2024! It’s January once again, a fresh month, a fresh year, a fresh start! We’ve broken ground on the first content to the new year already now that we’re all charged up after the holidays and set to pounce on the opportunities ahead. Before we do though, January is the time we take to lay out our plans ahead so everyone in touch with the beWilderverse can settle themselves in for the journey ahead the next 12 months. So let’s get going on that starting with our first instalment in said universe, our Agents of Heels series. What’s the next run of wildness got in store?



2023 – Getting Here

Before we get into the road ahead, a quick sum up of the path that got us here for those not watching us each and every month… The last time we took this time out for refection, we posted the 2023 roadmap here. To make a long story short, we wanted to make some leaps and bounds that would put us in a place where this year would be the year we could plant a flag and say “Our first game is complete! Hooray!”… And alas, we made a leap, but no bounds… And so we’ve got ground to still make up. This year will be doing as much as we can to finish off plans of last year since we’re not suddenly injecting episodes of new content or anything like that. For fans who read up on our last setlist of plans of AoH, expect this post to be similar as we keep pushing towards completion.


Top Line Road Map

Once again, we’re starting off our AoH plans with a simple, singular goal in mind: Get as close to v1.0 as we can. It’s been a long time in the works, but we’re still chasing that particular crimson-coloured Dragon. We’re already in the “Endgame” as we put it last year, as Mission #3 (aka the Finale) is underway in all paths at this point, so it’s really just a case of time, attention and elbow grease until we are there. We won’t be able to reach v1.0 this year however, so our real goal for 2024 in practice is to get as close as we can so that 2025 will be v1.0 achievable.

We expect to have 3 Releases for AoH in 2024, starting in mid-Spring after the currently in production NTR release is complete. Each of these versions will be like the last 2, coming in with approximately 150% of a standard release content as we do up the finale with full impact. There’ll be content for each of Heels, Maeda/Ivy and Solo/Bad Nat among them, so danger, daring and lewds for all. Those are the headlines to take away at a glance.


Scenes and Content

In this section we’re going to drill down a little bit more on those versions planned and what’s to be expected as we push forward on our goal as a whole. If you’d rather be surprised, nows your chance to skip to the next section, we’ll be there waiting for you!

Still here? Alrighty then, let’s talk turkey, shall we? Mission #3 is all that’s left in the game, but it’s a big chunk of an already big game, and as a whole it’ll actually take up a substantial fraction of overall project. We’ve already seen 2 versions for 2 Nats as they get about ~40% of their own missions complete, so it’s plain to see looking at it that way we’ve still got a lot of shovelling to do, right? Indeed.

First things first, it’s been a while since we’ve seen any Bad Nat (now Solo Nat) so it’s our top priority to give her fans some sizzle as well as get her back to parity with the other versions of herself. That’s 2024’s first release.

Achieving that, we’ll at last have all 3 Nats up to or about the halfway point with our final mission, so after that we’ll go back around to the top. Between the next 2 versions after we’ll be taking Heels and Maeda/Ivy Nat’s through their second halves now that they are inside the Heels building and facing even tougher adversities on her way to the top floor penthouse.

Taking a look back at the top view for a moment, our plan is to by the end of this year have 2 of the 3 Nats at the ultimate finale for them. The last scene. Toeing the line of finishing off their stories and final decisions. Bittersweet but a place we want to finally be. Next year we can get the last Nat there too, do out best to have our last blasts across 1-2 versions, and tackle a post-content clean up version for fixing up miscellaneous things (remove stats UI, clean up the gallery, etc) before calling it v1.0 at long last. You can see why that’s a tall order to complete in 1 year, but including 2025 we should be able to get there. Here’s to a damn good try!


Too Long, Didn’t Read

And that’s that, honestly. We could go on and on, more and more, dig deep and spill the beans almost to the letter, but that’s best saved for playing the game itself, right? We think so too. It’s pretty straight forward too, isn’t it? A straight shot from here to the game’s finish, or at least as close as we can get to it in this year ahead.

For those that’s would like a short recap to be able to come back to time and time again this year ahead, or simply for those who’d prefer the reader’s digest, here’s the TL:DR bullet points:

- Our singular goal for AoH is to get the game to it’s completion at v1.0, without skimping on the quality, content or lewds. We can’t finish all that in 2024 alone as we are still making up for lost time in 2022-2023, but we’ll get most of the way there.

- We’re aiming for 3 full releases for 2024, starting at v0.27 through to v0.29, each one being 150% content versions as v0.25 and v0.26 have been.

- Content will be aimed at Bad/Solo Nat firstly, as our currently most lagging path, then later for Heels (Good) and Maeda/Ivy (Corrupt) Nats, so each path will be supplied content this year, all going to plan.

- Still no time this year to revamp the gameplay side of things or attend to non-urgent technical aspects like the Gallery UI touch-ups or the stats UI removal.

There it is, in black and white, our plans for AoH and the year ahead. Straightforward as it is, it’s good to see it set down for all to see, so now we can start making goals come true. We hope you’re all as pumped to see what we’ve got our minds on and are all hungry for a tasting same as us.

We’ll break ground on these plans right after Noemi’s in-progress content, and speaking of Noemi we’ll be back to do this again for here in the coming days. Expect that one to be a longer, deeper posting since that side of our beWilderverse still as many paths and pieces to put into place as we play, so fair warning!
