Feedback Week - Characters, Missions and Duties


0.4 is about Characters, Missions and Duties!

This week I've been working on the design of the new GUI to implement all this and I'm now ready to show it shamelessly :P

In 0.4 "Actions" won't be the only interactable thing any more. In some locations, a Character may be there waiting for you to interact with him/her. They may pop a new scene up or (if nothing worth having a scene happened) they might give you Missions and Duties.

What we had before called "Forced actions" (Quest Actions, like medical exam) will now be turned into "Duties" from Day2 onwards. Day0 and Day1 will remain untouched to give the player a feel of the game before hitting him with all this information (actions, stats, characters, missions, etc).

A duty is given by a character and, if requirements are met, it will add a new "Forced Action" on the map at the appropiate time and place.

Missions are a bit more complicated and I'll get into it next week when I've sorted out every little detail of them, but they will implement a new cool mechanic I'm sure you'll like.

You read my mind, as always :P The UI needs a few touches here and there but I'm also happy with the result so far, thanks ;)

Looking real good, I am indeed hyped up more than just a tiny bit. Sounds like a fun way to dig into some of the side content as well as give an incentive to people who might otherwise go an all Charisma stat Nat to buff in in all the right places. Interested to see the next piece on missions. Also the UI is quite nice as well, good job
