How Candy is Made

Hey there everyone, hope y’all out there are doing well! We’re back at once more, and today we have a special guest, one who many fans will be familiar with. She is the silky smooth voiced friend of the beWilderverse and Adult content creator, Candy of VoiceLikeCandy. But oh no, this post is not about sound, it’s about Art! We’re going to look a little more at how we do it, this time up we’re looking at post-production effects as well as mixing skin tones with makeup, now let’s get right into it yeah?

So, we figured with some of our experiment and upskilling time this month we’d look into more makeup, skin texturizing and other beauty effects. Particularly working on areas where subtler makeup mixes with natural skin. We got some use out of it already in our character designs but given our ever-growing cast of girls, these skills will pay off several times over as we move forward. Since we would be making several test renders, we didn’t want to break out the heavy models for quick tests, and that’s when the idea came to us. We’ve been following along with our friend Candy and her unlucky troubles of late, so a quick bit of work later and we had ourselves a Realistic version of Candy whipped up to go along with our Stylized one from before. With that, our first goal to put a smile on a fellow creator’s face was complete! Here’s what we came up with:

Lookin’ good right? I don’t know who to congratulate more, Candy or Unshi. But hey, it’s only a starting point, now we have to knock it up a notch! Where to start? That’s obvious, with that backside!

The render came out well but there are some small errors. The skin on the butt is poking through the panties, they are just too thin to contain them (well, the collisions really). This is a common problem, so some Photoshopping the colours from the surrounding fabric to cover up the holes is in order. Now we’re looking even better. A nice tight fit with just a teasing touch of crack on show. Classy!

Now we’re on to improving the image as a whole, overall it’s looking a little dark for the warm and cuddly room of a young woman, right? Let’s fix that…

That’s more like it. Now the room is brighter and a much more inviting scene (as if you needed another reason to hop on the bed beside her by now). We’ve even brightened up the sheets to help draw the eye towards the lower half of the image where a lot of the tactile touch points are for the pic. They look a lot more crisp and you can almost feel the cool, soft yet firm sensations of running you hand over them, no?

Ok, next up… let’s get back to the subject of our attentions, she’s been kind enough to pose for us, let’s not keep her waiting. She’s looking a little faded now that the room is lit up, so let’s tackle that next.

Looking pretty sweet, now I know where the name came from! So, we’ve lighten up the skin tone around the face, using our post-pro software to hide the darker shades and to let the light tones in the skin to naturally rise. It would be risky to try play with the skin directly as the real-life version is not a single shade but an ever-changing gradient of shades with varying levels of pink and red too. If we were to get too overzealous in editing it directly we would end up hurting our cause and losing realism.

And then… we bleached her eyeballs… moving on quickly, we… huh? Ah, yes… we did say bleached. I know, not very sexy, but that’s what you got to do to make the eyes really pop and get the sharp contrast to the blue of the iris. Worth it though right? That’s a stare you can’t help but obey… Also, we left the eye make up here untouched from the texture work done before the rendering to keep it smoky and subtle.

You can already see, we’ve made a start on the lips already, so let’s move on to that.

Here’s a wider shot where you can see all the face work in the larger context. And those lips… damn. We ran some virtual lipstick over them in Photoshop, in a similar way as to how you would a real one, only with a little mouse tool. The key thing here was picking out a shade, and we think we made a good call with a bright pink over a luscious red. It doesn’t clash with the glasses frame nor the wider room style, and it helps bring out the natural pink of the lips to begin with. Fun how making an Adult game makes you learn about fashion, huh?

And as we can see, we’ve done some similar work on lighting up the chest area, which given the pose, trapped a fair bit of shadow. It’s important not to overlook things like this when post-pro’ing images. When your eyes wander slowly down her body from her face to everything else, and you know they will, you will end up noticing it if we had missed it and pretty quick too. That’s one easy way to break immersion, so do be vigilant if you ever find yourself in these situations!

So now we have one last thing to look at, and that’s a decent manicure. By now we all know you are wishing you can touch and be touched by our lovely lady of the day, we’ll be the first to admit we are, so let’s make sure that sensation lives up to the idea!

Thanks to the positioning of the hand and arm, we have little skin work to do after we upped the lighting earlier on, that’s a nice bonus! That means we can go right to the nails. Straight away we increase the white values of the free edge of the nails. Grown nails are a good sign of health and vibrancy while the simple short trim brings connotations of good grooming… and let’s not forget, tender hands… so we played them up to highlight all those things. We also brought up the pink in the skin under the nail. Since we are not going to give her a whole paint job (again, we’re working on subtly today) this is the best way to contrast the whole nail from the hand and give it some detailed definition.

Phew… what seems like a few small tips and tricks quickly became a full post and even more. We’re guessing you’re about ready to see the final pieces in all its glory? Yeah, us too! So, after a little bit of imaging branding, and no further ado, here we have a whole lot of Eye Candy!

Ok then, you guys imagine that, while we get right back to the job at hand. Regardless of our little teasing there, we’ve always got the girls of AoH and NTR to be playing with and they are not going away. We’ve got our hands full getting Kriem to follow directions, but we are moving through her content at a steady pace, ticking away as we reach closer to our next update! With that in mind, NTR’s wallpaper contest is running right now and we will have some more teasers coming up for what we’ve got, including our very own tattoo shop owner Clair who we have yet to show off.
