Stories within Stories ('Witch One')

Hey there beWildernauts, today we have a little looksee at the strings behind the stories of our games, just for all you backers! We hope you enjoy it.
 

So let’s jump right in. By now you all must have seen the girl in this post’s header image on our page, she’s the Bold tier image girl. Those of you who have backed us after the move to beWilder will have seen this header picture before too as our newest Welcome image. But who is she? That is what we are looking at today.
 

Let us introduce you to her… meet Val, blind amateur witch hunter from the space colony “Massachusetts One”, and the leading lady in the hit show “Witch One”. A while back when we announced that we would be making NTR we also told you all that our games share some common threads even if they are not wholly related, and “Witch One” is one of those threads. It is the hottest show in the beWilderverse right now and pretty much every character has at the very least heard of it (Noe is a big fan by the way). You might see or hear references to this series in both AoH and NTR, as one of those soft links to show off the shared world they both inhabit, a world bigger than just them.

But what is the show like? You can think of it as our very own HBO style softcore action / drama series. It is by design a tongue-in-cheek play on many of the big drama series of our own world, taking an interesting premise (the Salem Witch Trials but in Space) and gently teasing it from time to time between sexy scenes. And of course, being something Spook came up with, the name is a word play on the question “Which One?” for the suspicious nature of the witch trials, and “Witch 1” being a space colony number… well, at least the boy is trying, right?

Have you ever seen the McBain clips in the earlier episodes of the Simpsons? Did you know if you put them back to back they tell a coherent story? Well that’s what we’re going for here. There will be times when we get to see some small parts of the series play out through the other games, as small stories within other stories and with the aim to tell a mini-tale of its own in due time, while also advancing things in the games they make an appearance in. Keep an eye out for this stuff as we move forward.
 

Beyond a few cameos, you might ask, what else have we in store for Val? That is a good question. We have considered the possibility that she might get her own stand-alone beWilderverse content, either around the lives of the actors making the show or as the fictitious show itself playing out in more detail, be it game, mini-VN or comic… but those are just possibilities for now. We are really proud to be able to work in ties like this that strengthen our ever-growing universe as well as provide greater opportunities for even more sexy fun, but this is just one possibility of many we would like to follow someday. We’ve not forgotten our first loves of AoH and NTR, there is so much to enjoy from both of these series yet that we might never see the end! For now, let’s all just sit back while we wait and enjoy the view of “Witch One”, and maybe one day, if you fans enjoy it so, we’ll see even more of Val and company come to life!

Ok guys, that’s our little look at the mysterious girl who’s been gracing our page the last number of weeks. We’ll leave her with you while we get back to work. We’re just about entering the full production phase on NTR’s v0.1 so it’ll be an exceptionally busy time on our side the next few weeks.
