beWilder’s Wildest: Prelim Round #3 Winners!

‘Allo-‘allo! Welcome back all beWildernauts! Ready for one last look at the changing landscape as we run into the final Prelim round of the year? Are you ready to celebrate some wins and thrills as Round #3 comes to a close? Goodie, as that’s what we have for y’all here and now!

So, let’s start with the biggest and most important news now, we’ve got our #3 Seeds for both sides! The third seeds for both series are Mystique and Asana! They won the day and the round, but not without a fight! This round gave us a good pair for those who like the minor ladies, as we’ve yet to see two in-game scenes between them and yet they took in the votes, capturing the hearts of the fans in their own ways. There are more details below, but first we have some eye candy for all!

“Yeah… right. And who would that be?”

“My ‘Chi’ got people’s attention! Mahalo, my spirits!”

Mystique has been putting up a good show all contest, trailing but always within the margin of making a Seed her own. Well she did it this time and she is now #3 for AoH, and she separated herself at long last from Ivy. However… it wasn’t a clean win, not at all, as in the last few hours Cat pull closer and even stole a vote from her to tie it up in the closing stages. It was thanks to her consistent vote getting in Round #1 and #2, she won the tiebreaker and took the victory. Sorry Cat fans but every vote counts and Mystique had more behind her.

Asana’s contest actually played out the other way around. She pulled in her base supported again but when the dust settled she was deadlocked with Kriem for first place. This tied up match even spurred heavy and heated chat on the Discord people were so excited. But as time went on, Asana opened up the gap by supplemental votes, spreading herself as wide any good yoga mistress would, while Kriem’s support dropped off. A vote stolen by Asana from her, a vote stolen from Nancy by Asana too, and another vote to Kriem’s name that just disappeared (never to be cast again) meant Asana took a clear win. Good thing somebody did as we didn’t have a tiebreaker for those two!

Some other notable runs this round included Beth who rallied to a tie for second along with Frankie (who herself was one of only few girls to hold their vote steady) and Kriem, and of course Cat who rallied the most we’ve seen so far. Kudos to Kate and Dyana to who may have done well enough this round to keep some measure of hope alive for the last round, we’ll see how it all turns out.

This time out AoH took in a total of 27 votes, 7 of which went to Mystique which means she took the win and the Seed after slim 2 vote tiebreak over Cat. On the other side, NTR took in 24 votes, and Asana took the win with the most votes of the whole Round, a high-stepping 8! So then, let’s take a look at the scoreboard now that the Prelims are three-quarters over! Just one more to go…

And as we enter the final round of Preliminaries, here all the ladies stand. Again, we will have some analysis below, but again we have a quick reminder, and a note. As you can see, we’ve drawn a line under the Top 6 who are already through and parsed them from the remaining girls on the list. The Top 8 will sort themselves out come the next phase, and while we’ve left their vote tallies up for full transparency, the focus is all on the below the line girls as we enter the final Prelim contest. And our reminder is to watch the girls still fighting and their vote tallies now, as these are the final tiebreakers now that we’re on the way in to the last vote. But votes will not be counted cumulatively, Round #4 is where it will all count, most votes wins it all, but in the case of a tie it will be these numbers that dictate the outcome. We told you all ever round and every vote would count, and they do. Just look above for how.

Alright! With that down, let’s see some notable takeaways we’ve observed when going over the data! Here’s what we’ve got:

- Turnout is back up on the last round, but not as high as Round #1. We can’t say for sure how big turn out will be in the last round, but the numbers are steady and it looks like Round #4 will be as heated as any other., maybe even more so given it’s the last chance for many girls.

- We have much more movement in the table this Round than any other, as not only are the middle and bottom sections sorting themselves out and resolving ties, but some characters have really jumped up a few spots.

- Looking towards the last open seeds, all the top girls are running on near the same amount of support this round, except for Cat who took a massive step up. Other girls like Kriem have dropped in support and those like Frankie are dead even. It looks like any girl who wants to take the last spot will need every vote she got in this Round, plus as many votes from the Seed 1-3 voters as they can win over. Are you ready to back your best girl to the end?

