Goals Aplenty, for a Bigger and Better beWilderverse!

Hey there fans and friends alike, welcome to another post extraordinaire! We’re glad to have ya here as always, but today’s post is a big one, and quite serious stuff too, so we’re going to hold off on the usual fanfare for just a few and get stuck into something special. Get comfy there, this one is going to be a big one!

So folks, let’s start things off with a milestone, shall we? We shall! For those not yet in the know, this coming January 25th marks the first public announcement of what would become beWilder! Yes, it’s nearly been a year already! On top of that, February 7th brings the 2 year anniversary of the Agents of Heels engine test and two full years of this page up and running, with Unshi as a pro adult developer! Both accomplishments are pretty awesome, and something we hold dear, but that’s just the background for what today’s post is all about. They’ll have their time in the spotlight, fear not! So then…

Today is all about our goals for the year, our goals as a team and what we have been planning for over the last 12 months. We originally meant to do this a long time ago, but as promised we’ve got it all put together before our big year’s celebration. So then, let’s go through our aims, hopes and dreams right now, and see what your support is helping us towards!

Goal #1 – Full Time Work

Alright, we’re in it now! This is our first and foremost goal, and always has been. We’re not one of those hobbyist devs who say “Hey, give me $$$ and I’ll quit my job for you! Until then I’m not serious about this”. Nope, that’s not us. Back when this started 2 years ago Unshi left a real world tech job many would kill for so he could follow his passions, while Spook folded up his start up medical tech company to join the fun and breathe life into the beWilderverse. What we’re saying is we’re committed from the very start. That said, one (or two even) cannot live on air and passions alone, and being aware enough to keep on top of that is important too, hence the baseline goal.

We’re blessed and forever thankful we can make this out fulltime profession thanks to y’alls support and as long as we stay at or above this goal’s benchmark, we can spend all our waking hours on our content. Should we fall below it, well it won’t stop us from giving it our all, we’ll just need to carve out some time here and there to keep food on the table and the render machine rolling until we are back in the black! Reasonable, no?

And speaking of rendering machines…

Goal #2 – Spook is on the Board!

Sense and sensibility covered above, now we’re into the fun stuff. Onward and upward ho! Our first stop is to get Spook a starter set up for rendering and a proper workstation. Would you believe he writes all the game scripts on a phone? Well don’t, because that would be silly, but ever since we began he’s been running on a stock laptop so this is a needed upgrade for us, for more reasons than one!

As it is now, Spook is about ready to start some tutelage in how to make Unshi level art, he just needs the equipment. We’re under no illusions that it will happen overnight, and Spook will be the first to tell you that writing is always going to be his focus on the team, but upskilling is a boon to us for sure. By learning the ropes first hand he’ll be able to understand innately how he can improve his scriptwriting and art directions for NTR and beyond. In addition, the smaller tasks he can take on free up Unshi for the bigger things, and in the worst-case scenarios, such as when Unshi was down with the flu last month, we have a back up artist to keep us rolling. All good things, right? Well we’ve something more on this too!

We made mention of it before on our Discord, but with Spook’s training comes a unique opportunity. We plan on blogging his learning experience each month in a bonus post series, as he learns his way up from Day 1 Rookie to Semi-Pro and beyond! We’ll be theming all his training work around a new beWilderverse branch we call WMD or Women’s Majorleague Dodgeball! That means new girls, content and sex time! We’ll have more on that someday we’re sure, but y’all might enjoy knowing it’s already beWilderverse lore the same way Witch One is! Alright, before we get off track, back to the goals…

… And speaking of rendering machines… oh wait, that was the last transition…

Goal #3 – More Unshi for the Pushin’!

Now we’re really talkin’! Yes indeed, while Spook as a long journey to take with us all, Unshi is already a skilled artist… but you knew that. He already makes the kind of content we all love, so what we want to accomplish here is to get more of it! More and more per month! Time has always been our limiting factor, our leading enemy, and our attempts to change how calendars work hasn’t been showing much promise so we’ve got a better idea! Unshi’s system is pretty good, if a little dated and underpowered for what a true pro should be packing… after all, he built it more than 2 years ago now and before he really hit his peak as an artist or before people really showed a love of his work.

Yakkity yakking above all done, our point here is that Unshi really could benefit from improved equipment, reducing the time it takes to render each CG, and better the effects he can pull off too. Remember that NTR title pic we all love? The one of Noe by the window? This one? That took 7 hours. Yes, 7. A massive chunk of a working day well spent, but with better hardware we can cut that back a whole lot and have all the more CGs to pack our content with!

A case in point… you might have wondered over the last year, why so little Lara and ‘The Last Raider’ comic? Easy really, as much as we’d love to have her every month, and other comic ideas too, an update can take 4-7 days just to render all the art, which means we’d spend up to 25% of our month’s time on the comic over the game… and that’s why we have updates far between, spending a day per month or so on her adventure. Our aim with this goal is to be able to cut this time right down and get our side media shuffling much more. That’s our priority here!

