Shadow of the Tomb Raider FanArt

Hey there Wilders and Wilderettes!  Today is a slightly different day since I, Unshi, will be behind the keyboard to bring ya the news ! Hey, wait! Where are you going?! No... please … awwwww.

Jokes aside; I took this post off Spook since Tomb Raider is one of my favourite game series of all time. The first of the new games really threw me off in a very pleasant way; I didn’t expect much from it but I instantly fell in love with the story, character, gameplay etc.

For the second game, I was one of those guys… “Please don’t change it!.. First one was great… Please?”, and it didn’t disappoint me in the slightest. They didn’t take unnecessary risks and focused on making what was great even greater.

Today’s the 3rd release of the saga and I'm thrilled with it. I have high hopes since it’s obvious they took what made Uncharted great and tried to implement it in an already amazing game… so we’ll see.

About the art; you’ve probably seen a lot of Fan Art and Concept Art of 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' at this point so I figured I’d put my piece out there. Lara is clearly a grown up girl in this game (I’d say she’s hitting the same age as ours), and has a darker side the developers said we will be exploring during this game; so I based my art off of that. It’s a dark and yet inspiring Fan Art since we see it all go to Hell (literally)... but not Lara. She’s safe in the water; advancing towards her next challenge so we instantly assume she’s left her last job well and truly done!

I like it a lot. It says nothing and yet it says everything about Lara at the same time.

Some of you may notice I have put a lot of effort in the model and given her pretty much all the gear she may need. I added a bag, bow, climbing gear, walkie-talkie, watch plus some rope… and I even managed to make it all look good in place. I’m really proud of how Lara has shaped in this year and I’m really looking forward to playing with her.

As for our news update. We are working hard as ever on AoH's latest release and we have big, big plans for it! I’ll let Spook talk you more about it soon but I’ll say I’m not gonna touch Shadow of the Tomb Raider for a while… because I’m really busy… and really enjoying what I’m busy with :P