- Sam pulled in not 1, but 2 votes now. A nice saving of face for her in the late stages. Now 19 out of 20 girls have finished a Round with at least 1 vote to their name, and even as a symbolic accomplishment, we’re still thrilled by it. Will we get the full cast by the end?

- After the last Round we said it was looking like we were down to about 11 girls (including past winners) who had a potential future in this running contest. Well, maybe we counted out one or two girls too many as Dyana, and to a lesser extent Kate, had a spring back into potential contention. What’s more, all the girls on lower end of that list had big showing. Cat and Beth are in no way out of this and even have some momentum on their side on the way in, even if the tiebreaks are not on both of their sides.

- Something else of note is a phenomenon we’ve observed for a while now, and not just in this contest. A fair few people have been see voting for characters (or options in other polls) on to then change their vote later to back the leading option. This happened with round too on one side. We wonder why this is? We’ve even a conversation about it on the Discord channel too. We’d like to highlight something here while we’re on the topic of voting. We never, ever, reward individual voters who vote for anything that wins. That would not only incentivise people to back the winner, not the question at hand, and thereby make any poll pointless. In this contest’s case it is even counterproductive as the minor characters who lose out on the votes will have their popularity analysis skewed. We just wanted to point that out, if people have a say on why this happens or why they do it, we’d be interested in hearing it.

So those are our big takeaways for this third round and last look before the history books are written. What do you think? Got something else you think is interesting from here? Do say so in our Discord channel or drop a comment below! Speculation a big part of the good times after all! But first, let’s see our facts nailed down so we have a good bases to spin our imagination on, which means…

… Here’s a look at the Bracket as it stands now! 2 places remain and there are 14 girls vying for them. And not just that, we’ve got our first two confirmed Head-to-heads too!

Mystique and Asana join the board and have their names and images marked down in the beWilderverse history books. They take their places opposite their first Knockout Head-to-head opponents, Kelsey and Lara respectively. We’ll be getting all psyched up for both those contests as we draw near, but already we’re filled with glee to see how they are going to go down! How about you? We’ve even seeing flashed of potentials for the semi-finals too, and each of the girls’ potential paths to that Grand Prize…. It’s all getting oh so real, isn’t it?!

And now, all eyes turn to those last slots and who could possibly fill them. Its speculation time! These last slots are the real underdog ones, but underdogs bread drama and upsets! After all, you can’t have David vs Goliath match-ups without a David for the match. So, at this late stage we’re looking to see if we all get a competitor who can do their best to force an upset, or will we get symbolic winners in a last ditch effort for some simple fan recognition?

We’ve only got 1 slot per series left, and if we are to go by this last round, or by the table above, it looks like Cat will oust Ivy from the board and take it herself. However, Ivy has had her name in every one of these speculations so far, so we’ll not count her out. Also, in the hunt at this late stage, Dyana is gaining steam and judging by the make up of the winners already, we might see a slew of support heading for Kate either. So, there are 4 women who look like they could plausibly take that last Seed.

On the NTR side, it’s just as much of a toss-up, if not more. Only 2 votes over the whole contest separate the leading 3 remaining NTR girls. Kriem has been a hair’s breadth from the win several times now (across many contests, not just bWW!) but she’s not gotten a win to her name since April. She just can’t finish as strong as she starts and that might be what costs her the Seed if anything. Will it happen again? Beth, who was on the potential board at the end of Round #1 is still in the hunt, and Frankie has yet to find herself in the Seeds, are both on the same amount of support as Kriem now two, and Round #4’s vote will be the ultimate decider.

And so we come to the end of Round #3, and yet we’re only getting warmed up! We have one last Prelim to engorge on before we hit the real road of the contest and pit girl against girl, woman against woman, and seek out our beWilder’s Wildest! With a whole Mini-VN on the line, we all aflutter to see out the next step, so we’ll see you all again tomorrow for this last stand! Get your game face on and get out there! It’ll be soon time to cast your mot decisive vote yet! Until tomorrow…

Be ready for one Hell of a sexy battle and beWilder!