… And speaking of rend… oh, you know the drill by now!

Goal #4 – Even Robots Need Friends!

Back when it was Unshi all alone, things didn’t run as smoothly as they do these days. Fans from back then will tell you that, and we even still have a fair few with us now if you really want to ask. While Unshi was working hard on one aspect of Agents of Heels, others were sitting and waiting to be handled, such is the way things work when you only have one man on it all. When Spook’s energetic hands came onboard, we were able to pick up things faster and better, as only two can do! So then… why can’t that same idea apply to our equipment too? It can in fact!

No matter how well we upgrade Unshi’s workstation in the previous goal, once we start rendering it means a bottleneck in our workflow. While the machine uses all it has to create that pic of our girl’s dirty bits, it can’t do anything else, nor can Unshi, art wise. This might just be our biggest drawback in our production, as all that time adds up and limits the amount of CGs we can make per month. Our solution is to get a second rig put together especially geared to handle renders which will leave Unshi’s main PC open to scene work while it turns over. This set up means we’re near constantly rendering as the moment one finishes, another is ready to go. With many more CGs, we’re looking at bigger and better game updates in the same great beWilder style!

Alright then, by now we’re well and truly tooled up for years to come, so what’s next are our super stretch goals that will put the polish on these things we call our life’s work!

Goal #5 – All the Eye Candy, Ever!

All the previous goals have been geared towards getting our workflow maximized and our skills primed to perfection, as content volume and our battle with time is our biggest challenge development wise. We believe that we are a quality team and if we can improve our quantity alongside it with each update, our beWilderverse will be all the better, as best it can be! You agree, right? Well, perhaps there is one more thing that can make it perfect!

With all that productivity behind us, as the years go on we are looking at the potential for dozens of games, comics, and all that lovely beWilder content we all enjoy! To make sure our 20th project is an amazing as the first, or even more so, we plan to amass as big a stockpile of 3D assets as we can afford, as well as jampack our sound / music libraries and fill up our codebase with assets packs that we’d be better off saving our time on than making ourselves. With all these goodies we aim to keep our ladies unique and sexy, our worlds vibrant and lively, and our games worth your time in playing.

We already make the most of the assets we have, creating custom shaders to give clothing new looks and even building whole new environments from a collection of parts so it’s all unique. Just look at Easy Street, try finding all of that in one package we tell ya! Little Toscana alone is more than 5 environments built together! One of the things we aim to avoid most is having our quality goods look like the cheap fodder games just because we all have to make use of a limited asset pool, and with this level of support we won’t be having that problem we tell ya!

Alright then, we’ve one last goal to go over… grab a glass of water to stay hydrated and let go!

Goal #6 – The World is Not Enough!

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… us two, we’re ambitious guys. We think it’s important to aim high and not sell ourselves short, and that’s what this goal is all about. While this is a significantly higher goal than anything we’ve achieved yet, it doesn’t mean we won’t one day reach it and we’re always going to be reaching for this special something! What is it, well, even we don’t know just yet, but the potential of what could be is the dream here!

At this level of support on a consistent basis, we’re looking at a beWilderverse like nothing we’ve ever seen before, and it deserves something special to be a part of it. Something spectacular that the fans can simply love, over and over. Something like an animated short, a serious novel you’d find on the shelf of a bookstore, a collectible card game of sexiness… the sky is the limit. We’ll all come up with a project of our fans choosing should we ever get close to this one, but we can say for certain it won’t be a line of physical merch, because that’s something we plan to do anyway!

The whole point of this goal is to say to the world that we aim big. We see our world as having the ability to someday be more than “just porn games”, to be something worth a lifetime of tender lovin’ care and filthy mindedness! It is to act as a reminder in the best of times and the worst that we should always aspire to put in our heart and soul to our work, because otherwise we are only selling our world short. It is to act as a signal to all our fans that we intend to be in this for years to come, with big plans in mind and that we want you all to be a part of it! Don’t you want to be a part of it?

Alright peeps, we’re about done talking here for the day. That’s our best foot going forward and our plans to accomplish big things with the support you show us. Now we’ve got to go and strike while the iron is red hot like Nat and sexy as Hell like Noe! We’ll be keeping track of these goals going forward as they sit on our page now. If we can reach any of the goals and sustain the support levels for them for most of the year going forward, we aim to be ticking them off by the end of the year and having them in effect well before the time we write up our “Two years of beWilder!” post in 2020. All the added support from our Commissions will go to achieving these goals too, so keep an eye on our progress and a sincere thanks to all who have already helped us achieve our dreams! We aim to help make yours all the sexier in return! So then, until we sail over that next hurdle…

Be dreaming big and beWilder!
