One Day at a Time

Hello there ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to rock? We’ve both been hard at it this week, more than usual anyway, since we’re in “Crunch Mode”. We’ve made great strides in the last few days and we figured we’d talk a little about exactly what today. It’s been a week of long nights and heavily used keyboards, but thanks to that we expect to finish up all the ‘engine work’ by bed time tonight (that’s nearly tomorrow morning by our standards)… anyway more on that at the end!

So what have we got going on? Here’s one of the things we got through this week…

Ta-da! Here we have the ‘Day Menu’, players of NTR will get to know this screen fairly well, fairly shortly. The day menu acts as a simple summary of Noe and her situation as the days go by. She’ll look it over and review it at the top of each day cycle. It’s simple and sleek, but there’s a fair bit of info on show. Let’s have a little breakdown, shall we? Here are some of the key points.

Day Readout: The day of the week is something to keep an eye on, as Noe only has a few days to herself each week and she cherishes them… that is, once she’s no longer the only waitress in the place! This read out not only tells you what day of the week it is, but if Noe is working or free!

Month and Day: The story of personal change and corruption is not one told in seconds and minutes, now is it? We’ll see the first week in Noe’s story come v0.1, but as we give you more and more to see, do and pursue, you’ll see this read out creep up and up. As of right now, there is no set ending limit, but Sal will strike if you give him enough time!

Debt: The all-important Sword of Damocles that hangs over Noe’s head. The goal is to drive this number down to $0 from it’s start at $100,000. This is also a good representation of how well Noe’s efforts to rebuild are going, and thus it will affect when story scenes may play out.

The Stats: Oh the lovely stats! The visual representation of the changes in Noe’s personality, for better or for worse. Nerve (as we like to think of as the positive version of Corruption) is key to Noe’s survival against her rival, but her Open-Mindedness, Romantic Spirit and her Competitiveness will also help her in her encounters with both the new and the old people in her life… or they may provide vital weaknesses to those who can use them as flaws and take advantage. Each stat lines up with a number of potential ‘friends’ as we as each of the other waitresses too. Noe’s decisions will drive these values, as well as her free time activities (more on that in v0.2) like playing poker, dating and following new experiences. So get out there girl!

Well then, has that helped to whet your whistle? Well, we still have news for you so buckle in. As we said above we’re just about done with all the ‘engine work’ for this version, but what does that mean? It means all our features needed are built and running. High five! As we stand now, all that remains between now and release is the content and the Post-Production. We’re more than halfway through the CGs but there’s still some busy days ahead for Unshi before he gets to rest! We expect we’ll be finished all the rendering by Thursday coming and thanks to concurrent work by Spook, we’ll be ready to jump right into a tight Post-Pro session. All that will remain will be the stitching up of the content and a thorough testing before we go sharing, but barring any issues we aim to have Noe for the Adventurous and wilder backers by Saturday of next week! We’ll also be following up with the remaining goodies of the NTR Wallpaper (come vote it you haven’t already!) and the v0.1 Walkthrough very soon after! Excited yet? Alright, it’s back to the dev mines with us, the game won’t make itself and we’ve got a schedule to keep! We’ll see you all soon, so…
