0.22.0 Patch Notes
- Technical information
⦁ Version: 0.22.0
⦁ Weight: 4.19 GB
⦁ Weight Packed: 3.19 GB
- Content
This version is our beginning of the End Game phase, as we close out some fan favourite characters and event lines, lay some paving for future content with characters involved with AoH, and begin our move towards the finale of Mission #3. All Nats enjoy additional content (to varying degrees) as Good Nat begins her intro to the last big event chain.
Heads Up!: While not necessary, it is advised for Good Nat players to keep copy of a save of your playthrough thus far, as once the introduction to Mission #3’s day begins in this version, you will be kept within event line until the conclusion of the Mission.
⦁ [SPOILER] 2 new Main Story Scenes for Good Nat. One is a short piece to jumpstart things and get the wheels in motion again, acting as a notice to players to ready for the End Game and Mission #3. The other is a full scene, starting the End Game and Mission #3! Nat has to take care of her “hosting” duties before things start to reach a climax or she’ll be in trouble, but luckily Scout is there to help her clear a few things off her bucket list before then.
⦁ [SPOILER] 1 new Park Scene for Corrupt Nat featuring the fan favourite Bum, to finish out his storyline with a bang by fan demand. Nat comes looking to settle scores, but finds her job is much harder than expected due to her opponent’s woes.
⦁ [SPOILER] 1 new Kate Scene to cap off her party for all Nats, and its consequences for Kate’s plan to get her friendship with NTR’s Kelsey back on track.
⦁ Added 4 days to Good Nat’s playtime (up to Day 25), 1 day to Corrupt and Bad Nat’s (Day 21-22). Good Nat now has all the runway needed to complete all side content and exploration at an easy pace before Mission #3 automatically begins. Corrupt and Bad Nat have enough time added for new content to play, while saving the remaining days for lead in during the next version.
⦁ 6 Redone Act 1 Scenes to complete the full set. Now the entire game’s scene selection is in a singular style, the Spooky beWilder Style! These scenes include:
- The Entire Mission #1 (from v0.5), including all paths in the Interrogation Scene and the Bank Raid sections, ready to relieve as Mission #3 arrives.
- Nat’s first visit to Maeda’s Club Kaikaku and meeting the man himself (from v0.4), including her dancing for him and General Miller.
- Nat’s post shower encounter with Scout as her protection (from v0.4), and the teasing she does to him in and out of her bathrobes behind his back.
- 2 Short Gameplay Subway Scenes (v0.3 and v0.4 respectively), triggered when Nat moves between locations in the early days of the game.
- 1 Equality Short Gameplay Suntanning Scene (circa v0.3-4), for when low infected Nat spends time by the pool alone.
⦁ 54 new CGs, ~17,000 words of new text.
- Features
⦁ This version contains the first scene in the preamble build-up to Mission #3, thus officially starting our End Game phase, at least for the Good Nat path (more Nat’s to follow in coming versions). We will be focused on the final action of Mission #3 from here on out, resolving story points, event lines, and leading to the end of our first game. While this is in practice a small step in opening that process, it’s a major milestone in development and a turning point in the direction for the remainder of development.
⦁ By fan demand, we’ve extended the Bum event line by a scene for Corrupt Nat, now finishing off this series of encounters with one last clash of wills. This is the last of the planned side content for the game now implemented and playable.
⦁ A short chance meeting for Nat with Kate, where we hear some thoughts/plans/goals for the future from one of our first and most beloved Original Characters. It’s a shoat and sweet scene with some hope for the future, but it’s bitter in that this is the capper for Kate content in AoH:MoAR, making it her tentative final appearance beyond any post-game wrap up end scenes. We’ve loved our time with her, we can’t wait for more.
⦁ The last of the Act 1 scenes, originally written by the game’s artist before the founding of beWilder as a 2-person team, have been rewritten in the style we’ve all come to enjoy. Now the game’s full scene content is in 1 consistent style, by an English native speaker too. Said scenes have also been updated with clearer story info, lore and secondary character details as necessary, since such things have been expanded/edited/polished since the early months of the game as we have developed our beWilderversefurther.
- Community Feedback
⦁ We’ve taken a list of typos down from eagle-eyed players who have reported them. We’ve corrected these mistakes in about a dozen scenes, ranging from scenes in v0.4 up to v0.17, including such scenes as:
- Cat captured by Faceless Joe in the alley
- Miller’s Penthouse Briefing (Corrupt version)
- Nat Meets Kelsey
- Cat Caged (Good and Corrupt versions)
- Nat’s Later Infirmary Scene (Corrupt version)
- Nat Visits Maeda Scene (Bad version)
- Nat’s Mirror Speaking Scene (Good version)
- Bad Nat and Scout Scene
- BRASS Facility (Corrupt version)
- Nat and SWAT Bar Scene
There are of course, countless more to find and correct, more than any 2-man team can completely quality control. If you find more, please let us know so we can attempt a future correction before we reach the end of the game’s development. Thanks to all those who pointed these out to us!
⦁ We’ve received word of some potential errors in scene conditions, specifically on the Good Nat path post Mission #2, where some Bad Nat exclusive (and mutually exclusive with Good) scenes play between Good Nat’s. We suspect this is due to the player’s ability to chance paths during Mission #2, but so far we have been unable to recreate the situation on our end after fixing a similar issue in a recent version. We’re on the lookout for any sign of this bug, so please aid us with community feedback if you find this is happening to you.
- Known Issues
⦁ There is an issue with Mac OS's Catalina which is not addressable by us on the developer side, but can be worked around on the user's end. "Problem is specifically with the guardian system that won't let un-noterized applications run on Catalina. The solution is to chmod -R 777 "/appdirectory/" from the terminal as the application did not have the executable flag set. (Example: chmod -R 777 ~/Desktop/AoH_022_Mac). After this guardian catches it and control clicking on the app lets it be opened." Repeat: Then you've got to CONTROL+Click (not double click like normal). That should allow the app package to run, if not, please tell us!
⦁ We have one Known Issue with the Gallery UI which will be taken care of in future versions, when time permits. The scenes listed in the UI all come with a colour coded icon in the top left which denotes which version of Nat it corresponds too (Standard/Common path, Good, Corrupt and Bad). However, for now this icon is only denoting Standard/Common for all scenes, which will need to be manually fixed for each scene in future. For now, the scene name text label denotes which path the scene should correspond to.
⦁ There is a known issue involving the main story and conditions on the Nat character paths. If the player ignores the main story to the point they miss completing Mission #1 (Day 5ish start) by the time Mission #2 kicks off (Day 12), they will be stuck in a limbo state of having missed the main plot of the game. We will be resolving this minuscule player experience in future versions, possibly with a Bad End since Nat has purposely ignored all story actions for weeks, until after it’s too late to resolve the story. Anyway, a heads up on it, try not to do that alright?
